We can be sitting on the sofa reading a book or watching the telly and you all just ignore us. We can be trying to chat with you and you don't want to talk. But let mum pick up the phone and talk to someone 🤣. It is like flies to the jam jar, all of a sudden, mum is popular and everyone wants to talk

  • The snapping one had me thinking about what my dad would do for me and my sister. My dad does that signature low hi falling whistle where you do one quick low note and then a higher pitched one that falls lower kind of quickly, my dad would do this to call us in from outside to let us know that dinner is ready or to tell us its time to go in, my friends parents did the same thing so sometimes I will whistle like it just to mess with them. Its so funny when they just look around like "where's dad? Did he just call us?" I sometimes do it to my sister as well.

  • Imagine being in the same car with your family and you get an important business call from your boss and then your hubby/wife is snapping her fingers super loudly because your oldest son is chewing gum loudly WHILE (insert that whole thing again). My younger brothers (both twins) and I were all squished together in the middle row of our Chevy Suburban going on a long trip to Texas for the first time and suddenly, my Dad’s phone rang and he was like, “everybody needs to shut up right now” before picking up the phone and greeting his BOSS. It was one of those days where you’re told to “shut up” by your own Dad in the same car as you. Getting to the best part of the story: My younger twin brothers (Calvin and Caleb - Calvin’s older than Caleb by 5 minutes), who were sitting in between me, started being really obnoxious and loud by saying their catchphrase in a whiny girl voice “oh my God” about 2 times when my Mom, whom is literally the QUEEN of Finger Snapping, turned around in her seat and started doing her magic. However, the snapping was louder than the obnoxious voices, so then my Mom told me to shut the boys up by putting a finger on their mouth to shut up. It didn’t work so we ended up ruining our Dad’s business call. That’s my story. What’s yours?
