People understand what you saying but at no point did AB land more than 5-7 clean nice shots a round even. Santiago cuts easy so his damage looked worse. He had way more output. AB had a couple good checks and jabs but that’s about it. Santiago was working em with body shots more than any output from AB.

  • from 28 to 33 is a boxers prime and for heavy weights it's 32 to 36. Problem is in AB's case is all that eating, drinking, smoking, late night partying is really starting to take it's toll on his physical abilities. Also there's the simple reality that AB was never really as good as we all thought he was during his peak in 2012-2013 before that maidana beat down took place. if you go back to early in AB career and see each division he campaigned at and won a title in, some of the divisions were baron of competition such as light weight due to the top guys having moved up around the time he got their and at jr light weight, he fought for the WBO title against an absolute unknown guy who had no business challenging for a title. reality is AB plateaued very early in his career and as he stepped up in competition, fights became more difficult for him and in some cases lost them. amazing how well mayweather and pacman aged all through their 30's due to staying dedicated.

  • Some people dont understand boxing. Let me say, 2 years away from the ring, from fighting the best boxers in the world you going to have ring rust, your rhythm will take some time to come back to the level it once was. He had to loose weight because Broner blew up he got fat. He had to condition himself and still get his mind back to boxing. 2 years out the ring and these stupid people think he is going to just be the best boxer and just knock these elite fighters out. You all are crazy and living in fantasy world. He needs more time to put his skills back together to be elite again as he once was. Now that will depend on how hungry and serious he is plus if his age hasn't caught up to him fighting all those gruesome battles we know he has fought

He won the fight and got some rounds under his belt that’s all that matters next fight I’m sure there will be improvements. Of course for me I’d want 🆎 to be more active throw more etc and it frustrates me as well when he doesn’t but I don’t want to fall into the group of fans that comment “ maidana” on every post of his or downplay him. Broner is talented if he did the things we say he should do he’d be in the mix maybe at welterweight or 140 you can’t deny he’s got talent it’s just his discipline like you said and the things I mentioned .

    • @@demetrius9756 Part of the game is critiquing fighters. Broner has clearly ruined everything Mayweather set up for him. He was supposed to be the next big thing but his immaturity ruined whatever potential he had. Instead of fighting on PPV against the best, he is fighting no-names, catchweights and being forced to move up to 147 because of lack of discipline outside of the ring.

I think it was a good performance took him a while to get warmed up but when he let his hands go we can see what he can do. It was a good test and he came through it. Now he needs to fight again and then get a name like progais, redkach wants to fight broner as well. But one thing you can’t say Broner is that he ducked boxers

    • @@demetrius9756 Pre-Maidana, Broner was willing to let his hands go. Post-Maidana he became unwilling to take any risks. Struggling against Granados, Porter, Pacquiao, Garcia, Vargas, Molina Jr., imo I thought he should have won all of those fights convincingly. I can't see his layoff as an excuse, boxing is not a game, it is life and death, be prepared every time you lace up the gloves. Sugar Ray Leonard came off a 3 year layoff and won against Hagler. No excuses.
