Cute Animals nation TM là một ☝🏼
I was thinking the same thing, great apartment dog, not great for the neighbors of that apartment.
Had a corgi with the ex. She (the dog) wasn´t all that well trained, but we did get her to not bark indoors relatively easily. She would still let us know people was near our front door by growling, but only rarely bark loudly... Had her for about 4 years and walked her about 2 hours each days letting her talk to all strangers, stimulation is important! :)
@@fastertove thank you for specifying which “she” you were talking about lol
my corgi is the exception to the high energy part. he is done after a 10 minute walk and refuses to go anymore haha. he is a lazy little thing.
I need a Corgi like that 😜
@@ContemporaryCompendium me too😂
Mine was too. The breeders said he would eat from the bowl while laying flat on the floor. "That's the one! We want the lazy one," we said.
Me all day
Mine is too. A burst of excitement for 20 sec and he is done. Lol
Yeah!! We have our pembroke welsh corgi named georgie and he’s almost two years old. They are so sweet and loyal. But also have a mind of their OWN. You get a True loyal friend
SJXLS Georgie you want your dog treat back? Just climb down here Georgie I have a lot of doggie snacks don’t you want some doggie snacks? Just come down here
Snake georgie is not so Food driven ;) he mostly looks at you with a expression That says ‘it THAT what u call a treat?!’
*I T* reference... Pennywise: Hey georgie, I'm the dancing clown c:
kzhead.info/sun/bJGoqMd_omeDe68/bejne.html ddd
Isn't most dogs a true loyal friend tho?
My corgi passed away this year, after 14 years with her. I miss her so damn much T.T
I hear ya. My Toby passed on in April of 2016 after almost 14 years with him. He was such a wonderful little friend.
Rest In Peace I'm so sorry ! 💖💖💖
@@timhaldane7588 My condolences to the both of you, I hope that you remember that he had a great life and that he loves you.
Brendan Lewicki i had mine for 14 years, he got into some ant posion so we had to put him down.
Hope you get better!
You missed “fluffy but” for physical characteristics
Or. That they look like adorable loaves of bread
I’ve had my Corgi for 8 years and it’s been 8 years of pure joy, laughs & unconditional love!!
They’re loud, obnoxious, destructive, stubborn, annoying and heavy shedder.
For those who want to get a corgi I highly recommend NOT buying form a store but adopting from a breeder. It might be a little more costly sometimes but it's better knowing where the dogs come from and knowing that they where breed humanly and cared for.
Yes and being able to go to the breeder house to see the conditions is very important. We used to breed corgis and we always allowed people to come see where the puppies grew up and the parents. :)
2:12 still cracks me up
😂 ikr!
My fav is his dislike of Selena Gomez 00:20 xD
Cheese Cake lol I was about to comment this
Me too

I got my corgi at a shelter, he’s the best thing that has ever happened to me. I love him so much. Got him when he turned 2 years old and he turned 4 not too long ago ❤️ when I adopted him he was sooo scared of people and super shy, now he’s the complete opposite. I gained his trust and he came out his little shell
Corgi Mom That’s amazing you got him from a shelter :) he’s sounds adorable
Got my little guy over a year ago and he has been the perfect dog for me. Energetic, social, and loving.
Awww seeing Gatsby as a puppy, and he is still super cute.
Maybe Gatsby doesn't bark much because you've always done such a good job at exercising him physically and mentally? He was never bored, so never developed that habit.
Kaytie Buckhalt That's an interesting point. My sister has 2 corgis that are apartment dogs. They bark constantly. I have a corgi but I live on 2 acres and she spends most of her time outside chasing rabbits. She barks some outside but she only barks in the house when she has a reason to. She's an awesome dog but she seems to have decided that it's her mission in life to keep the cats in line. Fortunately my 3 cats are pretty good natured and they pretty much tolerate her without doing any damage.
0:10 Ryan: Say hi! Gatsby immediately puts his paw up to say hi
The way you love your corgi sets a good example to other dog owners❤️ you and your corgi are amazing
We have our 2 Corgi's partly due to you and Gatsby! We have learned to much from your vids plus I get so many giggles because I can totally relate to all of them. I have to say I literally laughed out loud in the vid when I noticed Gatsby's fur on your shirt! I wear that same fashion accessory every day as well! LOL Love y'all!
