There is no way to tell the difference anymore. Doesn't matter if you have a retail pair or not. Matter of fact lots of retail pairs have more flaws than the fake pairs. These aren't handmade.

I always check the big name stores first(footlocker champs finish line Nike jd sports etc.)then after that I usually go with GOAT first then StockX I bid on them first to see if I can get a lower price than what they’re reselling for let the offer sit for about a week
Here in Orlando, we've got 7 Nike Oulets, Clearance and Unite stores. The number of "sold out" shoes I've pulled not only from them, but on a discount, would blow your mind. Most recently, I stumbled into one and found the LeBron 20 Time Machine which just sold out (there's that false term again) on SNKRS just a few weeks earlier.

I get this get what you like. Because I never really thought about getting a pair of mids until I saw the women's Tiki leaf Jordans and just because of the different color reds on it I was like omg yes because it is my color
Here's another tip, resell or reps. If you care about others opinion and don't mind go for retail, go for it. But if you want shoes that look like retail and could care less about others opinions, reps the move.

Tip #1 get out while you can. Tip #2 if you’re still here save some money before you spend it all on shoes. Tip #3 you spent all your shoe money. you’re probably thinking about digging into that savings. Don’t do it Tip #4 you used your savings on sneakers. You can’t pay rent. Sell your sneakers Tip #5 you didn’t sell your sneakers. You lost your girlfriend and you live with your parents again. You regret getting into sneakers but you’re in to deep. Tip #6 you saved up enough money to move out of your parents house again but the new Jordan 1 lost and found’s dropped. You took an L on Sneakers. You spend 500 on stockx on them. You can’t move out and you never wear the sneaker because you don’t want to get them dirty. Should of followed tip #1.

All I buy are UA's now. Resellers messed it up for me. I'll never buy another retail pair for the rest of my life. Can't even hit on anything, bruh. I don't have time to be chasing after shoes and spending hundreds on every pair.

I've been wearing fake yeezys since 2019. At least in the city of Chicago, nobody has ever called me out and I paid 1/3 of the price for replicas compared to retail.

Tip 6 stay away from amazon anti shoe creasers 😂 They make ugly lines indented on the side of your shoes
I’ve bought Crease protectors off Amazon and I think they help tremendously. Just my preference. Also, they do effect the feel of the shoe, just something to keep in mind.

I found a website where they sell rep sneakers but for retail price. Is that a good deal ? I’ve watched a video review on the website and the guy who got them said they were good quality as well as reviews on the website.
Prices vary depending on the quality. Cheaper reps usually have some flaws. Good pairs run about $100-160

@Jimmy Kantstandyourbitz facts. I have a few pair of reps in my collection. Matter of fact I told my brother recently which ones and even he didn't believe me. There's a guy in my town who sells them and he gets really good quality reps. 98% of my collection is authentic pairs but if there is a pair I either don't wanna go through the trouble of chasing ( which is what I won't do) I'll go see him. Not a thing wrong with rocking reps. These resellers have pushed us all in that direction and im not mad at em

Only shoes I’ve overpaid were the Bred 4’s which I’m not mad at but looking back at it now it was way too much. I’m gonna try to go for the lobsters tomorrow which ik I’ll most likely take an L with. If I don’t hit, lobsters are probably the 1st pair of reps I’m getting.

I have so many that mine never really get dirty. I clean them after wearing them once or twice. They always look new. I’m that cool OG that’s always rocking fresh kicks. It’s funny how women are attracted to men that wear fresh shoes.

