  • Those folks in Iceland building a Lava Pond Dam could sure use men of your skill. They're trying to prevent a spill way of Lave from inundating the highway. No trees.

  • I like watching John “testing the waters”. A few extra minutes BEFORE wandering out there makes it less likely that you’ll be waiting for someone to come dig you out.

  • Being a city boy, I've been fascinated with all the ponds in rural areas, at least on yours and Mike's channels. They seem like very expensive maintenance queens so my assumption is that they're not just decorative (or "water features" as city folk call them) or convenient fishing holes but serve a more basic purpose, for instance as a hedge against drought or possibly for firefighting. I keep forgetting to ask my brother-in-law (a lieutenant in a semi-rural, semi-volunteer fire department) about that. Or is there even more to that? Or less?

  • Love your work and the results are phenomenal! However, I don't know what the homeowner was thinking on this project. I just don't like the layout of the pond and trees, I would have opened it up more, made it a bit deeper as well. As it is, to many trees cover the whole thing up. But I imagine budget costs are a factor in these projects and you do the best with what you are paid to do, lol.

    • It looks like there is a development planned on the other side of the trees they left so I would bet they are there as a barrier for the view and if they are planning a gun range there it will also cut the noise a bit.
