Bob gets busy bringing my crashed Suzuki GSX-R750 L4 back to life. It's still a long way off, but hopefully we'll get it ready in time for Suzuki Live at Cadwell Park on 22/23 June: bikes.suzuki.co.uk/events/suz...

Everyone needs a Bob
“Harley Davidsons, did they ever get that far” 😂 Brilliant.
He definitely gets paid by the hour 😂 takes 30 mins for an explanation
Would be great if you could share what it's all costing you - initial purchase, all the bits and pieces, etc. Of course you're not paying for the workshop hours, which would probably more than double the overall cost but it'd still be interesting I think.
It’s so much nicer when a bike is taken out of decommission and given a new lease of life. When Bob fired her up she sounded ready for the off already! Unfortunately we cannot experience the smell of the workshop and the first whiff of the exhaust fumes which all adds to the excitement!
Decommission 😂
@@ricardo6861 S L O W H A N D C L A P for you w. your genius critique 🤔
I like how he holds his beer like a microphone.
the sound of GSXRs is with the yoshi pipe
Agreed 👌 Michael keep the Yoshi pls!
👀 You need that Porsche too…
Great bikes GSXR 750's ....totally agree for a sports bike they are so balanced, and only require some little mods. Enjoying this rebuild Neevsey and it must be great owning your own bike rather than a loaner.
2013 was the best color scheme for the L1 Gixxer 750. I'm pretty jealous. Cheers!
I have the K8 600, those spark plugs are a … to change 😅
Wish i had a mate like that!!
Great video mate, I would prefer a longer video please 🙏 😂
I've been methodically recuperating from Covid 19 and have been down on my spirits the last 2-3years..My clutch plates needed replacing along with my clutch cable and a few other things...Well I'm feeling much better these days and managed to square away everything that needed to be addressed on my 03 gsxr 750 and haven't stopped smiling yet..So I can relate to the smell and that gorgeous sound of the exhaust coming out of my M4 stainless pipe..Woop!☺️😎🤌
This series has inspired me to start my own channel, so I've got an excuse to the missus to buy more bikes!
She's purring like a kitten - sweet 🙂 Looking mint already Neevesy 😎
Loving it. Looking forward to seeing it in action!
Starting to look great. Love the sound too, I have the same exhaust set up on my 2011 GSXR750. Not too loud or too quiet and still has 130hp at the wheel. Can't wait to see it all finished up😊👍
What a cracking appraisal and lovely bloke. Tasteful GSXR is somehow classy, I like the can too, surely someone out there can tidy it up?
Exciting times Mr. Neeves! I'm really looking forward to seeing both you and it getting acquainted.
Shaping up beautifully. Looking forward to seeing this put back together and on the road.
Loving this Neevesy, and really looking forward to seeing some road and track stuff on it
Great job guys she’s coming on nice 👍
Captive spacers are great I've got them on my K6GSXR made in the UK and great quality product,,so you will be enjoying your bike soon for the summer ⛱️,,from northern Ireland ☘️☘️☘️☘️😊
Thanks so much for the series and the little details that you mention. It helps me to get my GSX R-600 modified, learn more about it and even enjoy it more than I already do (got mine last year - 2016 Modell). I need to get captive wheel spacers now! 😅
Neevesy, once you got all body work ordered, I believe you should get the same design thats on your helmet and put in on the GSXR and could be a very rare “Neevesy Edition” 💪 ive just got my K3 GSXR 600 in the garage, getting all the fluids replaced after in for 2 years can’t wait to go along the journey with you 👊
Great to see it coming together. I have SBS RST pads on mine, you won't be disappointed, work fine on the road and awesome once you get some heat in them. I have HEL lines as well.
I changed the plugs on my l1 its everything you have to remove to get to them all adds to the fun. ❤
I love it! Everything, all of it! :)
It sounds bloody good Neevesy, bet you can,t wait to throw ya leg over it! 😆😆
Oh God this is getting dangerous now. My work-from-home dosser morning routine has become: make cup of tea -> watch the latest Neevesybikes -> browse AutoTrader -> ponder how a GSXR will fit in my small garage next to my beloved Hypermotard 950 SP -> research the cost of a divorce lawyer. Maybe I need to unsubscribe! 😬 Cracking job, very jealous! Looking forward to the next update...