I'm planing to get a corgi in the future when I'm older and this video helped a lot to help me know the problems and stuff on having a corgi. Ty for making this video! 😀😘
I found my Welsh Carnigan Corgi in a local shelter 😮 ( yep sure did ) his name is Georgie and we love him so much! It was explained to me that when the shelter picked him up wondering the street, he was altered at the shelter, and the previous owners didn't want him because he could no longer breed.😢 Its okay because he has a very loving home, and we're so lucky to have him ❤️ he even has the same colors as Gatsby! 😍
Thank you for the helpful tips! I've wanted a corgi for many years so I'm learning all I can about taking care of them so I'll be ready when I'm ready to adopt
I always love your vlogs, Gatsby is the cutest, sweetest & most intelligent doggie ☺️
Loving these extras! Would love to see a extra something fitness related too
This is the video that started the love of Gatsby.
Thankyou for including so much knowledge! It's so hard finding decent breed videos!
"They Shed alot" and you see Gatsby's fur in his shirt. Hahaha
Find a Corgi Rescue adoption facility in your area to adopt a Corgi.
I agree, but like what he said it is very hard to get a corgi that way. I've been on a waiting list for the last two years for a regional corgi adoption facility and have not heard anything. It's not like I don't have experience either, my husband and I have 2 adult corgis.
Wanda Richardson agreed. I found my dog through petfinder. It took 6 months of checking daily but ended up with a great dog that's a great fit so it was well worth it. The right one is out there and there are so many rescues that it's possible to find if you have patience
I approached several rescue organizations when I was looking for a dog, specifically a corgi since I had a couple of them growing up. 1) No rescues corgis were available in my part of the country, 2) other rescue dog organizations would not consider you without a yard (despite having an off-leash dog park at the end of my block), 3) they wanted somebody home with the dog alone no more than 4 hours a day or they would not consider you, and 4) they required an inspection of the home before you could receive the dog. It was kind of like dealing with a Home Owners Association that wanted to control your life. If you find a rescue corgi, more power to you! However, I found the rescue groups (specifically purebreds) to be unfavorable unless you have a large home, work from home / have a stay-at-home spouse, and fenced yard. But, ultimately that may be a supply/demand issue.
Jason Harron That may seem really hard but they wanna make sure that the dog gets into his now forever home. In rescues many dogs already have made some bad experiences with humans and so they need some extra care. So they just wanna make sure you are the perfect home for that dog.
I found my Stuart in one day by contacting Lakeshore Corgi Rescue, the main entity for the Midwest at the time. He was a ten month old tricolor. Of course that was pre-social media, back in December of 1999.... Back then most folks had no idea what a Pembroke Welsh Corgi was. The usual response to what Stuart was, was "A what?" We've come a long way since then. I believe PWCs were in the 30s or 40s of popularity rank. Now they are in the top twenty. I lost Stuart in March of this year. He was 19 years, one month, one week, one day. Since then I have casually looked for another rescue. I've seen several in the last month for rehoming on Facebook groups here in Michigan. So, if you are less particular about gender, age, and color, the process won't be that long.
Thanks for this. I have a Corgi mix who was a stray. He's lovely and loves herding everyone lmao!
Nothing will never stop me from getting me a corgi ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ love your channel
ahhh i love corgis!!! there soooo cute😍💘 i love Gastby🤩
What many people don’t know is that the Corgi is an incredibly healthy dog breed. They almost have no inheritable illnesses. :)
I love Gatsby! He always makes me smile!
My corgi doesn’t bark much either except when she feels we are in trouble. I’ve had many many dogs in my life and I have to say my corgi is the best behaved and best temperament dog I’ve ever had in my life. She is really an angel from heaven and best friend. I spent 1600 on her. I actually got her for my daughter who was 10 at the time and I was very apprehensive about another living thing in my house but absolutely no regrets. She walks right next to us, doesn’t chase other people or dogs and is just full of love. Really the picture perfect dog anyone could imagine. 10/10!
You’re the best❤️❤️❤️ Love youu 💞💞💞
I’m getting one next week AHHHH I’m so excited!
This video nails everything about Corgis; especially the shedding and the chasing of other dogs and the hip issues later in life. Still, I loved mine
Well said!! I actually got lucky and adopted Ein from a shelter 10 years ago 😊😊
Him: "Do you like Selena Gomez?" Dog:😐
I was just watching your vids lol btw Iove you and Gastby
It was good meeting you and Gatsby last year at Corgi-Con. I might be in SF again in October!
I’m so happy he made this!! I commented on another video to ask for him to do this and he did!!!
$850? 😭 They're like $1,500 a puppy now. I'm saving up to get one and also stalking rescues for one. Thanks for all this awesome info!
