Helldivers 2 // With Autocannon, You Can - Lvl 9 Terminid Solo Helldive - All Clear, No Deaths
Solo Helldive, Max Difficulty Lvl 9, all objectives (Main + Optional) completed, all nests destroyed, 0 deaths.
Modifiers: lowered stamina, obscured radar, orbital scatter increased
Boy oh boy that evacuation objective was a mission in itself...
I hesitate to call this one a stealth run, even if there was some creeping around. Stealth for bugs is more about: kill everything before it can sound an alarm, with judicious use of air strikes and then moving in to mop up. There's a lot more enemy types that can sound the alarm - Scouts, Hunters, Hive Guards and Brood Commanders can all set off bug breaches, which can make it tough to keep things clean. If an alarm goes off though, the same principles of breaking Line Of Sight and bouncing between objectives works well - even in a desert you can find cover in sand dunes and rocky outcrops.
Atmospheric Spores probably wasn't the best pick for stealthing either, as it means you can no longer rely on the radar for spotting patrols or outposts - was able to find everything though!
That one civilian was a traitor btw, he told me he has a pet beetle.

Build:
The Autocannon is an amazing all-purpose weapon. Its large mag, good damage and firerate means it's better at clearing groups quickly than the ol' Railgun, and it's also able to take out bug holes with one shot - all crucial for Solo All Clear runs. Its explosive damage means that along with the grenade launcher, it's the fastest at taking out groups of Bile Spewers, as they get huge bonuses to ass shots - exploding them does splash damage to the other Bile Spewers nearby, making chain kills very common.
Charger kills aren't quite as convenient, as you'll have to matador them then shoot them in the back leg or ass, but still pretty quick - with perfect aim a few shots will suffice. Bile Titans will be down to Stratagems, hence the 500kg and the Railcannon - if those don't finish them off, a volley from the Autocannon will. The odd unexploded Hellbomb lying around will do the job too...
Eagle Airstrike rounds out the stratagems, as one of the best all-purpose strikes. Big horde? Consider them squished. Heavy armour? No problem. The AoE pattern means it's also great for taking out multiple bug holes at once, making it the best for alpha striking nests.
For my primaries and secondaries, I'm going with the good old Breaker & Redeemer anti-bug combo - particularly in solo, you need something with the damage per shot and firerate to take out groups of scouts quickly, as well as put down a Brood Commander in a pinch, and the Breaker fits the bill. The Slugger would do well too, doing better against the armoured enemies but being a little slower at taking out a group of lighter enemies due to its firerate.
For grenades, I went with the Impact grenades - while they come with the risk of exploding in your face as a scout flies towards you, they are exceptional at quickly taking out armoured enemies and particularly Bile Spewers.
My booster was the Stamina one, to counter the penalty from the desert heat.

PS: yet another radar already in the correct position, and I think I know why - if you restart the mission by closing the game, it somehow remembers the last radar position. Saves me a little time, but if y'all feel like this is cheating and these runs ain't hard enough, I can just do fresh runs everytime!
Can you give me some tips for using stealth and how alerting enemies works? Somehow i always end up with airdrops
Hmm a lot to cover but here's a few pointers: - Use an armour with reduced enemy detection range - Pick a night mission and/or a map with lowered visibility due to rain, fog etc. - When you're stealthing around enemies, maintain low profile i.e. crouching or crawling. Be very wary of standing up, sometime you can accidentally drop from a small rock which forces you into stand, that little movement can blow your cover, like at 14:22. - Don't panic and immediately go loud when you hear the enemy react to your presence - when you see bots light up red or hunters splay their wings, that can just mean that they're suspicious or heard something, it doesn't mean you've been made. Maintain low profile and move to cover / away as smooth as you can. - You can take out small patrols, but make sure you can kill any potential alerters in a few seconds. Prioritise the guys who can actually sound an alarm, the bigger guys might be dangerous but at least they can't call for help. - Before you initiate an engagement, always plan an exit strategy, especially if you know it's going to get loud - know which direction you're going to run if things go south. - Keep an eye on your radar - unless you're doing a mission with the obscured radar modifier, it will show you all the enemy units around you. If you see patrols approaching that are too big to take out quickly, find somewhere to hide. - Even if your cover is blown, don't panic. Get out of the area, preferably retreating to an area you've already cleared or know is quiet. Outpace all the slow enemies, take out any that have kept up, break line of sight and they will disengage. Come back when it's quiet. - Be wary of calling supply drops near to enemies as they will draw enemies to investigate - alternatively use this to pull enemies away from their posts.

