FORGING
Our manufacturing starts by heating raw metal to over 1,000deg and shape it between two dies on forging hammer by impact force.
This Forging process provides desired shape and also benefits of aligning the grain flow to obtain hardness & strength.
HEAT TREATMENT
After forging and some machining, pliers enter heat treatment processes. During heating & cooling processes within this stage, metal properties improve or change on strength, hardness, ductility, elasticity or wear resistance etc.
Our pliers are heated and cooled under tight controls and get extra induction hardening on cutting area to obtain ideal balance of these properties on its each part for superior durability.

I have today's pair in my handyman's bag, which lives in the trunk of my car. I'm a little paranoid about it being stolen or damaged/lost forever due to all the unpredictable things that can happen to a car, so my philosophy with the bag is that everything in it be more "affordable". Everything in the bag with the exception of a cordless drill is under or around $20 so I'm not out a literal fortune if something unfortunate happens. The pliers have never disappointed, and every time I use them, I can't believe they were only $12 😅 tsunoda really out here embarrassing the competition at this price range. The slim head has shorter teeth but I havent really encountered any situations where I felt like that was an impediment. Definitely the most bang for your buck for the budget conscious.
Wise choice keeping your expense tools 🧰 locked away. These are less expensive than most all other brands and have the quality and finish of an excellent Japanese manufacturer. Like you I enjoy everything about these. 👍🏻
Not trying to be an "ackschually" sort, just a correction. You mentioned casting marks, but its really leftover flashing from the forging process. Closed-die forging doesnt let the dies actually hit each other, and has a design to allow excess metal to be forced out from around the shape, kinda looks like when you stamp Play-Doh and has that excess all around the shape. Then it goes through a trim press which will cut that excess off. From there, they might grind the flashing down for nicer finish, or they might not. Seems very typical with pliers not to bother because it isnt hurting anything, saves a little money to not do the whole thing.
Fair point. Misspoke on my part. 👍🏻
I like the 3 position pliers being straight across because it keeps the tips even. The Snap-on and Icon having a curve makes the tips uneven in the center position. I will be getting the black set. Thanks again for your expertise
Of course. Enjoy.
NICE!
Yes they are. 😀
They look great but not sure why I would replace my twin grip from Knipex
The twin grip is not good for everything, there are things that the slip joints are still better at it, that's why there is options for everything
I have twin grips as well but depending on the job I find myself using various tools. These definitely have their place and are a superb bargain. 👍🏻
@@victorsalas339The twin grip is a slip joint. Maybe I’m missing something but what would these be good at that the twin grip will not do?
@@thingsmenyes, these are great value. I have other tsunodas and I’m not sure there is another company that has this high of quality without the high price tag. The value of this company is off the charts! I already have the twin grips and just don’t see what these would do that the twin grips can’t
@@nachoisme smaller, lighter, different jaw profile for different jobs.
$13 is ridiculous for these pliers. Can't speak highly enough of the Tsunoda brand.
Right. Super bargain!
Facts!! I have several Tsunoda brand pliers!!
Those are very nice slip pliers but they are not better than snap on.
Some may argue differently. 😉
