In this video I put flies in the vacuum chamber to see if they can fly in a low pressure environment. I also show you how I got the flies in the vacuum chamber by lowering their metabolism so that they don't move at all by putting them in the freezer. Then once in the closed chamber they warm up and come back to life. The less air there is in the vacuum chamber the higher wing speed they need to generate lift. Eventually you get to low enough pressure that the flies cannot lift off the ground! Then I talk about how we could lift off the ground if our atmosphere was as thick as Saturn's moon Titan.

It wasn't a complete vacuum. It was 0.1 atmosphere.
Most insects can survive without air for a little while. They don't have lungs so they can't hold their breath but the rate they use oxygen is low enough that a minute or two in almost total vacuum won't hurt them.

I’m a plumber/Hvac tech. One day my phone fell into a toilet. I made a vacuum chamber and hooked up my hvac vacuum pump to it. I brought it down to 200 microns which boiled off all of the water. Phone worked great after.

Rockets and engines in space behave according to Isaac Newton's third law of motion: Every action produces an equal and opposite reaction. When a rocket shoots fuel out one end, this propels the rocket forward - no air is required. in case of a fly, it pushes the air. the force it experience, is bcoz it pushes the air backwards.. but in rockets, the air is not pushed back wards.. the propellant is given out.. so, the propellant apply a force on the rocket.. hence, the rocket move forward. if it's not clear, reply to this comment.. i would love to share the knowledge. this is why i hate religion. it push people into darkness...

Try to modify ur Vacuum chamber where when you put the lid in on way, it cant come out with a force just pushing straight up. Then run this experiment again and pressurize the chamber instead. I think it would be even more hilarious that when they try to fly they just RAMM into the sides at faster speeds! :) XD