@@newspiked7385 I doubt it's that, but once Mao received a big shipment of mangoes as a gift from Pakistan. He couldn't eat them all, so he spread them amongst factory workers. It was around the time of the cultural revolution so it got swept up in the war of narratives. But the short version is that critics called it the mango cult, as some people ended up saving the mangoes not as food but as a memorable gift. Same! I just wish I knew the logic of his movement across the map, sometimes it seemed he was dancing around the main objective and I wasn't sure if he's clearing the bulk of the bugs that would come rushing when he touches the terminal or if he's following some other logic.
@@glacialimpalaI jump from one objective to another when a patrol is about to pass through one point. Rather than fight the patrol and risk a bug breach, I can save more time by just letting the patrol go and starting another objective. As for clearing the perimeter for the evac objective, that was just precautionary, I didn't want to be forced out of the base while doing the objective and then run into one of those perimeter groups while kiting, risking yet another alert.
So what I understand, patrol alerting = bug breach? @@newspiked7385

I’m a simple man, I see auto cannon, I like the video
oh the autocaonnon man can
I swear when i play this even at level 7 with other people we get swarmed. Watching you play seems so much more do-able. Great work!
The main issue is that running back and forth between objectives doing one step at a time is often not the most enjoyable experience. Fighting breach loops keeps the adrenaline high and is a lot more fun for most people, so you end up in a situation where most groups are (understandably) doing the fun thing and not doing the objectively smart thing which is how you end up getting swarmed by 15 charges, 4 bile titans, and dozens of everything else. Also getting 3+ dude Hell Bombs that are all conveniently placed to kill bile titans is pretty helpful.
@@kilikx1xyou can run objectives and still get that "adrenaline high" becauase theres always big breaches on objectives. The problem is with randoms, they spread out too much and those lone bugs start calling for breaches. Now all 4 players caused a breach and seperated which makes the game less efficient, unlike this dude here who has all this enemies JUST on him so he can control the flow of the game more.
@@pingus9934 I dont think this is true. Its not an attack but in my experience as the guy who runs off solo I havent seen this happen. what I have notice is if there is a bug breach across the map because part of the team has made "too much noise" I have many many instances where I have been slow to kill off a group that should have breached and didnt. I dont think there can be multiple active breaches at the same time. I think this will take more science to figure out but its possible.
@@StrifeA217I'm pretty sure there's a minimum time that has to elapse between breaches. If I get a breach, I know I can take out the enemies at the next objective or an intrusive patrol without getting one.
The absolute worst teams are the ones who shoot at all the patrols and allow the bug breaches to happen. I'll separate at that point because there can only be 1 breach on the map at a time. You can quietly carry with your silly teams fighting the world for no reason. The breaches also attract near by patrols so the best thing to do is break their vision of you.
After you naded the spitter in the face, that mid air switch to the redeemer was impressive! another great video. I love how the nukes were positioned in actually useful spots on the map for you XD. My favourite kit for terminids right now is guard dog rover (the lazer is really accurate and can target hive defender weak spots) with arc thrower/flamethrower/railgun (whatever i'm feeling). The guard dog rover makes it ten times easier to take out patrols and smaller nests without triggering annoying ass bug breaches. Takes some practice to get consistent at, but worth it. Trick is to avoid the bigger enemies or as you did in the video with the chargers, just use a railcannon strike.
I need to thank whoever's leaving all these nukes around! Yeah, the rover is amazing, almost doubles my killcount I reckon. Think it's better than the shield in many ways, at least for bugs.
never realized you could blow up bug holes with the autocannon, nice video!
Great run! Autocannon is my favourite support weapon. I always use it on robot missions. But I will probably never be able to be as good with it as you are so I can run solo helldive difficulty with it. I mean you quickly killed a charger with it. You finished off a bile titan after a rail cannon strike with it. A lot of skill is shown here 👍