Re shoevinator the mr clean magic erasers are great, if you nothing to start with a regular toothbrush and soap works great at first for basic cleaning , oh and know the materials your shoes are made out of before you clean them (suede shoes need cleanser made for suede)
Oh and buy wooden cedar shoe trees for leather sneakers put them in for 24 hours after you wear your shoes they absorb moisture let out a refreshing smell and stretch leather to prevent creasing, also fights off mold and the smell is toxic to bugs

The biggest tragedy here is that neither you nor most of your viewers will likely every experience what it’s like wearing well-made, comfortable sneakers. Because your sneaker game consists of marginalizing your comfort at the behest of chasing street style sneakers, none of which are made with so much as an modicum of quality. Unfortunately though, the “best” sneakers aren’t the most style conscious: Mizuno wave inspire, ASICS Gel Keyano, NB Fresh Foam Vongo, Saucony Guide, etc. These are head and shoulders above anything you own. Not even in the same universe as the junk Nike makes that masquerades poorly as athletic sneakers.
Oh great, someone who that thinks they’re “so edgy” because they don’t wear Nikes or Jordans and makes a generalization that all Nikes are crap quality. It is true that they put out SOME poor quality shoes, but not all the time, and they’re not the only brand that has done that; even the brands that you’ve mentioned don’t put out quality shoes 100% of the time. If it’s not your style, do you; but you don’t need to be so condescending just because many of us aren’t into wearing shoes that you like. Good day.
Saucony Triumph changed my whole outlook. Brooks Glycerin 15 and Hoka Bondi 5 were also revolutionary.

His only tip that matters is #4! Just buy what YOU like. If you really got good taste then you’ll wake up one day and have 10’s of thousands of dollars “worth” of shoes. The game now is like crypto. False value. It’s just leather and rubber. I liked the Reebok/Pharrell Ice Creams, SB Premium dunks and all them shoes from pre-2010. Held onto them and now “sneaker heads” & “hypebeasts” will stop me and tell me I’m crazy to be wearing my shoes… that…i…bought…to…wear…as…shoes! (Not “investments”!) I only just got back into because some of these eBay auctions with cheap authentic “beaters” aren’t as bad as they seem and im not reselling. Just restoring….. baking soda and dish soap from those tutorials actually DOES work!!

You can be a sneakerhead and have zero hype sneakers.. you are absolutely not a sneakerhead if you only have hype sneakers. Mix it up.. buy what YOU like. Whenever I see someone collection and it's all jordan 1s and hypebeast shoes I'm not even impressed. Show me some variety then I'll believe your really in the game for the right reasons.

What's the whole deal with real or fake. I'd rather get caught with some clean knock offs than with a $5000 pair of sneakers that somebody could pull a pistol on me for. As long as they rock with my fit.....I'm straight!! Know one has to know how much paper I'm worth....that's cap and dumb.

Nobody cares if you're wearing a Jordan 1 mid or a high in real life.
My first experience with buying Jordans online was actually a scam because i was so new, and didnt know the red flags. This story has a happy ending though. i found myself on this sketch ass website called 'jordanstore" that also has the exact layout as a bunch of other sketchy sites. I bought a pair of Jordan 1 University Blue's for RETAIL price months after it was released. The next day, the skeptical part of my brain kicked in when thinking about the whole experience. They took my money, never sent me and email confirmation, and EVERYTHING on the website had 0 reviews. I may have been naive and ignorant but i am not dumb. I called my bank first. explained to them the situation, i think i bought shoes from an illegitimate business/scam website. They asked if i had contacted the "business" to fix the situation. Me knowing scammers, and how this situation will likely go, i told them they dodge my emails and calls. The lady i spoke with said they will try their best to get me a refund back. So after that phone call, i go back to the scam website, find an email, and contact them. "Hey i recently purchased a pair of (insert entire shoe name and size) as a gift and realized it was the wrong shoe. Is it possible you guys can cancel the order?" They responded "Sure, can we have the email you used?" I provided them the exact email i use to buy stuff. "We're sorry the email you provided is incorrect. Please give us you're order number." By this point i can see through the bullshit and im ready to cut the polite act. I replied "I use that exact email for all purchases. I was never sent any email with a confirmation code or order number, and yet i was charged $140. if you arent gonna give me a refund, im already in contact with my bank!" They never responded to that. I checked my bank account two days later, my money was back! I learned my lesson the hard way but got away with it in the end. Not everyone gets away lucky! Always buy your expensive sneakers from a reputable source!
