Leon is 2nd all time for most powerplay goals in a single season with 32, the record is 34 which Tim Kerr had in 86. Leon will go down as one of the greatest powerplay goal scorers of all time

McDavid only assisted on half his PP goals. This guy is a left handed Ovi but his best asset is his passing somehow. Leon Draisaitl is an anomaly
All his goals beat tendies, not a single empty netter! Pretty goddamn impressive, LD is just a powethouse, beast, filthy, silky smooth hands and pure power in his body and shot. My fav 🏒 player by far! I mean the best passer/playmaker....putting up 50 goal seasons consistently is crazy. Much ♥ for Leon.
I didn't even realize he didn't have a single empty net goal! This guy deserves all love from Edm especially with that bargain of a contract
Its truly amazing how the typial one timer you see from players is a wind up, stick to the rafters shot, but Leon's one tee barely lifts off the ice. He's probably got a top 3 one timer in the league
Hockey Psychology did a great breakdown of this too and how he barely gets his stick off the ice when he's in a one timer position. The slapshot is disappearing year after year

So many powerplay goals. Also you notice how his goals actually went down from 55 to 52 when McDavid goes from 44 to 64 goals. The McDavid powerplay reliance is insane.

@@Kaleb-nb2xu no it really doesn’t, watch an oiler game and watch how dominant he really is. He’s easily the third best player in the world, sure he makes his points on the power play but he doesn’t play with mcdavid very much unless they need a goal late, hard to get points with yamamoto, and guys that aren’t nearly as good as what the other top end players are playing with