You're too kind! And nah I die many, many times trying to get these runs, I'm still learning from others like everyone else!
Subbed. Fun and powerful character
Gotta look at the auto cannon again. Since the Railgun nerf, I've been using the laser. Great vid, thanks for sharing.
That was seriously impressive dude!
I wish the breach calls took a little longer. I’ve only ever stopped one, and it wasn’t intentional. With the bots you can actually react to the flares before they’re fired, but with the bugs they just decide that you need to deal with more enemies now and, unless you have godlike reflexes and aim, you’re not interrupting it. I also had an idea for a strategem which would basically be reskinned poison gas but instead of dealing damage it prevents enemy communication (so if one finds you it can’t tell the rest) and blocks backup calls. Idk just a thought.
Yeah it's really annoying isn't it. Sometimes the orange smoke hasn't even finished spewing and the bugs are already crawling out from the ground like wtf 😂
Definitely a lot more targets to take down to stop a bug breach. Think I might try bringing a cluster strike next time, bit more spammable and with the armour pen to take down hiveguards and brood commander too. I've had a headless brood commander alert btw, lol. EMS strike might do what you're thinking of actually, I believe the stun not only stops them from moving but alerting too.
@@newspiked7385 Yeah, but EMS slows me down too, and because of the halting factor it’s typically better to use when you’re already in a fight and need some space rather than prepping for an ambush. I guess to balance it with EMS you could make the effect last longer or have a bigger radius idk.
ah an autocannon enjoyer love to see it man!

So many big brain plays in there.
Not gonna lie, that part at 37:12 where you were juggling multiple chargers with spewers had me thinking ain't no way you didn't die. Great game!
I mean, was I juggling them or were they juggling me? :P Definitely the sweatiest moment of the game, that bait into the rock then eagle airstrike felt so good.
ok I understood more things in 5 minutes than in my entire experience to reech the level 20, ty goaty
Well done Diver! My god I’m proud of you!
Amazing work man. I find stealth is far easier with the automatons.
Definitely, smaller groups and fewer enemy types that can alert, bases have nice big walls to hide behind too.
I like how literally everyone is complaining about having no way to deal with chargers anymore after the railgun nerf, and then you do a solo helldive in which you completely disintegrate multiple chargers in 3.2 seconds flat with the autocannon
Yep its a good weapon to deal with them...its just to bad to have nerfed an other tool to pick that all
Because it takes skill. The most vocal whiners are the people who can’t do the week 1 cheeses anymore and think the game is ruined because they actually have to learn how to use different guns and not the one 400 streamers said was the meta.
@@DL-cs2cj yeah they're trying to play a game, that is fundamentally a coop game, solo and expecting the harder difficulties to be possible

So impressive man , I’m a fan 😮
its refreshing to see someone not using the shield and railgun combo. any tips for using the auto cannon? especially agianst the titans?
I wouldn't call myself an autocannon expert, but here's a few basic tips: If possible, reload before you're completely empty - the reload is much faster with one round still chambered. For chargers, either a couple of shots to the back legs or a few shots to the ass will kill them quick, so get used to matadoring. For bile spewers, go ham on their ass again, the explosive dmg hits them harder. For Titans, you can blow the sacks easily but to actually kill I've only found it reliable at finishing off a Titan that's already had its armour exposed with a stratagem. Shouldn't be an issue if you always bring 1 or 2 strats that can strip it, like the railcannon strike, eagle pods, or just 500 kg.
How did you throw the SEAF artillery shell at 9:08?
When the shell is slightly behind you, and you press to grab the shell, it accelerates into your hands. If you press to drop the shell while it's accelerating i.e. before it reaches your hands, it will keep that momentum and end up being thrown forwards
This video shows exactly why this game is awesome. It takes skill, strategy and tactics to overcome highest difficulty missions
This combo wombo is goated I swear, most versatile with the railcannon and orb laser, such sick gameplay!1
Thanks for trying out the autocannon and fulfilling my request for a terminid run! Glad to see we see the same issues and benefits from the autocannon. Surprised though, no rocket pods this time around?
Thanks for the suggestion! It's a lot of people's favourite and I can see why. And yeah, no rocket pods as they don't lock onto the bug nests, and while they can take out chargers, it tends to miss when they're, well, charging. For bugs I prefer the reliability of the railcannon strike, and the 500kg for titans and any research station objectives.
THE CLUTCH!
Seconds to spare, gotta make that ending dramatic y'know
I really like the stealth approach to missions when playing solo, i have no idea if it's even effective or not, but I'm the type of player that does things for pure entertainment, so playing with stealth fulfills some sort of fantasy of being a tactical spec ops commando.
