    • They do this because 98% of players are faking injury when they go down these days. If your older than maybe 25 you will know that if a player goes down a puts his hand in the air it means he's really injured nowadays players like bruno Fernandes does this 3 4 times a game and gets up straight away after

  • This year I got to watch the high school where I teach win a soccer state championship. They were a great team but even more importantly they are great young men. This video reminded me of several moments I witnessed from a bunch of 16-18yos this year. They showed so much respect for the game, for competition, and for their opponents. I just have to share one moment that really stood out to me. They were playing the #1 team in the state in the regional finals. It was 3-3 after regulation and eventually went to PKs they won in PKs and the whole team took off running to the student section to celebrate. After celebrating for a few seconds, 2 of our best players broke from the crowd and went to find the players from the other team, some of who just played their last high school soccer game. One of our players started talking to the other team’s players who were sitting at midfield. While our other player made a B-line straight for the Keeper who was still walking back from the goal with his head down and tears coming down his face. Our player grabbed the kid’s head and lifted it until he was looking him in his eyes. I don’t know what he said but you could tell the keeper was thankful for him. Then they shared a solid 20 second hug at the edge of the goal box. I tear up every time I even think about it. 2 18yo young men who just battled for 120+min shared a moment they’ll both remember forever. That’s what it’s all about. I also want to add this was just one moment of many like that from those kids.

    • 호날두는 한국에 와서 1분도 뛰지않고 벤치를 지켰죠..호날두를 보기위해 비싼값을 치루고 경기를 관전했던 팬들은 너무 큰 실망을 했어요. 관객들은 원성을 했지만 호날두는 벤치에서 움직이지 않았고, 고국으로 돌아가 sns에 조롱하는 글을 남겼어요.. 그래서 한국에서 호날두는 공공의 적이 되었답니다.ㅎㅎ 축구를 잘하는 것도 중요하지만 기본적인 인성은 갖춰야되지요. 2022카타르 월드컵 대한민국:포르투갈 전에서 호날두가 (본의아니게)한국을 도와줬는데ㅎㅎ 빚좀 갚았다 생각합니다. 이자좀 갚은거죠. 원금은 아직 남았습니다ㅋㅋ 호날두, 어떤 생각으로 그랬는지 지금이라도 묻고 싶냐한다면, 아닙니다. 아무 관심이 없죠^^

  • The most respect I can recall is from Sheffield United vs Arsenal in the FA cup in the early 90's. Sheffield United put the ball out of play so an Arsenal player could be treated. Convention is that Arsenal throw the ball back to a Sheffield Utd player. But they had new players unfamiliar with that unofficial rule (same for the manager). They scored the winning goal from the throw in. When Arsene Wenger (the manager) found out what should have happened he DEMANDED a replay for a match his team had just won!

  • When I played high school. We had a player from a huge rival school and the player was Scott Bailey. He was one of the best players I've ever played against and he chose basketball as his future unfortunately. But he was easy pro material. We lost to them in a championship and after the game, he was interviewed for radio and newspaper, he was asked who his favorite player was. He said it was me. I was a good keeper for sure in my own right. I respected him so much prior to this and when we played, we both gave everything on the field. The interviewer asked why and his quote was "I'm good, he's better. When we played, he was better. I have 3 goals against him in all the years since youth until now. He plays harder than anyone I've ever seen in youth to pros." I have the newspaper clip to this day. It changed who I felt I was as a player. I felt better about what he said than any win, championship, or game I've ever played. 23 years later, I still remember reading that clip in the paper for the first time.

Für manche ist der Verein das wichtigste im Leben. Um so schöner ist es, wenn sich Spieler und Fans auf einer Ebene begegnen können.
