I actually think you have a reasonably sized collection. These vids always inspire me to rifle through my stuff as well. Im taking this year to use up items and organically declutter as I go.
I appreciate that you kept things that you are meh/okay but can finish. I hate to see people decluttering just because its not the perfect formula but its still usable! I have a foundation that is older and I want to finish it - I realize I am not a big fan of it anymore but I want to get my money's worth. I hope that dose brings back the liners they had some great colours! And your stash is so curated now.
The NYX/Hemp orange blush. Look amazing. Shame it is hard to work.
Mary Lou is also just an incredible highlighter. It's wild how well it's stood the test of time. I have the travel size of it and I'm probably never going to use it all up but I'll probably never stop enjoying trying, either.
It really has stood the test of time, a really great colour & formula!
This was a great way to start my morning - going to do a declutter soon, so this is good motivation!

Honestly that is okay too!! Maybe you could try a “chopping block” and spend some time with those items you put back into your collection to really determine if you like them or even feel like reaching for them

Great video! I think the Maybe Baby twists from the top black tapered part and not the bottom. If I remember correctly from one I had a while back, the bottom is a sharpener. If you haven’t tossed it, try that. I LOVE the Maybe Baby and when I finish up others in my collection I hope they still sell it 🌺😇

Awe thanks so much Sarah, I really appreciate you being here!! I want to film a “post declutter thoughts” kind of video because your comment really got me thinking & reflecting on this. Overall, I feel like my collection is at a really good size for me now and I’m happy I purged some of the things that were just taking up my energy. I won’t let my collection grow to be as large as it was before this declutter because it was pretty overwhelming for me at times!
Aw awesome! I would love to see it. I think I would handle it similarly to you, it makes sense for decluttered items to be learning lessons, either so that you learn more about your preferences or learn about how much of something you can realistically use up before it goes bad. Either way, guiding you more towards a more mindful and curated collection. I think that’s a good way to avoid feeling guilty about it, too, because we’re just learning! :)

Oh my I am putting the melt highlighter in pink on my WL. I am neutral and depending on my hair color gold or pink highlighters look amazing on me. Buuut I have too many highlighters so not buying it yet 😂
I don't know if you have already thrown out your pencil liners but i learned a little trick with those when they start drying out if you dull the tip all the way and then resharpen it they usually work pretty well again for a while, also the ones that aren't plastic you can hold a lighter to for a second and they are good as new. Hope one of those helps!
Ahh I did end up tossing them after trying to sharpen them. Unfortunately many of them didn’t have any moisture in them any more 😭
I recently used up the Elf Holy Hydration moisturizer, fragrance free version, and didn't realize the packaging is non-recyclable. It wasn't a favorite, so will most likely not repurchase!

Pink moon makes a beautiful blush topper. Thats how i use it (im golden tan), because i cant get away with it as a highlighter given my skin tone lol

Try twisting the Dose of Colors liner from the top. I think the bottom pops off and is not the twist up. Hope this helps save one of your liners. =)

I think if you really want that Annabelle khaki liner, you can sharpen off the top inch and the rest should be okay! I know where you’re coming from though, it sucks “wasting” a good eyeliner focusing on something else (but if you switch liners, now you’re neglecting the other one 😅)
I ended up sharpening all of the dry ones after this video and unfortunately they are too dry and tug 😭 I won’t buy any replacements until I use the ones I still have for sure!!

I always get torn in between getting rid of something I don’t like or just using it up since I’ve already spent the money on it. How do you choose in that scenario? Most of my friends don’t wear makeup or use the same type of products so I normally don’t give anything away.
With a lot of these products, I have held onto them for YEARS thinking that way - I want to use them up & that I will roll them into a project pan to do so. But it hasn't yet happened & I have products I prefer to use in their place. My mindset is that I really want to use products I enjoy/can see myself actually using up. So if they have not found a way into my routine, are always overlooked when it comes to project pan focus product selection and have only stayed with me "to finish up" they are kinda just weighing me down at this point. They are simply not going to be used up, and I recognize that now. I hope that you can use up what feels right for you and let go of those things that aren't 😊

hi , check on the bottles on how long the product lasts , i know i only keep mine for one year only , then i just bin them , i prefer my skin to look nice than just make a foundation used up ! there is a use by date on the bottle ,the same goes for concealers , i never ever make things work life is too short to make things work just buy the right shade. your skin is to precious to use products which have gone out of date .
