Always hurts seeing all the tins/packs I opened up as a child being worth hundreds and thousands of dollars now. Worst part is back then I never kept them in sleeves and played with them a bunch…
I think it was supposed to be like that, you enjoyed your favorite pokemon cards/games as any kid is supposed to, I don't think thousands of dollars in value weight more than does unique experiences that won't repeat again. some kids didn't even had the means, so we were blessed, but I get what you say, I 2 wish I would had kept my charizads in mint conditions and not just give them away 😅
It's never too late. The merchandise being released this year will be worth the same as Flashfire today in the same amount of time. It's why sealed merch is so good to collect.

I’m watching old videos to catch up from when I took a break from social media and when you opened the Xerneas tin that hit me with a wave of nostalgia I remember being I think 12 or 13 idk anymore opening like 2 of those tins feeling like I was the coolest kid ever!
That $50 tin was dope. It was cool to see the Heart Gold Soul Silver packs though. Legendary Treasures was awesome too!
It's wild to see the 50$ tin get better pulls then some of the higher end ones, I had hope the 10$ tin would somehow pull it off

I feel like those Tag Team tins have crazy pull rates. When I got one, I pulled a rainbow Dialga, and you got a rainbow Flygon.

It feels so nostalgic to see Diamond & Pearl packs getting opened and see the cards. I have pulled so many of those cards, so I recognize them every time. Those sets were the ones that were new when I started collecting Pokémon cards. I grew up with Gen 3 and Gen 4

Hey Pokérev, I have a suggestion for the next video like this! Instead of going by the best/most valuable pulls, why not calculate the profit/loss from the tin? As tins older and more expensive tend to have good hits/chase cards in the sets inside, you should calculate (price of product - pulls = $ lost or gained) so as to balance the tins. $1 packs ARE definitely cheaper but usually have Low-value cards inside while hidden fates or cosmic eclipse ARE more expensive but have great chase cards to go for. Just a suggestion for another video. thanks!
e.g. profit/loss for $10 tin: Cost - Value of cards = Result (Negative means profit) $10 - $2 = $8 (so $8 loss)

When I gave all my old cards away years ago I kept one card, the Suicune from the $1000 tin! Itake been lost for probably almost 10 years:( it’s super nostalgic to see the tin again!

That 200$ tin was fire, probably my favorite one.
I received my 151 upc and the gold promo metal card had blood on the corner of it and it was sealed with the card, does it make the card more valuable or less valuable? It came like that from the factory.
at the rite aid in my neighborhood growing up, those suicune tins (plus the other dogs) sat on the shelf for like 4-5 years until i bought them all in like 2014-2015 at 12 years old and opened them all lmao that rite aid had some olddddd stuff because no one near me cared about pokemon at that point

I remember when these first came to the states and were sold at the dollar store. I happened to “cough” borrow a pack without paying. Mind you I was like 9-10. Opened the pack in the back of the car with my entire family going to dinner together… a freaking first gen Charizard. I $h!t you not… Got all giddy and showed my brothers and my Dad asked me how I got the cards because I didn’t even ask for anything in the store. He figured me out and took it from me. Put it on his dresser by his cologne and gum that id also take every morning before school. Spring cleaning came around, he tossed it. A couple years back I told him what that cards worth now. He asked me if we wanted to take a 9 hour drive back to our childhood home, and “tear the son of b apart to find it” 😂 Sorry for the life story. Just love Pokémon

That $300 tin was pretty good. The Cinccino artwork was insane, not to mention it was followed by its pre evolution
You gave me major nostalgia with the diamond and pearl tin since I got the base set diamond and pearl empoleon lv.x chase out of the first pack of diamond and pearl cards I ever got when I was visiting my dad when I was 9, although I didn't understand how value worked back than so I wrote do not touch on the back, which ruined it's value. On top of that my friends older brother went with us to one of the local tournaments when I played and he got a pack of mysterious treasures with the lucario lv.x and gave it to me since he wasn't into pokemon, thankfully I was older and didn't mark that one.
This brings me back to the best days of pokemon. I remember going to toys r us to sniff out the first edition team rocket packs….I’m showing my age😢
