Subscribe here ➤goo.gl/2tM0Yd Fly onboard Europe’s LAST Maddog just days before her retirement! Join the lucky passengers onboard European Air Charter flight BUC3139 from Burgas to Stuttgart as we fly onboard LZ-LDP, a 33 year old McDonnel Douglas MD-82. Watch some interesting traffic at Burgas Airport, including a C17 and an Antonov AN-12, before taking the bus to the aircraft for a walkaround to the rear airstairs. Listen to the APU startup before climbing up to seat 29A and enjoy the music of JT8Ds as they come to life. Turn your speakers up for some fantastic engine sound, explore the seat and cabin of the MD-82 and a smooth landing into Stuttgart! Join the pilots in the flight deck for a swift cockpit demonstration, including a GPWS callout test.
LD-LZP was the last MD-82 to leave European Air Charter’s fleet in October 2023, marking the end of an era, since there are now no remaining active MD-80s in Europe. Its last flight was from Hurghada to Varna on the 21st of October, where it received a water salute for its retirement.
