At nhra events your ticket is your pit pass. I don't even know how many thousands of horsepower each motor makes now in top fuel. You get to stand next to two of them staging and blasting off. This is entertaining but I have never seen a race where more guys blow apart engines and or sound like they are bouncing off the limiters. Looks like way more money than talent. Imo.

@@jakharkartik1152 yeah we don't have dunes as big as ones in liwa but we do have places like Lancelin in western Australia has some big sand dunes overlooking the ocean

Thank you so much for these videos! Years ago I used to google Arabic words I didn't know and look at facebook pages I couldn't understand to find footage of these races. My wife googled "Liwa hill climb" as I was explaining what we were watching, only your videos came up. It's really funny to think of something being hard to find in 2022, but your videos and accompanying explanations are a rare treat!

They have no traction. They rely on reaction forces to drive them forward.
This is not traction, it is thrust.
Yeah thrust the rods threw the oil pan cause you need to shift gears

I watch the Liwa coverage every year. Love the sound of those Nissan 6-cylinders. And those paddle tire Hilux's are nuts. Once our Dimocrats get around to outlawing the internal combustion engine, I might just move to the UAE.

the amount of power they put through these engines/drivetrain is insane.
Lots of spinning keeps loads down.. harder on parts to launch a car with sticky slicks and thousands of horsepower than these. The car in my photo made over 4k h.p. and we ran top fuel slicks. 440 Donovan 100% nitro and overdriven on the blower. These sand hill trucks are like fun toys comparatively (Fire suppression systems cost less than the fire does). Are they now just getting into blowers and nitromethane? Or are blowers not allowed? This is a blowers type of race. From a sand enthusiast with more paddle tires in my possession than most reading this.

@@epicmemechannel 1-3 thousand I would guess. The blown nitro guys skies the limit really. Hard to make anything less than big numbers with those set ups.

They should try to install taller tires on the front end,and fenders to direct sand on the sides so it doesn't fill up the rear tires threads. They would improve pulling power ,manoeuvrability and rear end traction.