Yay u uploaded
I just adopted a corgi jack Russell ! Crazy beautiful, balanced combination 🥰
We have had two Pembroke Welsh Corgis for a total of 25 years. They do shed a lot but I would say that is their only negative. Both of our dogs were males and did not bark very much. We had the second one for months before he barked which meant we had to watch to know when he wanted to go out - he would just stand by the back door. The other thing worth mentioning is corgis will tailor their energy to yours. So if we were hiking, they were up for it, but they were also champion nappers. They are gregarious, happy little dogs with big personalities and brought a lot of love and companionship to our lives.
i want a whole hour video of him reacting to Selena Gomez !!!!
Dave Su why lol
$800-$1000??? Yeah right Ryen. Try $2000-$2400. I've been looking for months, and they are all in the $2000 - $2400 range.
DragonKingGaav I’m assuming you’re on the East Coast? It’s $800 to $1,000 if you buy in the Midwest or Central. We got $2,500 for ours and we got her in PA.
I am actually on the West Coast. I've been looking everywhere. The best deal I found was $1500.
DragonKingGaav - you should join Corgi for sale or rehome group on facebook! You’ll get your corgi in no time!
Like what Charmander A said, corgis in the midwest are cheaper. The breeder I got one of my girls from still has her corgis priced at $600, and she also has a 1 year health guarantee on her dogs.
Hi Jenelle, Could you please email (abelnightroad2088@gmail.com) the contact info of the bread that you got your corgi from? Thanks!
Thank you so much for the info, I was thinking of getting a corgi but because of the shedding and energy level , it’s not for me, but I still love them and yours is so cute!
I watched you even when I didn’t have a KZhead account and that was years ago and on my street someone has a corgi as well!
Gaspy the corgi the best corgi around🎶
Super Doug! Gatsby
Super Doug! Gatsby*
My mom said I can get a dog when I graduate, I'm a senior behind 85 credits and I've never been trying at something so hard in my life. 🙏🏻
Cool! Having Corgi looks like fun. A Corgi seems to be a great dog to have, because they're friendly.
I had a corgi (well two but one passed) and I am getting another one. I agree with you on a lot of the stuff. The one that I had was always busy, she barked at everything, and she would cuddle. She would also chase everything (including cars).
I love you guys.
I would say a lot of breeders sell their puppies for even higher than $1,000 now due to popularity. I got my corgi in 2016 and she was $1250. Since then, my breeder has raised her prices by a few hundred and I hear from my friends who also own corgis that their breeders have done the same. I've been lightly looking into prices(my original breeder moved) since I hope to get another pup in the near future, and the ranges I've seen(specifically in the western half of the United States) are from $1,000 to $2,000. I'm sure you can find one for $800 but it's much more rare than it used to be.
Ambur Phillips Agreed. When we got our first corgo @lincolnvonsneakers (2yrs) he was around the $1200 range. Our breeder has since increased the prices to 2k. Significant price increase in 2 years. Though pricey they are totally worth every penny! ☺️
3k for a corgi in Colorado
We got our Kasper last year (2017) at $1,400. . We’re based in NC. At a local pet store that sells puppies, they price their corgi’s at $2300 and up + tax. Insane
I have 2 corgis, both turning 11 this year and were $500 at the time...before corgis got super popular
I have a corgi and mine was 2000 Swiss francs about 1800 € but was really hard to find plus you need to be careful where to buy them mine was from a Swiss breeder which is more controlled by the government but I know a tons of stories about puppies farms where they don't care about the dog and they use the females just to breed like a factory so it's better to visit the breeders and ask them to show you both parents and the pedigree papers of both of them so you won't have bad surprises!!
Dude watching your videos help me decide what dog I wanted. I just got a little female corgi. You are right. the little bugger was so hard to find. they are even more rare in Souh Africa. Thank you so much!!!
I live in Hawaii and my pembroke was 3k.. But I love him so much, he's the sweetest
What about a want a salt water aquarium? Things to know please do that
Try considering corgi mixes too. They tend to be healthier overall just because they have more diverse genes. I loved my first corgi, Howl, very much, but he suffered from bad seizure issues. I'm hoping my corgi mix, Westley lives a much happier healthier life! There are a lot of super cute corgi mixes out there too!
crystalfire294 I have a corgi chihuahua mix and she is the best. I got her as a rescue.
