British Footballers try Korean Chicken and Beer for the first time!
Last year we introduced Korean BBQ to this British football team, and this year, with the help of Gabie and our favourite chicken shop in the UK, we brought them my favourite food to have after a good game of footie: Korean Fried Chicken!

Gotta make an amendment there. I love the high schoolers and footballers too, but the taxi drivers have to be up there as well. They were super funny and adorable, especially with the barbecue.

ikr? Same with korean barbeque....you eat so much meat it might cause constipation, but when you wrap it in lettuce/perilla leaves/greens along with kimchi and other seasoned vegetables, it helps with the meat digestion, and the 'ssam' tasting great is a huge bonus too...

Stampy, as someone who also has a peanut allergy, there's yangyeom chicken that exists without the crushed peanuts. You should def do a redo, Stampy to experience the great flavours of yangyeom that won't make you reach for the epipen lol

솔직히 영국남자가 영국에 한국음식과 문화를 홍보한다기 보단 한국인들에게 영국인들의 유쾌함과 젠틀함을 홍보하는 힘이 더 큰 것 같아요. 영국남자를 보기 전까지 영국인들에 대한 이미지가 따분하거나 과격하거나(축구문화?) 너무 딱딱하다는 느낌(개인적인)이었는데 막상 이런 리액션들 보면 참 바르고 예의있는 영국인들의 모습에 놀라곤 합니다.

확실히 볼때마다 느끼는거지만 영국남자가 재밌는 이유는... 물론 한국문화를 영국(혹은 유럽) 사람들에게 보여주는 점이 재밌는것도 있지만 한국인으로서 가장 재밌다고 생각하는 부분은 확실히 한국인이랑은 다른 반응,제스쳐,표현법들이 재밌는거 같아요... 좀 더 말하자면 확실히 동양과 서양의 표현방식이 확실히 다른데 그게 굉장히 독특하고 재밌는거 같아서 좋아요 ㅋ 역시 영국남자 굿굿!!!

In Singapore and the immediate surrounding countries, pairing food with alcohol is generally not done because it’s taboo to a lot of people. On top of that, if a local Korean-style Chicken Shop goes for halal status they’re definitely not going for the chimaek combo. That’s not going to stop me from trying to find a Korean-style chicken shop and get some local beer though, just bring it all home and no one will know 👀

I love cooking and feeding people. Also love taking people to new places to try amazing food. I haven't been able to do that in a really long time. I know how mind blowing good Korean food is. Love the KFC. Seeing people trying it for the first time and loving it makes me so happy. So therapeutic 💞🌻🙏🏾 thank you!
I have to say, it really is a joy watching so many people try food that is brand new to them and finding it to be a revelation. People wonder why foodies exist. Maybe it's because we love the fact the world has so many diverse flavors, all of them extremely enjoyable in their own way, even as they are totally different. Like take Korean and Ethiopian. Very different flavors, but both can be quite spicy and thoroughly lovely. I really enjoy introducing my friends to new types of food I know that they don't. I have won quite a few converts (like my neighbor is much more into being inventive with his menu now whereas before he just tended to eat Mexican and steak. He absolutely loves curry and Indian food now, had never had it before I took him to get some.)

영국남자는 국뽕과 유럽이란 분위기를 적절하게 잘 조화 시켜서 좋다. 어떻게 보면 머리가 좋은 것이고. 또 어떻게 보면 가장 잘할 수 있는 자리를 영리하게 선점하는 미드필더 같다
근데 사실 국뽕이 그리 심한편도 아닌게 반응이 다들 싱당히 객관적이라 별로면 별로라고 확실히 말을 해줘서 그래서 좀 더 편하게 볼 수있는거 같아요

늘 재밌는 컨텐츠 전해줘서 고마워요! 치킨과 맥주 조합 너무 당연하게 생각해서 다른 나라들도 많이 먹는 줄 알았었는데, 아니었군요. 치맥은 정말 행복인데~^^ 치킨이랑 무를 같이 먹는 이유가 무가 소화를 돕기 때문에 튀김과 궁합이 좋긴 때문인것 같아요. 물론 맛도 넘 잘 어울리죠. 치킨 한 마리에 무 한 팩은 늘 부족^^

영국인들은 전부 문학작가들 같아..표현이 참 다양하고 풍부해서 깜짝깜짝 놀란다..축구 좋아하고 훌리건들 유명하고 해서 입에 f 자 들어가는 쌍욕 달고 사는 사람들인줄 알았는데,모든 사람들이 표현을 참 흥미롭고 유쾌하게 적확한 단어를 써서 표현한다..셰익스피어의 나라란게 이런거구나 라고 감탄을 할때가 많음
한국에도 그런 표현이 엄청 많음. 80년대 까지 문어체나 구어체나 비슷하게 썼기 때문임. 그런데 90년대 오렌지 세대부터 틀딱취급 하다가 00년대에는 오글거린다는 취급 받고 10년대 들어서는 국민 평균 독해력이 개박살 나면서 망함. 예전처럼 시집이 베스트 셀러가 되는걸 내가 죽기전에 볼 수 있으면 좋겠음.

어떤음식이든 바로조리된 음식이 맛있지만 특히 한국치킨은 바로 튀겨나와 육즙을 머금은 치킨을 드셔보시면 천상의 맛을 보시는게 아닐까 생각이드네요

솔직히 한국치킨은...말이 필요없죠~ 호주에 살고 있는 난 한국의 치킨이 얼마나 먹고싶은지...물론, 호주에도 한국 치킨이 있지만, 한국 본토의 다양함은 넘사벽 이네요~
I felt so bad for Stampy (Marcus), but the half-joke about the epipen after knowing people who do eat and then epi after made me giggle. Definitely feed them again, but ask about food allergens first (and if they're the type to eat regardless and epi after haha). Note: Some of the eat&epi people mentioned before also just sip benadryl liquid after for minor allergens, it's not recommended but have seen it (mainly with herb, flour/bread, and certain processed nuts like liquids). Children's benadryl is half-strength requiring double dose for adults, and no driving after. Warned, and recommended against (know your body), but the option is there incase.

Yeah, as a fellow nut allergy I was worried for him. The plain chicken was sitting right next to the peanuts and possibly touching so there was a chance he would react. For me, benadryl (pill, adult form) is my go to for reactions. Though last time I had a reaction I still ended up nauseas (and on the verge of vomiting) despite taking the full dose. Never had to use my epipen so far though.
