There is something I really like about Muhammad Ali. He does not hit his opponents when they are falling to the ground. He stops boxing at the first glance he realizes his opponent is falling. Other boxers try to make sure the opponents will not raise to their feet and hit them while they are falling defenseless. He is not only the greatest champion ever, he is also the noblest fighter ever.

One thing I notice in these fight is how much of a good-sport/gentleman ALI is in these fights. Once the other fighter is in trouble, ALI always pauses and gives the referee a chance to stop the fight. It is a stark contrast to the ghetto-bruisers who continue to pummel their opponent when he is already out.

Much respect to Ali for the Ellis fight. He knew Jimmy was out on his feet and just threw light punches, waiting for the ref to call it. He could’ve easily clocked him to make him drop, but his character was such that he wouldn’t unfairly annihilate an opponent.

One thing I notice in these fight is how much of a good-sport/gentleman ALI is in these fights. Once the other fighter is in trouble, ALI always pauses and gives the referee a chance to stop the fight. It is a stark contrast to the ghetto-bruisers who continue to pummel their opponent when he is already out.
