Celebrating the 30th anniversary of commencement offshore operations in the North Caspian Sea, the Makat District Department of Culture, Language Development, Physical Education and Sports in collaboration with NCOC proudly presented the spectacular Kashagan Judo Cup 2023. Bringing together a formidable group of 60 athletes and coaches from 7 districts of Atyrau, this open-air tournament showcased the finest in judo prowess.
Young athletes under 23 years old contended across weight classes, ranging from 66 kg to 100 kg, exhibiting their skill and dedication. The competition was fierce, with every team demonstrating the spirit of sportsmanship and determination.
The podium glittered as the best emerged, securing their places in the Kashagan Judo Cup 2023. Team of the Makat district was the winner, while the teams of Atyrau city and Isatay district won the second and third places respectively. Moreover, the performance of judokas from Zhylyoi district did not go unnoticed and the team was awarded the nomination "for the will to win".
