Re: two sons story, i am the "other son, so to speak. I chose a different path. God was my tower.
This is rhe story of my life. At 65 years old, a disabled veteran and having multiple physical ailments that at times floor me and even stop me for a day - that is slow me down. I don't give up and the difference between me and them is that when they wake up full of pain and stiffness they go back to bed. Not me..... I push forward, I look for a way out and that way out of the state of hopelessness is to get moving. Do something. And they think I'm crazy, they think I'm foolish. But maybe they're just jealous. Yes that's it. They don't understand what drives me. And what drives me is to make the best of every day of the possible 12 years of life I might have left according to statistics. I embrace the pain even though I hate it and it's overwhelming at times. But I get moving. I get out of bed. I get moving and take the pain with me. And to the best of my abilities, not my disabilities- I DO WHAT IS REQUIRED! Johnny Boy

I have been in a negative mindspace for the majority of my life. In recent years, I spent a good amount changing the things I didn't like in my life and for that I have a better life. But my negative mindset has stayed even with all this happiness surrounding me bc of my own efforts. The best thing I have found in shifting that this past month is coming back and listening to you, Eddie. Slowly, I hear my old self again. Like you have talked about before, I hear my inner child and she is happy. As an adult, I have reached the success (in my eyes) that I have wanted. Now it's time to let my mindset shift and match everything else. Thank you for these positive talks. I see these as guidelines on how to rebuild my self confidence. I did all these hard things. I can let go and enjoy. Keep spreading the positive. Change can happen to anyone ❤️❤️

Fantastic messages. If there is only one thing I would suggest it would be to lower the music volume. The content is amazing however the music is competing with it. It makes it hard to focus. I suppose I could add that I have a rare nervous system disorder which makes it all the more challenging. I am soon to be seventy. Never too old to learn & grow. In grateful appreciation. Liliane

This is not an indictment on Eddie. No, Eddie’s a good man, doing good work. No, the question is, is anybody listening? Not listening to Eddie, but listening to themselves? I, I, I, … Me, Me, Me. Do you notice it in these comment threads? I know you read your own. That’s the point. Yes, I am guilty of this and have recognized it and am in the process of squashing it. You should try it sometime, it’s liberating, not trying to enthrone yourself as the center of attention. Do you ever read these threads? Nobody gives a crap about you, it’s all about them, even the ones who try to give you encouragement “Keep fighting” “God has your back”, yeah right, they like to say those things because it makes themselves feel better. It’s not for you, if you were bleeding out in the street they’d step right over you. No, it’s all for them. Anybody who says otherwise is full of it. Go ahead, I dare you, try to consistently post comments without using the words I or me. Try to add to the conversation without you being the center of it. And stop glorifying these people, the youtubers, as the greatest thing since sliced bread. They are not gods, they are not kings, they are not your savior. They are just people, no different, smarter or better than you or I. Some of them are outright criminals who should be arrested, but I digress. Again, this is not an indictment on Eddie or that musician you just watched. No, it’s an indictment on you. You see, when you put another human on a pedestal above you, you push yourself down, into the crap. And when you put yourself on a pedestal above everyone else it’s only a matter of time before you crumble to the ground under the weight of your own arrogance. You wanna fix yourself? Then park your ego in the back of the garage, get off your ass and start gettin shit done. It’s not that difficult. If there’s something you wanna do, just do it. Any excuse you can conjure up is a cop out and renders your opinion on anything irrelevant. There are people who have had it way worse than you who have overcome it and gone on to do great things. This generation likes to think of itself as “enlightened” and “progressive”. On the contrary, it is regressive and dark, empty suits void of any original thought, incapable of developing the ability to even come up with one. But, not to worry, because of you idiots we’re all about to get slammed by reality. Thanks, thanks a lot.
