👋 Watch this before you buy a Toyota Supra! Buying a Toyota Supra could be the best automotive decision you'll make! The Toyota Supra is a sportscar on a reasonable budget that has amazing performance and capabilities. Before you spend money on a new or used Toyota Supra here is a buyers guide to make a well informed decision on what to look out for when buying a MK5 Toyota Supra! This video is the ultimate buyers guide to a Toyota Supra MK5. What should you look for when buying a Toyota Supra? How many miles are too many for a Toyota Supra? Is it expensive to insure and maintain a MK5 Toyota Supra? Are there reliability concerns with a Supra? Let's go over all of the information I have after owning two new Supras. The Toyota Supra is very easy and cheap to maintain if you do things yourself, or if your car is still new form the dealer. The Toyota Supra is pretty reliable over all the years and the only slight issue is with 2021 cars burning some oil. Its only some of the 3.0 cars for 2021 but it's an easy thing to live with. Some minor things have popped up with Supras, but most cars are still under warranty and get fixed easily. And if something pops up it's usually small. I've never had any issues with either of my 2020 or 2023 Supras. If they are well maintained and not abused these will be very reliable. Even after abuse the Supra seems to still handle it well. On the used market the 6 cylinder Supra will go for mid $40k up to MSRP. I wouldn't spend over sticker on a Supra regardless of the spec. So these seems to hold good value. Higher mileage Supras 3.0's with 40k miles might even be on par with the price of a used low mileage 2.0. I don't see buying a 2.0 since a used low mileage 3.0 will cost the same and you get so much more performance. The automatic and manual are both fun to drive and it just depends on what you want in your car. Overall buying a new or used MK5 Supra is a safe bet. Reliable and easy to own, and such a blast of a sportscar!

  • I bought the 2020 3.0 spec’d Supra and put 115,000 miles on it in 3 years. It still runs as smooth as the day I bought it. A lot of people turned their noses up at this car when it came out, but I’ve done nothing but broke necks in traffic driving it. Toyota did a really good job with the curb appeal on this platform and it’s an absolute blast to drive.

I have never had a check engine light on. I just paid it off & don't see me selling it. I'm 48 owned a ton of Sports cars. This one has been the funniest & fastest & Most reliable! • I never understood people who hate this car being a “BMW”. Because 1) it’s not Toyota’s first time working with other brands, and all other car manufacturers does this: like Audi and Porsche 2)in-line six engine is BMW’s specialty. And BMW overall is a more premium brand than Toyota. Therefore, you are only getting better with the aids of BMW’s involvement. I’m not sure Toyota can develop a better engine themselves than B58. Maybe some so-called “JDM fans” are being ignorance about how good BMW engines are. 3) Most importantly, today’s market is driven by SUV and electric car buyers, it’s a miracle that Toyota even brought back the Supra. You have to survive in the market first to be able to talk about how “pure JDM” you are. Look at EVO, they don’t even exist anymore. Is that what the fans want? Now I can see Supra in basically every car meet, that shows how well it sells, and what a good car it is.

    @minhlu3518@minhlu35185 ай бұрын
    • C8 isnt a supercar tho. Its a great sportscar. But it's no Lamborghini or Ferrari. And the Supra with a basic tune makes more power then the C8. Supra is a great sportscar for under $60k. Also the Supra was never a supercar killer. They were low 300 HP cars. You can modify them and make 1000 HP but thats after you've spent $30k in modifications.

And thats why BMW is now in the top 10 in reliability. Toyota did just as much R&D on the Supra as BMW did. They just didn't build dit in their factory.
