  • hello comrades! this is the owner of the car. its my daily, my only car and this was my first ever passenger ride in my own car and My first time at a race track, let alone my first nurburgring lap. Misha was the first one to test drive the car properly after the engine swap was done last week in england. Drove it untuned to holland and got it tuned the day before misha drove. After the lap i did 3 laps of my own and that was enough for me. what the video does not convey is the elevation change and the g forces that ive never felt before, which i certainly feelt numerous times as i forgot to breathe plenty of times during the drive. Thank you misha for scaring the shit out of me, i could not sleep until 03:00 that night and drove 36 hours back home to Norway the day after. Core Memory unlocked! Car Specs: Alfa Romeo GTV 916 (1993-2004) 1998 model Modified Fiat Tipo 2 chassis same as the brother (Fiat Coupe) 2,540 mm wheel base. 1390kg 3.2 V6 24V engine swap from the 156 GTA Light Weight GTA flywheel Quaife LSD GTA Cams Squadra Tuning 270hp at the crank with new 7350 rpm redline BMC CDA airbox Equal Length Downpipes 1 of 1 Titanium Wizard Catback Exhaust OverRacing Titanium strut brace 30% short throw shifter 26mm alfaholics anti rollbars front and rear Steering ratio: 2.2 Turns Lock to Lock 4 Piston front Caliper from the GTA/Evo/WRX Bigger master cylinder 23.9 Braided brakelines PFC Z rated front pads (i thought it was 11 as its called 1001.11) and Yellowstuff rear. this was why the pads did not hold up. Car was standard when i bought it 5 years ago, been upgrading for the past 5 years. i drive it between 8000 - 12 000km each year. North Norway season is may until late september. Its been driven 2 seasons in the snow -20degrees c at the most. with the new body kit its too low so its now reserved only for the summer. Any Questions you might have feel free to tag me and ask in the comments.

    • @@Diac13stop with these bullshit/urban legends around Alfa. I have a GT 1.9 JTD 180hp since 2019, bought as my first car at 20 y.o (it was my childhood dream car), awesome to drive, very comfortable with luxury leather interior, Bose Audio sistem, one of the few coupé homologated for 5 people with a big connected trunk, timeless design by Bertone (most beautiful car award in 2004), it always makes you smile thanks to his great handing&incredible road holding (due to very sophisticated suspensions), so much torque and lightness. I traveled (and enjoyed) over 50.000km in all conditions with zero problems. JTD is one of the most reliable engines (Busso as well). Most of the JTD Alfas have 250k/300k km (even beyond with just regular servicing) and they're still around, with great gas mileage and lots of tuning potential, too. They literally invented Common Rail and won many Europeans Touring Car Championships with their FWD against BMW. So don’t speak from hearsay.

    • @Diac13 I don't think so, the 156 was a hit and time has proved that modern Fwd Alfas were behind them in more than one area. None of them without its flaws, bit they get under your skin like no others can..

    • @@Diac13 Have you seen the moose test between 2000s sedans? 159 shredded the other cars. Alfa always makes great handling cars with few exceptions. The steering is one of the best parts, equal if not better than a Ferrari's. You sound like someone who didn't try an Alfa Romeo in his life. I adore my 159 and my friend never recovered from selling his Alfa GT. Btw, my 159 1.9JTD 16v is inherited from my father, bought new and still going strong with 300k, as @mauromolinari99 said, they're reliable engines, I would go as far as saying that the 1.9JTD 8v is as reliable as the VAG's 1.9TDI . The only version of modern Alfas (2006 onwards) not worth buying is any with the 3.2 V6 JTS. The JTS technology is great, but it can't save a terrible and heavy GM engine...

I was at my performance garage colleagues as soon as I bought the car to have the exhaust upgraded and the note is incredible. Absolutely crucial to upgrade the diff to a strong limited-slip set-up in any Alfa V6 of the last 25 or so years and stick to the time frames with cam-belts every 6-7 years. I drive mine whenever I don't need to put the kid in the car and it brings a smile to my face every time.

As someone who lives for more than 5 years with a 156 - the JTDs are the strongest diesels out there, with many modded to way over 300 hp and some to 450… The car takes corners better than the Honda, it sounds better, unlike the Honda it doesn’t take any oil and even more unlike a brand new “sporty” type R, it doesn’t let the oil overheat from the factory. The car is nearing 300 000 kms and just had its first real fault since I’ve got it ( gear linkage failure). I’d never get a Honda over it, why would I? Not to go on the dubious styling… Urgh.

  • The bloody sound, just insane!!!! So sweet and musical. I think the clutch …maybe it has the clutch damper found in the 164QV causing it to sticking or maybe the clutch slave is bad. And the gearbox maybe the stock GTV, good for cruising but probably needs the 156 V6 gearbox.

    @155stw@155stw4 ай бұрын

    • the man who designed the busso engine was the first ever technical director for ferrari after the 2nd world war. so it has real italien roots. Colombo and Busso switched places and colombo went on to make the iconic ferrari v12s and Busso went to alfa to make the Nord Alu Twin Cam engines and the Busso V6. The engine itself does not sound very much oem. the distinct high pitch sound from my engine comes from the Equal length downpipes which merges the two banks togeather at the same time making it sound closer to a v12 then a typical v6

  • Congratulations for this targeted and personalized tuning of this 1990s Alfa Romeo, powered by the enhanced V6 3.2 24 valves. Furthermore, looking at the video, I give other compliments to the guy who drives the car at the Nürburgring. He uses the pedals with a lot of practice and simplicity, especially when performing the toe maneuver heel while driving. He drives decisively, carefully and very cleanly on the track, especially in high-speed corners and in overtaking carried out near bends and in the presence of other cars. The thing I would like to know would be to know the changes made to the car, such as the set-up, and the upgrades made to the engine, like the type of supercharging adopted and everything else. Thank you
