Tired On The Inside | Pastor Steven Furtick | Elevation Church
“I’m tired.” Have you said that lately? When you’re tired on the inside, it’s all too easy to feel drained, overwhelmed, and like nothing is going to change.
In “Tired On The Inside,” Pastor Steven shares from the story of the woman at the well in John 4, showing us how powerful rest can be -- if we’re looking for it in the right places.
But what if one of the reasons we’re tired all the time is because we’ve been going to the wrong well? What if we’ve been running to sources of stress instead of God’s source of rest?
Being weary doesn’t mean we’re weak. Maybe it just means we’ve been “filling up” in the wrong places. Maybe we’re tired because we’ve been pushing against what God is trying to call us into.
He said, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11 verse 28).

I learned a long time ago to go to the well of his presence when my soul is weary but lately I haven't even had much strength or get up and go to do that. Before I watched this message was sitting down trying to get into his presence but my head was hurting from a headache that wouldn't go away and my thoughts kept wondering to other things and finally I said, "I'm sorry God but I need to watch something to get my mind off this headache." I turned this message on and right away the presence of the Holy Spirit and worship came on me and I got up and started worshiping and the headache went away almost immediately and I was wondering what had happened and realized that the worship that you all had been in before the message was now in my room even though I didn't see it live so all I can say is thank you once again for being a conduit of his presence and a blessing in my life.

I suffered from infertility tried for so many years to get pregnant. I always prayed to god to please bless me with a child. I was watching a mother play with her son on tik tok one day I cried and screamed to God "God please give me a child!!!!!" that same day something in me told me to take a pregnancy test... it came back positive! I couldnt believe it I was in tears and in shock!I took more pregnancy tests and they all came back positive! A week after I found out I was pregnant I found a cross necklace a few steps away from where I worked at and I then knew it was really God all along and never left my side. I now have a 11 month healthy beautiful baby boy. He's turning 1 in a few days! ❤ God is good!💜Amen🙏🏾

I almost gave up tonight, I almost quit on life. Then I looked up I am tired on youtube expecting a sad song and I got this. I don't know where or how to sit with God but I want to. I want to go straight through instead of around. I want to life, and I want to live my life for Jesus.
I'm sorry for your suffering your not alone ever even when you feel like it. I know the feeling. To sit with God, to me, is to just get quiet, go in a room or somewhere alone and just try to feel God. Just start talking to him, out loud even and just pour your heart out, cry, thank Him for anything and everything you can think of in the moment. The times where I feel my lowest like I don't want to go on I do this. I get on my knees, and just start talking. Saying or thinking how I'm feeling and what's going on, but always thank Him as well. For me when I start going through and thanking Him (kinda tough when your feeling down I know) it's so much more healing in the moment then begging for His help, or asking for things. Have a good cry alone and just thank and Praise God. It may not make u feel 100% but it helps. Do this for as long as you need and soon you'll learn to to call on His presence and just be with Him. Hopes this makes sense and is alil helpful. ♥️🙏 Prayers for you.
I have given up many times suicide attempts od's and other methods. I was raised in church but addiction and bad choices clouded my spirit. I am here because god has a purpose for me and he has one for u. Be still and know that he is God. Keep building ur relationship with worship and teaching and God's word. That’s just what Jesus does! He shows up when we least expect it with exactly what we need and how we need it! He is never late and He never fails us. We all know about a time where darkness seemed bigger than the the light but then Holy Spirit shows up on the scene like Superman ; to save the day and to rescue His children! What an awesome God. Amen! ! I never regret surrendering my life to Him! My prayer is If there is any way within me Lord that does not give you glory, take it Jesus. Love you sister in Christ🙏🏾🙌🏽♥️

I have been listening to the music which is what got me hooked. I’m legally blind and in a wheelchair. I actually found Pastor Steven sermon three weeks ago. I absolutely love getting to hear a sermon. I’m looking so forward to Easter Sunday service. I’m not sure of times but will do my very best to be on time. It’s 2-17-23 I’m in a hotel right now, and by mistake, but not by mistake GOD had me listen to this sermon I needed this so badly!!! I HAVE BEEN SOOO VERY TIRED! So tired I feel heavy I’m in a hotel room because since my son died 2yrs ago I’ve been living in my car, not working not wanting to do anything except the wrong thing that numbs the pain and it’s not working anymore! Almost My whole life has been about survival and numbing the pain!! AND IM TIRED!!! I AM HURTING ALL THE TIME! IM SO ANGRY! I hate so much for haven to do the wrong thing just to feel good just to ENJOY something I DONT WANT TO ENJOY THE WRONG THINGS IN LIFE NO MORE!!! but thank today I needed to hear exactly what you were told someone needed to hear

I am working through addiction and have 7 months sober. I wanted to get back to my Christianity and spirituality and you Steven furtick has brought me back and I listen to you everyday!!! The passion and the way you preach is so powerful. Your helping me walk through life with a light in my life now. I love someone who's still in active addiction and your giving me strength to walk away and find my purpose. I made this church a part of of everyday life. Thank you for your connection to God.

