Bmw 635d after dpf removal - a cold morning start and the smoke everybody ask about

So now you can see for yourself how much of a smoke there is, can not say is none at all, there is a bit. But to be fair my other diesel the ford custom van is just 2 years old and has a dpf and it stinks just the same. But you do not get that white puff for 2 seconds.
After 1 min of idle there is no more white puff at all.
Reving was done up to 1500 rpm will never rev more than that on a cold engine.
To be honest all diesels stink, i wish i had a hydrogen one or electric if i could. But i would give this any day for a 3 motor 1000 hp tesla if any of you guys who wanna save the planet would help me out with some money.

    • BMW's straight six engines, diesel or petrol fuelled, are still amongst the best in the world. Their four cylinder models are very very decent as well. Though I am unsure why one would remove a DPF.

    • @@paulanderson7796 DPF restricts your vehicle performance if you don't hit the motorway now and then to clear the soot level that is built up in short journey's you do, with new diesel they use adblue liquid that that's also need to checked and filled up every 5 tanks of diesel one full tank of adblue liquid which put alot of pressure on your EGR VALVE due to heating up to burn ❤️‍🔥 the soot level or use adblue liquid to wash the processed soot out of your exhaust. Remove all this and your vehicle will breath better and go fast no EGR valve and no dpf I don't have diesel anymore but diesel was better without all these complications parts.

    • @@dgl7347 My first DPF car was a 2.2 litre Peugeot 406 HDi. Year model 2000. If have no issues with DPFs. AdBlue has nothing to do with DPF systems. It's used to reduce nox emissions by means of a process called selective catalytic reduction. You have no idea what you're talking about.

    • good for you ! now don't be so happy and excited because there is a problem: 1 change your oil with good oil every 5000 miles 2 warm up car by driving gently 5-10 min before you step on it. ( that's 30 sec idle than first 10 min drive gently ) 3 service gear box too and drop the pan no stupid machines to suck oil out 4 after you drove it proper drive the last 2-3 miles very gently allow for engine to cool down a bit and go below 1500 rpm for turbo to cool down. 5 as a general rule avoid brutal accelerations, try progressively , no abuse and will last much longer. Not saying is not ok to rev to 4000 and push it, by all means do so but only when warm and try a acceleration that is not to the maximum more like of 70% to be a bit on the gentle side. Cut load of stress on the parts. Is a small engine this is no M performance, is meant to be driven not raced.

    • they are pretty good cars, but i really dislike the turbo lag. How ever i like a lot when i drive Lancaster - London and back and by the time i am back i still have 1/4 in the tank . That i really like. In those moments I think i rather wait 1 second for the lag than pay 2 tanks of gas on the same trip.

      @sisapisamata@sisapisamata Жыл бұрын
    • @@sisapisamata i think you will use about 7-8 liters for 100 km. like 10 if you go very sporty. Dpf and stage one will reduce fuel consumption a bit , no miracles. This is a very economic car for the 3 litre engine with 0-100 km/h in 5 seconds. Not many in this class and at this budget.

    • All diesels do the same. If they have dpf on you just do not see it. Is until combustion chamber heat up after a few explosions. Is no harm to the car. That was a cold start. I do not do cold starts as I have a heat pad on the oil pan at 240v. I plug the car in a timer and that starts the heating at 4 in the morning or when ever i want. So when I wake up and make my coffee and go look at the sky outside I just unplug it. There is not much need to wait to heat up as the oil has 40 degrees celsius and starts very easy. In 4 hours of run most of the engine is warm to the touch. So i just idle 30 seconds and away. Bit gentle the 4 miles to highway than i drive it normal . There is no need to be this crazy 🫣 , i am ocd. I like perfection. What i do is way way overkill. But I can tell you one thing. I been driving 25 years and i never had a brake-down to be calling in the truck to take me home. I got over 1 mil miles of driving . I like my cars to be impeccable, as pretty much most of my stuff. ( except the wife, thats quite noisy sometimes 🤣 )

    • @@bmwe657er Is just a sticky pad that become hot when powered up. Is plenty of them to buy under name oil pan pad heater on ebay. It makes the oil be at about 30 deg instead of -10 whats outside in the winter so it flow a lot faster and lubricates. Do test put oil in the freezer and oil in the room temp and flow trough a funnel after a night and you will see for yourself . Only the oils from series 0w are so fluid after freezing the rest are not really. The 10w is actually thick as fuck. The 5w30 is acceptable. But is a huge difference on the engine it starts so much easy . They do this for plane engines with heating on cold winters. Is a bit over kill so is only if you really love your car.

    • @@bmwe657er not have power source , well you can make one . Can use your old batteries and a solar panel with inverter to make a bit of light in there and a gsm module relay to power on and off an used oil burning stove . You have free oil oil from changes and can also be found in every garage shop for free . I have one in garage in Ro to save electric cost. Is a modified diesel burner with bigger size injector and pressure is made by just gravity. I start it from my phone app . Can also use wifi module if u in range .
