People try to predict the economy not realizing it is not a capitalistic market, its a command economy, central planning! my concern is, instead of having much dollar in bank that could lose value to inflation, do I save in gold to reserve and grow wealth for now, or just hang on?

Love your show as always the problem is people can’t afford to feed there families and keep paying household expenses how can most afford to invest. I usually agree with you my friend but a little self awareness of what’s going on with the us household and consumer. I wish I could afford to invest more but with two kids in college which I’m paying for and a house to support it’s kind of hard to do anything else. My saving grace is both my kids are getting great degrees and jobs as engineers unlike these liberal arts degrees that go no where and I’ll have to pay for because these kids are irresponsible and I will have to pay there college loans. I still remember the first time I ever heard of bitcoin and it was from when a lady called Binita Barnes was on Joe Rogan's podcast and I was SOOOOOOOOOO convinced and interested that I was so close to buying an entire coin after that episode. The price was 13k Canadian at the time (If I remember correctly) but I only had 10k that I could afford to spend but stupid me didn't end up buying any bitcoin because I didn't have enough for a whole coin. That's a regret I'll never forget. Luckily I eventually realized 99% of people invest with experts over time... I'm a long term investor with Benita Barnes, I withdrew my profit of over £51,000 during the covid-19 pandemic

Poor people get screwed because we're living paycheck to paycheck (if that) and even if we wanted to invest in gold, silver, and commodities, we can't. And even if we can scrounge up a bit to invest, it's not functionally worthwhile to do so. My husband bought 10 bucks worth of bitcoin, bitcoin doubled in price , and we ended up with.... 20 bucks. We'd either have to put massively more into stocks than we're able to, or we'd have to wait much longer for any real benefit. Meanwhile, one of our cars broke down and we haven't had the funds to get it fixed. He's working 2 jobs and I can't get to the grocery store. Having groceries delivered costs extra, and food prices have been skyrocketing. I'm not trying to complain here. We work with what we're able to in life. But the idea that we could "prepare" in any meaningful way other than just psychologically-- I don't really think so. Doing what we can, and that's all we can do.

Fundamentally, based on economic principles taught forever, we shouldn't be where we are now. What we have to consider, perhaps, is that the playing field may very well put us (U.S.) on equal or better footing than other powerful trading countries. It's frightening the way money is being spend, to me. Yet, is it possible that because of my previous statement, the dollar is not in such bad shape? I am entertaining that idea, which I didn't previously. We are all pawns in a game we may not iunderstand, but think we do. I am not optimistic, but just considering that if we can stay ahead of Europe, Japan, China, russia, etc... perhaps that and will pan out to be the most critical aspect of what we realize. Maybe?

One of the frustrations I have with your financial suggestions, is that every time I try to access them, I can’t because I’m not rich enough. You want the poorer to access stability, but it is soooo frustrating to be trying to access things and get told “no”. I can gamble at the casino, but not allowed to invest in what you’re suggesting. Very irritating. The rules around “accredited investor ship” are skewed to keeping the rich, richer and the less so, “in their place”. Any other suggestions? Ones the not-haves can access?

The reason why for now anyway the US dollar is not going to be replace, is that every time people think that this nation or that nation will replace the US dollar people start to horde that nations currency. This causing "massive inflation" causing that nation to pull all available currency off the world market. So example China. China has pulled all of it's currency off the world market and even Hong Kong only trades in US dollars, only 1% of Chinese currency is traded in Hong Kong.

Euro is linked to dollar same as all western umbrella currencies. So, if dollar falls it will pull all of them to the bottom. The main problem is that $ lost his dominance in int. trading by at least 50% and with combination of lacking in resources, indebt and overspending it is a recipe for disaster.
