[history]
The year after the Nagaoka air raid on August 1, 1954, the Nagaoka citizens rose to reconstruction, holding the "Nagaoka Revival Festival" on August 1, the fireworks display revived in 1954 and celebrated 70 years this year It was.
Looking back on the history of "Nagaoka Fireworks", the thoughts of "memorials", "reconstruction", "prayers for peace" that the predecessors have connected have been born.
The strong feelings put in Nagaoka fireworks have not changed even after 70 years, and are well handed down among us living now.

  • to everyone reading this, hope you have an amazing year. we all faced our challenges for 2 years and we’ve pushed through it. if we can do that, do it once more. 2021 wasn’t the easiest year for me as it was for all of you. we had lockdowns and having cases rise. honestly, to me it wasn’t just Covid that made the year hard. I lost one of my closest friends due to suicide, and thinking about them actually give me more encouragement to push through the pain I’m experiencing. I want you guys to push through and take the time to thank anyone who’s supported u through hard times! Have a happy new year ♥️

    • It isn’t though. There’s like 20 something vending machines per person there because living conditions are so unsustainable and they think technology will save the day of the lawlessness they are living because they do not know the Lord Jesus. And then there is a seedy underbelly where all kinds of sleaze and vile depravity are promoted. The less said the better. People are so lonely there people have started businesses where they charge people just to spend time with them and pretend to be their friend. There’s a big missing persons problem there. People leave their lives and abandon everything and never return - everyone knows where they are because of the idolatry though. And then there is the infamous suicide forest where people go to die. The work life culture is terrible and people kill themselves for their career goals. They are expected to work themselves to death. The social pressure for them to succeed is crippling much more so than is the case even in western nations. It’s a fascinating place too don’t get me wrong especially when there seemed to be more light in the world. Many amazing things. However you know it is a lost culture. I mean come on, it’s the culture that invented hentai. Stacey Dooley also did a documentary about how wicked that place is. So many abominations are happening there. I’m just saying…

  • Konichiwa everyone I'm a harf Canadian living in Nagaoka. I'm so HAPPY that everyone loves this fireworks!! But I'm sure that more than harf of every one doesn't know tne importance of this fireworks for our town. There was hundreds of bombs dropped on the day we hold the summer firework festival.And we lost lots of our members of the town.But right after the atack,we stood up and show everyone that we'll fight for the town and the people we love In 2003〜2004,the town was covered with water and a big earthquake hit the town.Again a lot of lives were stolen by that. But we stood up for them. Our town,Nagaoka came back from alot of difficultys , but like the Phoenix,we stood up.We send the fireworks to the people who we love and watching us from above.I think it's a good story and I hope alot of people understand the story of Nagaoka.Sorry for the long writing and Sorry if I have spelling mistakes.

  • Hello from the state of South Carolina,USA!!! This was absolutely stunning and amazing to watch. Some of the most jaw dropping fireworks I have ever seen. What a fantastic video this is! Because of Corona Virus a mass majority of July 4th fireworks shows in America have been cancelled,so at least I had this video to watch some of the best of the best fireworks ever displayed! Anyone with anything negative to say about this video and Japan's spending so much money, are just being haters. And haters have no place in this world. Just enjoy the beauty and sheer awe of the fireworks show and be grateful you are here to watch it,instead of complaining about it. Many did not have the privilege to see this beautiful collaboration of colorful fireworks,so be thankful you did. If you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all. The world needs more joy and moments like this in it to let go of all the trauma the world is experiencing right now. Live. Love.Laugh. Be thankful for all the blessings in your life whether they be big or small. Thank you so much for sharing this video with the world!🕊 🌍 🌎 🌏 🙏 💖 🎆 🎇

  • I remember in the small town I lived in the firemen would make an amazing firework show every Halloween night. We were only allowed to buy em then. I am thinking about getting into the hobby because I have studied rocket science by myself since I was 6.

  • Compared to most of the Fireworks here in the U.S. The colors of these are really bright and sharp, not the dull almost blurry neon look that many of the ones in the States have. Not to mention the cool shapes these have!! Thanks for sharing this video!! ;)

    • Rakesh Ambat this is not a cheap production, even at a wholesale cost, and without estimating the costs of emergency personnel, sound systems , professional pyrotechnic personnel staff, permits to close off the roads...etc (that is if it is a private event& not run by the government ....... you are looking the cost of a little over/under $1,500,000 - $4,500,000 for a typical fireworks large scale show.l (costs of fireworks , only!) the NYC Macy’s fireworks show in 2019 cost around an estimated $6,350,000 . . . . . . . And that was for the fireworks alone!! I am sure that Japan got their fireworks for a muchhhhh better deal ($$$) than Macy’s did!!!!!!

      @sokofilmsnyc@sokofilmsnyc3 жыл бұрын

  • Man I would love to see such a display in person.. the colors and size are absolutely stunning. For people that don't know blue fire works are the hardest to make and see and thesr displays have variants of blues and shapes in a single shell. Wow. Nothing like anything I've seen in the United States. I've seen the disney fireworks display and ones all over USA and this blows it out the water easy. I almost watched the entire 30+ minutes. Its art in my opinion .. the only thing that was up there with this is the guy that did the firework ladder into the sky .. I'm sorry I can't think of the name of the firework maker or what he called it but you can find it im sure just by typing in firework sky ladder. He's a contemporary artist and his art is thru his fireworks.. anyway awesome fireworks displays!
