I dont know. If not for catching the diamond on the river he probably about breaks even or loses. No doubt Ethan would have went all in with or without hitting the flush. And catching a flush on the flop while opponent catches 2 pair aces and fives.. well I think luckbox sums up this session. When he's not the luckbox is when all hell seems to break loose.

His 66699 full house was a good bet, perhaps, but it could have easily been -EV with almost all losing hands folding and winning hands calling, and any 9 was crushing him. Perhaps his image got him paid. Getting paid with a flush, especially on a paired board, is nice, but he is a spew-fish who blinked a river, and that is what happens when you are a spew-fish who binks. That is the reward for constantly punting, because 75% of the time, he is bluffing off his stack there. The caller got unlucky. He was doing really well in terms of getting max value.

Golf wise - set up and takeaway is actually pretty solid just make sure you shift your weight to the front foot as you’re transitioning into impact instead of falling back and you’re well on your way!

Not a bad golf swing EXCEPT you are falling back on your back foot (notice how you step backwards), your body should be moving forward IF you are going to make a mistake, or the goal is resting over your front foot. On follow through, try pointing either the tip of your club OR your handle (so the tip is pointing back now) at your target and make sure your entire body is now resting directly atop the forward foot. 97 isnt bad for a beginner

Golf Tip: get Ben Hogan's book -- Modern Fundamentals of Golf, get a crappy club at any second hand store, regrip with a suitable grip, then cut it off just below the grip. Take that when you play poker and practice gripping the club. Good Luck on the RtM!

I played golf at a small university in Oklahoma and your balance on your swing is off. It's what I noticed immediately. When you twist your hips in the backswing, that gives you the power, then you untwist your hips first as you start your downswing. Then you need to end with your follow through a bit higher, and about 80% - 90% of your weight on your left foot. Just something to try. It was one swing and about 3 seconds of video. If you really want to get better, practice putting 3x more than hitting your driver and irons on the driving range and practice your short game 2x the time you spend on the driving range with woods and irons.

The reason you're losing so much money is because you're getting side-tracked by all the voyages and side-attractions. Gambling and poker are about staying hungry and aggressive. You've let this lifestyle cost you a lot of money because you're no longer picking your spots wisely. If you're relying on getting staked, something's wrong. With the winnings you had early in your career, you should be able to finance yourself at this point. You need to hire somebody to manage your bankroll.

KdQd might be a check on the turn. I’d probably prefer to barrel off with flush draws that don’t have showdown value. But it worked out great. 😁 Also, I think TT is a check on the turn. There aren’t a whole lot of worse hands, if any, that call. It’s probably better to just check back and deal with a decision on the river if it comes to that.

I realize he could recognize hands that beat him but still not think the other person has one of those hands. To me, it's the perspective. You hear some poker players say, "It will be rare if they have one of these hands better than me, and if so, okay, that's poker." but he think, "No way would they be aggressive pre-flop, post-flop, and then hit the brakes with a second Q if they had AA or KK" He doesn't even seem to comprehend that AA or KK was possible, at least it didn't make it into the video. The most famous players like Negreanu sniff that stuff out.
