The DMX verse was taken from an unreleased Gospel album called "Walk with me now and You'll fly with me later". One part is from an unreleased song called "Let Me Be Your Angel ft. Janyce". Also some borrowed words from the song "Didn't Go Nowhere ft. Janyce". Both recorded around 2008 if I remember correctly. In case anyone is wondering. Great to see these finally being used somewhere official. Love Joyners work!

I came back to this song after hearing some X earlier. That last low growl from X man, really gets me teared up. Regardless of the shit he went through and did, his music touched a lot of peoples’ souls and he’ll always be appreciated. He fought more demons than most of us ever even have to consider. In the end, he genuinely tried to redeem himself and I can only hope he is in a better place. RIP legend.
