In this video go over in detail how I setup the memory recall settings on my Sony A7IV mirrorless camera to access 4K and slow motion recordings in video mode and s&q mode as quickly as possible. I show you step-by-step how I create my memory presets for high resolution 4K recording, 120fps slow motion recording in HD, and slow mo recording in 4K resolution so that you can imitate them for your own use as a videographer.

Hello Peter, how do you expose your slog3? Over exposed to 1.3 to 2? And also for hlg3 exposure? Thanks.
When would I use these 3 different modes? When should I use high resolution and when should I use high frame rate or the third setting when shooting basketball? What does each mode lack and when is the best time to use each of them?
Hey, ok but how actually use those save settings? When i saved hd in movie mode as 2 it overwritten mode 1. You explained the settings and saveing them but how to recall them?
Do you still shoot in HLG3? Or was this just for tutorial purposes for people with 8-bit cameras? Looking forward to the videos you pump out with this camera!
HLG3 in 8-bit, slog3 in 10-bit
Tweaking presets for slog3 to get the same look as I was getting with HLG3 but with the added dynamic range and flexibility of Slog3
I feel a little lag when shooting basketball with 4k 24fps, when do you use this setting? in which situation
Not sure what you’re referring to by lag but i usually don’t shoot sports in 24fps. That’s usually reserved for interviews, KZhead videos, etc
If most of your recording is in 4k, then switching to HD for slow-motion, how would that 'flow'? Would it be jarring visually?
Lately I’ve been using 4k60 for slow motion, but even for the odd time I’ve used 1080p120, it really isn’t jarring as long as everything is exposed correctly and can be coloured to look good. Especially with compression when uploading online, it can be pretty tough to tell the difference between full HD and 4K as a viewer unless you’re pixel peeping
You prefer the a7iv over the a7siii?
They’re both great cameras and it really depends on your use case. I talk about it a bit more in this video: kzhead.info/sun/ZtaSdc6kZHZ_o5s/bejne.html
@@petersarellas Thanks Peter! Lol I was already about to watch that video next! It said a7iii and not a7siii so I didn’t know if you would cover both of the cameras in that one but I appreciate the reply
Real talk I do sports also and my 20 sec clips are like 1 gig.😂
It just be like that sometimes 😭