Brilliant! Keep the routine going 👊
Great vid, can't wait for the next one
Excellent video thabks for sharing. Very informative and such a lovely motorbike.
Great job so far 👏 I like the progress 👍
Looks well. 👍
Love a good garage vid 👌
Great video, looking forward to the next instalment.
love this series neevesey. cant wait to see you enjoy it.
I love the love you're giving the GSXR! Regards.
Awesome video! I do love these! What a beautiful bike. Best!
Seems you’ve bought a little gem mate here 👍🏽, all coming together so quickly , i bet your well chuffed , sounds awesome 🔥🔥🔥😎
The 991 GT3 looks 🔥
Marvelous bike!!! Good acquisition 😉👏I hope you enjoy it A LOT!
That is a very tasty bike!
Nice to see your GSX being improved and made ready for the season, I put some braided lines on my CBR400RR and that really has made a difference in braking confidence and riding the thing as intended. Put a new bike in the garage this weekend and I know you enjoyed the V100 Mandello at the launch in Italy Neevsey, so finally pulled the trigger on one and getting to grips with so much tech and torque!
Should get in contact with mhp exhaust they will sort the dent out on the exhaust
Great stuff, wont be long before that's back at your place. With Bob on the case.
Love this.
I'd love one of these
Congrats! Cool bike and awesome garage with apparently a Gxer guru!)
I loved my 750 - first sport bike and had everything!
I would love to know where you purchased the right angled valve stems ? I have a frustrating time checking tire pressure and adding air with the standard stems on the Suzuki. It's doable but would be so much easier with the ones you have now. Cheers
Great video
Thanks for these videos Michael. I’ve been on my travels. Just back from weekend at Le Mans MotoGP. The speed and skills on show are amazing. Particularly their braking which has to be seen to be believed. Got me thinking, how quick could I lap on one of the GP bikes and how quick could any of the MotoGP riders lap on my old SV650. You soon realise that it’s the rider not the bike that is the key factor in riding fast. Love to hear your thoughts on rider skills versus bike bling for quicker lap times. Is there a sweet spot? Cheers.
Cheers mate, good question! 😊
My HDs were always noisier than the blade hed just failed on noise. So i asked why. He said it just saves me the trouble of switching pipes once a year as he knew i ways kept the original systems.
Abrazo desde Argentina . Great Bike Congrat
Nice Porsche too
😊 Mate, can you stop hyping the 750 up! At this rate the price will jump 30% and i was planning on getting another one at some point. I've had a K3, a K8 750. I was looking at the same model you have just had too. But a clean SL1000 Falco came up so grabed that for now to replace my 1100 V4. Going old skool again. Bumped i to someone who knows you the other day here in New Zealand. I'm an EX pat myself working in the motorcycle industry here. Forbes and Davies, Cassons AU, MCH holding ltd. I'm guessing with your years in the industry you recognize some of these name. Loving the channel, watching while sat on my spin bike. Enjoy sir. Wishing you all the best from New Zealand. Regards
The prices are already up to high. What I paid for my 08 9 years ago is what they are selling for now
about 2008- 2016 model years are basically modern bikes for outstanding low prices, as compared to new bikes
Tell him 2 crack on ffs it's summer!
Luv it
I like how a mcn employee .Mate i just ride the latest .I don't work on them .I love this tested mcn, latest new bikes .But i could never afford to buy one .To have as my own .
It's alive!!! Great to see and hear. What was needed to engine cover damage?
Can you give info about how much is total cost versus buying an undamaged similar spec example?
You have to flip the clip ons from left to right, upside down. One of the best mods i have done for my L1 GSXR 750. Its so roomy now👍💪
Bought 3 new bikes this year my ho to my 2024 GSXR750 best bike ever.
Yeah I remember when I learned about the banjo bolt on the oem master on my 1000. Ended up putting a real Brembo Corsa Corta master on it after riding it once. Oem rotors were fine for racing but that master sucked. And my god those caltive spacers are a must
Peroni 0,0% is surprisingly good, Cheers!
Great to see the bike coming together. Would you recommend Castrol Power 1 Racing for Gixers for normal road use? Cannot wait to see this bike finished.
the paint job at the levers, is as good as my brand new GSXS-GT, maybe even better ?
Was eagerly waiting for the next instalment, question for you where did you source the replacement fairings just a local dealer or a specific website ?