Hi there, The Sabbath was "sanctified" or "קָדַשׁ" which means to set apart for holy use Gen 2:3 "And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it..." (KJV), and thus Adam and Eve kept it holy. Infact, sin is defined as transgressing or breaking any of the 10 commandments as per 1 Jo 3:4 "..sin is the transgression of the law." (KJV). So, when Satan sinned, he actually broke the 10 commandments for indeed angels also have to keep them in heaven Psa 103:20 "Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments..."(KJV). Infact, the saints, described as those that "..keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus." (Rev 14:12, KJV) will keep the 10 Commandments in the new heavens and the new earth including keeping the Sabbath holy by e.g gathering to worship the LORD as per: Isa 66:22 "For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make...it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD." (KJV). Hebrews 4:9 "There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God." My life has been up and down, my fiancé been catching the Lyft to work back and forth for a year, we been without a car for a year. I’ve been catching the bus for a year, but it’s okay. Hi there, The Sabbath was "sanctified" or "קָדַשׁ" which means to set apart for holy use Gen 2:3 "And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it..." (KJV), and thus Adam and Eve kept it holy. Infact, sin is defined as transgressing or breaking any of the 10 commandments as per 1 Jo 3:4 "..sin is the transgression of the law." (KJV). So, when Satan sinned, he actually broke the 10 commandments for indeed angels also have to keep them in heaven Psa 103:20 "Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments..."(KJV). Infact, the saints, described as those that "..keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus." (Rev 14:12, KJV) will keep the 10 Commandments in the new heavens and the new earth including keeping the Sabbath holy by e.g gathering to worship the LORD as per: Isa 66:22 "For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make...it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD." (KJV). Hebrews 4:9 "There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God." (KJV) The word 'rest' is translated from the ancient or traditional Greek Manuscript word 'σαββατισμός' (Sabbatismos) - A Sabbath, Rest. The 7th day Sabbath still stands active today for GOD'S people. I am not going to force you to keep Shabbat holy (I encourage to do a study on this matter) but if you end up coming short in the end, remember that the LORD did reach out to you using me. I have been saved my whole life but life has not been very easy for me. I reached the point where I am just so tired of things not going right for me, tired of being lonely, tired of not knowing my purpose. I begged God last night to please give me some guidance and show me he hasn’t forgotten about me. I don’t go to elevation but I happened to stumble upon today’s message and due to the title decided to watch. I needed this message so badly and even though I have never stopped following God I have not been sitting by the well. Thank you for giving me the word I needed to carry on!

He was 100% human and 100% God. If the Word says He was tired, I'm sure His human side was tired. He felt the heartache, and the accusations, and physical exhaustion, and the turmoil of his environment as a human. It's why the Bible tells us he escaped often to spend time with His Father in prayer.
Gods actions is always for us...to be love by him and give us prosperous life...

I'm so tired of dragging all of this fear around...I'm tried of dragging all this shame around....I'm tried of not hearing from God because of all of the other voices. God grant me the peace of mind to hear from you even while I'm tried. I have a church home but this is my 2nd one and I love it.

A fellow i met yesterday gave me a word... he told me to talk to God... He told me many don't recognize God's voice because it sounds a lot like their own voice. So they don't pay attention to the voice. But, one can tell if it's God's voice by the tone, volume, clarity and vocabulary.

I’m sitting here in my car sobbing my eyes out because this was what I needed... I have been this woman, I have had a horrible past when it comes to relationships, and I’ve carried so much guilt and shame. I’ve been so tired from emotional pain for the better part of a decade, so much so that it has impacted me physically and I am struggling with chronic severe pain. My body and my heart hurts every day and I want so desperately to find peace. This message aided in my healing; thank you so much.
I pray the Lord would come and take this burden from you Kate, He never meant you to carry it in the first place. I too have had many unsuccessful relationships and two failed marriages, but in this Covid time I've really felt the Lord drawing near to me as my beloved, and I know if you will let go of the past and it's mistakes, He will come as your beloved and create a new and beautiful relationship with you that will never grow stale but always go from new glor to new glory. I also pray for your healing from chronic severe pain that His precious blood would wash over you right now as you read this and a miracle of healing would come in Jesus name. Right now I know something is breaking off me. Worship music does Aid me...The tasks of life, the jobs I'm applying to don't seem important. Do need increase in finances...the Deep tired is related to my son (In anger, he went to ex husbands- we share custody). 3 Mos plus- wdnt talk to me. I slipped on ice. ER ALL night. Barely slept..got called Not caring. Nursing my self ...offense was taken. EX not understanding. Had just started to be better w covid...I was "found guilty" and told to apologize, not do that again. ?? No slipping on ice- I can't promise that. IS v hard to apply to jobs...feel completely unwanted( I know that's wrong). Am nervous starting any new job. Son came back mothers day. I see him 1 day. He graduated. Praying we have more time together. I m not going to Receive anger...I ll go out and son can talk to the air. This independence thing of son- is like his father. GOD heal the Post covid wounds...they are painful.
