Watched this again, and I may have to say again the commentary was biased for Taylor. They kept talking about how Gib was the underdog, when he wasn't, and how good Taylor looks while he's getting beat up. It's boxing you don't go in there to look perfect you go there to box and win. Winners win and Taylor wasn't winning, he lost every round.

rewatching after the mcbroom announcement, this fight should have been scored 5-0 gib. holder did nothing but eat body shots and left hooks for 5 rounds. the refs face when he raised both their hands told the whole story. good luck big gibber, this is a big one, and you got it.

Haha same. Rewatching both fights. I've got Gib winning, Gib's got that experience which is key. I think he's the more skilled fighter aswell, his technique might be sloppy but he's intelligent. His shot selection and movement was excellent in this fight. Broke through Holders guard and worked the body brilliantly. Mcbroom didn't really do anything special to beat Hall.

Watching a year later and I just can’t comprehend what the judges were thinking to call this a draw. Gib dominated every round, landed good body and head shots and not to mention he was awarded every round. The judges didn’t score it a draw, those three scorecards in no way could ever result in a draw. I’m pretty sure all of those scorecards scored it in favour of gib, but either there was a suspicious mistake or someone at social gloves wanted Taylor to win.

Gib's telling him he's doing well and to keep applying pressure while Taylor's is asking him what's going on and that he needs to step it up. You can see right after the decision is announced, Taylor seems upset obviously but his coach is telling him that's the best case scenario and he just got a huge pass. With Gib fighting Jarvis tonight, I had to rewatch this fight. Excited for tonights main event.

This is what I scored: Round 1: 10-9 Gib (Close round, but Gib was far more active and landing more shots) Round 2: 10-9 Gib (Holder lost this round cause he’s being wayyyy too passive) Round 3: 10-9 Gib (Once again, nothing from Holder, and Gib is simply being more active) Round 4: 10-9 Gib (Holder’s best round, but Gib landed some nasty shots. If you wanna be a tiktok fanboy, you could also score this round 9-9) Round 5: 10-9 Gib (no question) Also important to note, imagine if Holder was rocking Gib the whole time? Breathes. Pseudointellectual. You know nothing about boxing if you think Gib annihilated Tayler. This was Gibs 3rd fight in a massive arena and he was 20lbs heavier. The contract said 165lbs. 2.5 weeks before the fight, Gib said he can’t make that weight. The fight was almost canceled. Tayler was forced to put on an additional 12lbs. That’s pathetic and unprofessional. Gib should lose 75% of his fight purse for not making contracted weight. With all that being said; Gib still couldn’t wobble a much smaller man in Tayler (fvck height when youre 28lbs lighter on fight night). For every 15 punches gib threw, he landed .5 - judges were clueless IMO Ring generalship, technique, defence etc all go to Tayler. He made gib miss 4X as much as he “landed”. Now that Tayler has this experience under the lights and in front of 15,000 people - Gib is in trouble. This was Ali’s best shot at KOing Tayler and he failed. A more mentally prepared Tayler will allow his fluidity in the ring to show. Tayler by TKO in the rematch 100%. Gib will not improve. This was his best performance he’ll ever have bc he lacks fundamentals and techniques. Tayler will continue to sharpen his blades and hone his skills.

Yea that line was stupid.... but as someone who has done this for a long time, I will say Paige was right from a boxing standpoint Taylor is far ahead of everyone on that card but the thing is training boxing and being in a boxing match are very different.. It shows you what you are really made of... Gib was all heart and aggression and all though he needs to work on his technique he has all the natural grit that you need to be a boxer.. Taylor just understands what boxing is suppose to be which alot of people do.. " its easy to look good when hitting pads" Everyone has a game plan until they get punched in the mouth - mike tyson..

The judges didn't actually do anything wrong they agreed gib won As for the scoring system it's not based of 100 each round a fighter gets 10 point max depending on how they do so 50-46 would mean Gib did perfect and Taylor only did okay

Fucks me off when they're talking about how skilled Taylor was and he lost because he was too skillful. When they praise Gib it's on his willpower and stamina. There’s three major judging criteria in boxing, aggression, how much you throw, damage, how much damage you do, ring generalship, who’s dictating where the fight is,and efficiency, how many of those shots actually landed. Watched this again, and I may have to say again the commentary was biased for Taylor. They kept talking about how Gib was the underdog, when he wasn't, and how good Taylor looks while he's getting beat up. It's boxing you don't go in there to look perfect you go there to box and win. His shot selection and movement was excellent in this fight. Broke through Holders guard and worked the body brilliantly. Mcbroom didn't really do anything special to beat Hall.

Watching a year later and I just can’t comprehend what the judges were thinking to call this a draw. Gib dominated every round, landed good body and head shots and not to mention he was awarded every round. The judges didn’t score it a draw, those three scorecards in no way could ever result in a draw. I’m pretty sure all of those scorecards scored it in favour of gib, but either there was a suspicious mistake or someone at social gloves wanted Taylor to win.

The contract said 165lbs. 2.5 weeks before the fight, Gib said he can’t make that weight. The fight was almost canceled. Tayler was forced to put on an additional 12lbs. That’s pathetic and unprofessional. Gib should lose 75% of his fight purse for not making contracted weight. With all that being said; Gib still couldn’t wobble a much smaller man in Tayler (fvck height when youre 28lbs lighter on fight night). For every 15 punches gib threw, he landed .5 - judges were clueless IMO Ring generalship, technique, defence etc all go to Tayler. He made gib miss 4X as much as he “landed”. Now that Tayler has this experience under the lights and in front of 15,000 people - Gib is in trouble. This was Ali’s best shot at KOing Tayler and he failed. A more mentally prepared Tayler will allow his fluidity in the ring to show. Tayler by TKO in the rematch 100%. Gib will not improve. Watching these fights back reminds me how awful these events are. From the biased and idiotic commentary to the awful judges and lack of organisation it’s just a mess I mean how is a 50 - 46 score even possible when the maximum amount of points combined can only be 95 😂😂😂 Absolute joke
I wish we could have an event with a well thought out card with actually interesting matches and judges/commentators that are not biased and actually know how boxing works. The judges didn't actually do anything wrong they agreed gib won As for the scoring system it's not based of 100 each round a fighter gets 10 point max depending on how they do so 50-46 would mean Gib did perfect and Taylor only did okay