Awww! That sounds adorable! I don't even know what my corgi a mix of, but he looks very much like a purebred cardigan corgi (though he doesn't have a long tale. Not sure if it was docked or if he is just mixed with a dog that has a short tail). He was a rescue too, so I don't really know.
mine is in my display pic. she is in a down comforter which was her favorite place to be over the winter..=) She has the chihuahua face and corgi body. She has a chihuahua tail and corgi ears..=)
It felt like gatsby was a puppy yesterday so much memories with that cute dog
*The amount of HAIR on your shirt 😂😂* *Gatsby is my fav corgi on YT. ❤️*
Gatsby's super cute and I love Ryan's videos but PLEASE everyone: if you want a dog, don't focus on a purebred breed you want and go spend hundreds on buying one. Go to a shelter, find a sweet dog there, save you money, and adopt him/her! The breed doesn't matter. You don't need a 850 dollar corgi just because you think they're cute dogs. There's so many dogs with no home, no families, stuck in cages and potentially euthanized if not adopted. Choose them!
While I wholeheartedly agree with you, people still have the right to get a purebred. The main thing I would say is that, if you want to get a shelter pet, then do, but if you want to get a purebred then make sure that the breeder you are getting the dog from is responsible and a reputable breeder. I've heard so many horror stories of people paying breeders on facebook and then finding out later that the "breeder" wasn't a breeder and stole their money.
Hannah Marie you're so right.
really what i was thinking, good message :D
Hannah Marie While I do agree with you and people should go to shelters to adopt pets from there, not every family CAN do that. Sometimes families require something specific (like a hypoallergenic dog for example) so they would have to find a reputable breeder for that breed. I strongly agree that you shouldn’t just find a breeder and a purebred dog just because it’s cute, though. That’s a bit shallow to me, personally, because they could’ve just gone to the shelter and saved a life instead. I think that you should always go to the shelter with the exception of times when you need to find a specific pet, when you get your first dog, and (possibly) if you have children/babies that could possibly freak/be freaked by a new dog
Mabel Liu Not all shelter dogs are the same! You can find small dogs at a shelter, big dogs, lazy dogs, active dogs, etc. I've seen everything from little poodles to huskies and labs.
The perfect dog
Emraan Duso true dat
@Zach Carlisle As long as you use positive reinforcement, yes. They learn very quickly, especially if they know they can earn a treat, but are super stubborn when it comes to intimidation. Almost cat-like in their disdain for the word "no."
oh how time flies!! Gatsby used to be so so so so small!!!!!!!
My family had a corgi for 12 years! He was a bossy one for sure. We called him the house police. He would bark at us for hugging, laughing, running, anything. If he was awake and wanted you to be awake he would headbutt the door to get in and yell at you until you got up. My favorite was crawling around on the ground, mooing and pretending I was a cow. He would freak out and play. Corgis are the best!
Lowkey this channel deserves more subs than jake paul
Rescues need love and homes.
All dogs need love and homes, not just shelter pups. If you want to really make a difference, volunteer and donate to said shelter. You don't have to always adopt a dog. Most shelters need supplies and foster homes the most.
All dogs need love and homes, not just shelter dogs
TheRedhead1997 - That is such an obvious statement. Dogs from breeders are usually born with love and homes at the ready. For shelter dogs, it may be years before they have either. See the difference?
kelperdude if we had less people wanting bred dogs and taking shelter dogs instead, the world would be a better place
People who take the time to wait and do their research aren’t usually the ones who dump their dogs in the shelter or the ones to abuse their dogs, if everyone educated themselves and think it through long and hard before getting a dog, making sure they’re getting it from a responsible breeder who commits to their dogs, then there will be much less dogs in the shelter
The shedding definitely true. My corgi is just a puppy but still sheds like CRAZY
I have a Corgi Chihuahua mix. He mostly looks like a Corgi, but has the skinny Chihuahua legs and tail. I got him from the local Humane Society when he was 5 yrs old and he's almost 7. I see characteristics from both breeds. He's feisty like the Chihuahua, but plays a lot like the Corgi. He gets along with our Cockapoo, but growls at our cat when he tries to sneak on my lap if he's already on it. I love both breeds and having a mix gives us the best of both.
to add onto this video, people make sure you look into both corgi breeds as they are both different and one might be better for you then the other! also never buy a pembroke corgi who has a blue merle coat, only cardigan welsh corgis have a merle coat, any pem with a merle coat is a sign of bad/improper breeding and most likely only done for the money!
Is it a good idea to get a corgi as a first puppy? If not what is?
We love ours and though our first corgi was not our first dog, he was amazing. They do need a lot of attention and energy outlets so plan to spend a lot of time outside with a ball. If you can do that you're ready! Just one more thing, make sure you have them on a really good diet to go along with their exercise.
My first puppy was a corgi and I learned to take great care of her. The first time I encountered a snake she barked at it.
