This is my favorite game that I’ve ever watched. I was so upset when they lost to Spain in the final the previous world cup, so I remember being so nervous then they came out and absolutely dominated. I come back just to watch the highlights every once in a while

U mean the 7-1 Germany Brazil? Yes. Germany was unstoppable that year. But I think if The Netherlands didnt lose the penalty series against Argentina in the semi final, they might have made it more difficult for the Germans than Argentina did.

Holland Germany enchanted the world in 2014 world cup. Germany's football was so precise and well executed, but Holland's was also precise but more beautiful. Both teams displayed the most beautiful football in that world cup. I wish both Holland and Germany got 1st and 2nd place. But soon Holland will get a world cup 👍

Leading up to WC 2022 been watching previous WC games and this is one of my favourites. Been a fan of the Netherlands since WC 1998 and would love to see them win the WC once during my life time.

Starting a tournament with a fresh World Cup trophy on the desk makes teams probably a little lazy in motivation and Holland was smelling revenge and the players were boosted. That turned things around.
To put it lightly
The day the Spain squad finally wained was that tournament and they’ve never been the same since
i will never forget this match and the goal that Van Persie scored
As a German, this was in my view in many respects the best match of the 2014 WC (closely followed by our semi-final, of course :)).

So much astonish, the van persie goal,,, I receive positive vibes, every time that I watch it!
The newspaper headlines in my country read: THE FLYING DUCTHMAN. & on next page THE BLUE PANTHER (they mentioned Robben's speed was 37 km/h in that goal!). I still have these newspaper clippings. It was a surreal game, unforgettable.

This was maybe the best match ever played by a Dutch side . Sometimes you'd wonder if this was really happening . I beli3ve it was the chemistry between players and coach . They were a TEAM . You could see it in how they celebrated a goal . With the whole selection and staff . That same could be seen in the Ajax selection of 18/19 . Finally Oranje showed what they and Ajax could do .