I've ordered them through Suzuki Vintage Parts
Neevsey, I'm looking for my next motorcycle. I've owned two street triples 675, a zx6r, and cbr600rr. I want the bike to be reliable. I'm looking at the mt09 (can't stand the looks really), another street triple in 765, the 890 duke, or maybe something spicy like a tuono. You always recommend the bikes in looking at, but in your dream garage you have a tuono. I'll be predominantly on tight mountain roads in north Georgia. I do plan to do some track days too. Thoughts?
Great job with the Gixer. Would you mind letting us know what make and who supplies the angle valves because I have tried a few but they never seem to work properly. cheers Tom
puig makes them.
👍
Wow great choice but you know better everyone about bikes
I am guessing this is your 911 in the background... ;)
I wish! I’m a bike journo, remember 😄
🐦🔥🏍 🤙Awesome work 💯 👌 🎉✨️
Very nice.. please keep a pipe on it...
Hey Michael, Nice to see the bike is coming along! 2 questions for you. Firstly, where did you order your front sprocket from? Secondly, will you need to change the chain at all? Thanks. Rich.
Hi mate. It's a Renthal sprocket...and you won't need to do anything to the chain. It just lengthens the wheelbase a bit.
Thanks mate! Looking forward to the next video! Good luck with the rest of the build! 👍🏼
go to bike bits in Ramsgate
Anything with hot sticky tyres, i like to run a radiator guard. Is that a suede seat? I'd probably go back to original and run Stomp grips
Make sure that radiator guard doesn't gather small stones and wear through your radiator. It recently happened on my GSXR1000R. I've heard it happen to a couple of others too. I take mine off to inspect every couple thousand ks now.
@@GSXR.Knightman Cheers. yeah had a pretty good run with them. Our old track had fine gravel coming into pit lane and I'd say it was the lesser of two evils for sure
@doctorhelicopter less of 2 evils for sure. The guys in the shop I take my 1000 to said my radiator would have been totalled a lot earlier without the guard. The country roads I ride are in really bad condition. The local council has a tar spraying machine that adds tiny sharp gravel shards and they never sweep the roads.
Is the 16t front sprocket different from a standard one..? Also will you change the rear. 👍
Yep, 17 is standard. I’ll leave the rear as it is 👍
Love the Porsche, yours??
I wish! 😃
Hi Neevesy, I’m a poor man with rich tastes - I currently own a 1998 Suzuki gsx600f (converted to a Cafe Racer). If ever funds permit, I would love to buy another bike, particularly a Mv Augusta F4 750 (around 2000 model year). I know on paper the gsxr750 would be the better option, but the MV just takes my breath away looking at it. Any advice you have for considering the future purchasing of the MV, what’s good / bad about them and reliability? Thanks for the great content, from an avid viewer and aspirational squid 😁
If you want the can sorting then contact a guy called Charlie Morris 👌
Hi I currently own a K7 GSX-R750 which has done 40k Miles is there much difference between these older models to the L series that you have just bought? Also will you remap the bike once you’ve got it on the road thanks
Asking if maybe someone would give an advice? I currently have a 2019 Street Triple RS. I am looking at converting it as a pure trackday bike (daytona fairing and clip-ons). Dont have much time anymore to ride on the road and I drive to fast on the road tbh. Would you advise to keep the STT or sell it and buy a GSXR 750 (also modified as a pure trackday)
Put a turbo on it
Captive wheel spacers? £££
What year bike?
2014
Nice vid. Is the Porsche yours?
I wish!
What year is that Slab side GSXR?
‘85…
Very sweet I'm a 1200/400 Bandit guy built 5 150hp Bandits with help from Dale Walker Holeshot performance parts!
Ship that 85 to me when finished:)
Think it looks better naked....but then again who doesn't?
I wish people would hate this bike so the prices go down lol.
Wow she sounds absolutely sweet as a nut ! Great news !
Hard to believe a Manufacturer won’t Gift you a Bike whenever you want one? Hell , I don’t even own a motorcycle company and I feel like I would Gift you a bike just to see it on the channel!!! This world is full of greed!!
This series is just talking 😂.
It looks so naked bro
Sounds sweet 👌
Going to be such a great bike. First thing I always do with new bikes, is put those right-angle valves in, cheap, but makes life that little easier :) Did they put this engine in the GSX-S 750?