My Corgi is a rescue and we got her without being on a wait list. She is 67% Corgi, 20% Collie, 9% German Shepherd, 2% Jack Russel, 1% Other She doesn't bark due to her previous owners spraying her when she did and when she barks she backs up thinking that she will get sprayed. We don't. She is still a little bit anxious whenever she barks or digs(She got sprayed for that with her previous owners)
I have a Corgi named Kaylee after the engineer from firefly. She was a rescue from an backyard breeder and abandonment. I absolutely love this girl.
plus our Kaylee is not a super loud dog.. but she will alert you about stuff around a dog..
When getting a Corgi, getting a bad Corgi is like winning the lottery your most likely to get murdered and hit by lightning on the same day.
Lol I see the hair issues (there are tons of hair covered on you 😂)
I bought a corgi puppy from some chick on Facebook. She abused him and neglected him. The lady also lied about his parvo shots and deworming so we’ve been deworming him for a week. He was super skinny. But now he’s a beautiful lil black thicc corgi who loves to play! He’s doing so much better and I’m so excited!
Omg throw a shoe full of raw eggs at her head for abusing the doggo!
I had a beagle-corgi mix growing up (in my pic!). Unfortunately he passed away from a stomach tumor, him passing was one of the hardest things... I loved him so much! On May 5, we will be bringing home a corgi puppy and I can't wait. ❤️It's been 8 year since the passing of my last dog, I think it's time ;)
“Protecting the house mmmm....” Robber: HAH! I’m robbing yo- *Sees Corgi* Robber: THIS IS SO CUTE KNOW WHAT IM NOT ROBBING THIS HOUSE ANYMORE Me: and that concludes my experiment

Never underestimate the gratitude of a rescue dog either. They will cherish you for life
He so smart he knows how to say hi with his paws
My grandma sells corgis we’re about to have two litters
Kelly Burton oh I wish! 😍
If your early and you know it, please reply! (Not asking for likes, because it’s not right xD)
I got mine this year and she is my favorite person thank you for sharing info about the wonderful potatoes
As you can see from my picture, Otis was 1/2 Corgi 1/2 Sheltie. He lived to the ripe old age of 18. He was the best dog ever. No shedding, not a big barker unless you work for the Postal Service. Could play fetch for hours, and would play with anyone. Miss him like crazy.
wait... He's a corgi?! I thought he was a German shefferd ... You might want to check. Capree looks a lot like a shofford...
Shawn Secrets He is a Corgi, but has a similar pattern to a German Shepherd.

My corgi is very laid back and also energetic. She doesn't bark and is very cute. She is different from other corgis and I love that about her
We are getting a Cardigan Welsh Corgi and I’m so so excited
I would never be specific when getting a dog, I chose to go to my local shelter and pick one I connect with not one that looks nice,

I love corgis, and i hope that some day I will get one. This video was just what I needed, so thanks alot!! :)
I have a Corgi his name is Ozzie and he’s 9 years old. I can tell you he has been the best dog I have ever had. Corgis are very much people pleasers and will do any thing to make you smile. They are always hungry and always up to play even in. Older years. Get one!
I can definitely see a lot of corgi aspects in my pet borgi! She sheds like crazy, is super stubborn, very vocal, and she has also had problems in her back leg from a torn ligament for the last few years :( Fortunately she has been resting and getting a lot better!
I am very blessed in the way that if I wanted a corgi, it's just TOO easy! The horse back riding barn I've been going to for 10 years has lots of adorable corgis I've loved and bonded with over the years. We breed the corgis ever so often and bring them to the barn and put them in our special corgi room especially made for corgi puppies and their momma! We sure love our corgis so if I were to get one to call my own it couldn't be any easier!
Your presentation is so enjoyable...and I really really need a corgi or two lol
Mu Milo was a very quiet corgi and have heard you can train this into their behavior, but might be the temperament of individual corgis. great video
I remember someone saying they look like miniature German Shepherds. I think that's an apt description. Love Corgis :)
Great video! Thank you. The shedding is what is hindering me right now,
My brother was in college when he got a corgi. His friend actually bought a purebred puppy and decided she didn’t want it after realizing it would be a lot of work (duh) so he got a purebred for free. He’s done a very good job since Corgis are super energetic and need lots of attention. Now she’s a year old and my brother has graduated college. Idk why I wanted to say that but yeah
My heart melts! I have a 5 yr old pembroke named Archibald! I am sold for life. I purchased my dog from a working farm, 1000. Worth every penny 💕
