Great video. Exciting collection! Can’t wait to see it all. We do it because we love it and it’s an interesting hobby. Exactly why I do it also.
Well said! Many thankd for the great comment and for watching!
Hey Stamp Sleuth, that's a good purchase. I felt sad when I saw those covers without stamps. But you've got some busy days sorting. Looking forward to seeing the next video. Happy Collecting!! 😊
Many thanks for watching and for leaving such a great comment! And yes i am still sorting!
Box One was a very nice batch of interesting postage stamps and materials. Looking forward to seeing whats in Box 2 & 3 ! Thank you for sharing it with us !
Thanks for watching!
I collect anything that looks like a stamp!
Yes me too and recently, well i have enlarged my scope of collecting, so many good deals out there!
Hi Stamp Sleuth, there were very interesting and beautiful stamps and other philatelic items in Box I. Seems like you did a good purchase again. Lots of material to keep you busy! I am looking forward to see what are in Boxes 1 and 2.
Thanks so much! I have to admit I kept quite a bit and had to add shelf space...again.
Wow, 230 dollars doesn't seem like a lot. Surely a lot of fun to go through and a wonderful journey what you might find. I am not sure how to approach those 3 boxes. Just go through them and then decide to what collection I would add first. By the way, wonderful that regular postage stamps are used and not labels. Lovely to see! Thanks for the video, really curious for part 2 and 3!
Fingers crossed!
The Ambassador was my first album as a kid back in the early 60's.
My sister had that one, as did I.
Very nice lot! I have found albums like those to be good for finding precancels and perfins - they used to be everywhere in stamp lots but seem like they are getting harder to find. Also saw some transportation series, a favorite. Loved seeing the 37-cent era of stamps and several shuttles in the last album. Looks like a ton of fun. I get box lots from a local dealer and often try to save the album pages if they are in good shape - built up a complete set of Minkus Globals that way.
Now that is resourceful! Many thanks for the superb comment and for watching!
Super!!!
I think so too!
I will collect cut squares - mainly if it is from pre-stamped envelopes in which the flap has sealed to the envelope or the envelope shows some small tears. It is a way of salvaging something from such stationery. I rarely colelct metered stamps unless it features a nice design - a found one recent pre-metered non-profit stamp featuring Mt Rushmore. Check the Transportation Coils for any coil stamps with plate numbers there are a few that are scarce.
You sound like a very dedicated collector, I will check those transportation coils!
Your excitement is contagious! Great Ebay win and tons of fun to sort through! You got all that for only $230 and was that with shipping??
No later in the video series I disclose shipping and taxed which brought the lot to $400.00, each box had from $40.00 to $60.00 of postage. I was a bit shell shocked by this which is why I only disclosed the auction hammer price!
I collect fiscals yet under it’s own country. So far it is Canada, US and Turkey. They are extensive and takes most of my free time. 😂
I can well imagine! Thanks for watching.
Madam, can I purchase from India
Sorry our postal system outside Canada is simply too unreliable.
What dream!
Indeed it is I will post a video of my favorites soon!
How much you paid for these 3 boxes?
$230.00 plus shipping which was a lot, total came to just under four hundred dollars with that shipping and taxes, but I found value there, will break even I hope!
I'm from europe in case you want to trade
At present I do no trades, way too busy with...you guessed it...stamps!
