I have a bad reputation. Due to a rumor someone spread. So sometimes I really don't care about they think about me . But sometimes it really affect me. To tear me down in deep
Speak up for yourself whenever you can. Rumors are the weak of spirit people way to fight. Even when certain things are true, even then, sometimes it’s not right to talk about someone. I hope you feel good about yourself.

Starts as gossip by some immature asshole , and they keep spreading dirt to elevate their status repeatedly, known as covert workplace bullying, then can turn into social bullying/mobbing.
Except that status is low
People judge us based on our actions but more precisely on the way we act more than on what we actually achieve. Appearance of what you do is what creates the perception, not what you actually do.
Perception is more important than success itself , politicians know that very well
Perception and prejudice are more important than who you are and what you do. People judge based on weight, how pretty you are, they form opinions before knowing you and convince themselves they do know you, and convince people they spread malicious rumours to that they know you
All that assumes you'll have opportunity to fix things. It would seem a bad reputation can't always be redeemed
Then don't fix it. Just do what you can to survive. If you are as bad as the rumors have made you, then you deserve it. If not, then it fixes itself.
@@PersianLeonidusthat's not very understanding It's not always in our control. People spread crap about people, things can be said a d spread so easily. And it depends on tenacity of bullies too
Unfortunately, this is true, Giant, but all you can do is the advice presented in this video or move away and BE COMMITTED to establishing a brand new identity. When starting a new identity, you usually have to go lower for a long time before you can rise to where you were--if at all. Both situations take time and suffering. Both are extremely difficult so pick your hard. As with everything, it starts with the mind.

@@gianthills In a personal context this makes sense but I assumed you were referring to a professional context.
The majority of people you will meet are hurting. The lens that they will view you as will always be distorted and never good enough. If you start yo become more like those who are hurting, one misstep will be illuminated and they will smear you out for following through. Most advice given is terrible. And you will know if you have done a good job by the lack of support or acknowledgement. You will have more enemies that will smear and try to bring you down to their level. They will create scenarios and drama so others see you negatively or try to manipulate situations to catch a case...people who are hurting loves company and will feel empowered if you ask for a performance review. I've always spoke to God about my actions. That's the only opinion that I care about. Those people who truly know you, can and will hurt your image just out of spite that they are too insecure to achieve anything worth mentioning.
Agreed. The advice of asking frequently for performance reviews will only strengthten the notion that you are insecure and have a guilt complex. And the people who want to hurt you will use that to exploit you even further. Bad advice. Ignore them and let your long term actions speak for themselves, eventually people who heard rumors will realize its all unfounded and forget about it and even sometimes turn against the others who smeared you.
Think before you do anything and behave all the time or you’ll repuation will be bad!
That's subjective and naive. Some people get judged more than others, some people get away with a lot whilst others get away with nothing. Quiet people will know that if people don't know anything about you they fill in the gaps with inaccuracies and rumours and assumptions. People don't like not knowing

Hello👋 ,this is only from my own experience not everything that life thrown at us is our fault but perhaps how we react is & even in that I do believe that everyone is doing his best at the given circumstances
