Hi
Polish Husars Sabre please
@@nobody_somewhere why? Makes it more fun
Lukey S yes its dead animal i like it
Pls post more Forged In Fire 😁
This show is about weapons and slashing stuff but has got to be the most civil and respectful show
99.9% of the competitors are class acts. I've only ever seen a very small handful of guys who were not very good sports
I seen guys help each other....
That was the way back then. Honor & respect. One wrong move & it might escalate to a battle of death.
I agree i think its how the culture of being a blade/blacksmith wherein they are like knights. These guys are real men and they deserve respect.
@@moijavier9658 Very nice culture indeed
Its all fun and games until the strength test.
Heart attack time
but he still lost
Especially if it's a bending test. Those hurt me on a whole new level to watch.
Especially if it's J. Nielsen testing it
@@synthemagician4686 I was about to say this. I remember the one where in the test the blade took on a bend to one side, then as they bent it back, it fixed the bend partially, then took another slight bend the other way above the first, making the blade in to a very narrow S shape. OOFFF
Judge: after repeatedly slamming the same part of your blade into a metal rim, it has acquired a microscopic chip Contestant: 😟
The strenght test was stupid the blade was not ment to be used like that
And that's exactly the reason why they do it. To see how strong th eblade is even when put through something unexpected. The normal strength test is, in a way, the kill test.
Aurilion44 But in the second test that ring was already a little bit more down and he not hit it like he did before. That was not fair i think.
@@petruradu7242 Indeed blades are made to cut flesh and bones not barrels and trees.
@@panteaflorin i thibk they were trying to sê the durability of it
half of the smiths sound like they only go there to hear "it will kill"
No. They're here to hear that "it will KEEEEL!"
Sir, your blade broke. Me: but did it kill? Yes, it did. Me: I’m happy!!!!!! Going home happy!!!!
Of course!! Who doesn't? 🤣🤣🤣
A lot of Things will even kill.
Nobody cares killing.. But everyone cares about kealllling
I'm pooping RIGHT NOW, that guy gets me.
hahahah Same brother :D
I love how literally every single contestant in this show is so respectful with each other
When you hold the power to kill others in your hand, you become humble.
The literal only one that wasn't was some dweeb lost to the first woman and he just sulked up to the table then brushed past the winner, it was super uncomfortable to watch
Seem like they are having fun.. thats cool.
@@violetvictoria9908 u remember the name of that episode?
Episodes like this make me really sad, that there can only be 1 winner. I hope we will see them both again?
Fleischwolf it's a competition. Wouldn't be much of one when multiple people can win
I really wanna see them do a project together
Yes it is sad when smiths are very good and perform so well but loose to the smallest detail because of the competition. If only there was like a consolation prize or something for second place like 500$ or something.
Id say if the weapons are equal in design we have the competitors battle gladiator style
No worries cupcake that’s called a competition and a true competitor understands what that means.
I'd watch an entire show of just these two contestants forging weapons. These guys were cool and seemed great together.
would really like it if they had more close ups of their swords, would be nice to see their craftsmenship up close.
I think on the full eps you can see the blade close ups.
Agreed, they should display them on the stands before the test. It only takes 30 seconds to rotate around with the camera. A shame
Tyrfingr if you watch full episodes , before they do the testing they do exactly that
@@kainhammons3374 Then it is a shame they didn't include those scenes here ;) People like me are never satisfied! :D
I was just thinking how the first guy had one of the largest forges I've seen on here, then it cuts to the next guy heating up his small shoebox lol.
Very underrated comment 😂😂
I usually can tell who won but for the first time I couldn't.
it was easy who won from the Cut test
@@Hayastantzi92 Because damage was only done to the other blade, it made for a close decision. Also the cut test wasn't the determining factor, but rather the knuckle guard. I agree with OP.
@@Hayastantzi92 that wasn't even the reason why he losed
@@Hayastantzi92 no, you can say all you want, but Marc won...yes his guard came up there knockle, but the fact that that blade didn't got any damage on it or rolling at the strenght test. Is more impressive then a guard on which they all agreed it wasn't a big of a deal
I could as soon as the first tester said the guard rubbed his knuckle.
The competitors attitude was so amazing. We need more happy people like them on earth!
Can we appreciate how banger these metal backing tracks are when they're testing the weapons?? Shoutout to the sound dude/dudess
I agree my brother
yeah the second track was amazing with it's intro into the song
I like that this tiny detail Scott explained while working on the guard was the one tiny detail that secured his victory
I doubt that's the only tiny detail he explained. It's just the only tiny detail they bothered showing him explain. This is all edited after the fact, don't forget.
Love the sportsmanship in all of these
Ikr? They are so happy with each other and even hugging and all. Both very good bladesmiths.
7:55 I try to do like dough did. Now i dont know where's my hand is gone.
Rafito Hornero like dough?? U mean Doug?? 😂
It's not that hard though
@@balazspeterteren1322 ok bud
@@xsamuelpg3d542 no. Pizza dough. 😂
@@frankcastle4715 makes sense 😂
1:58 got me 💀💀
I absolutely love how the contestants are always so humble and gracious! The sportsmanship is as impressive as their craftsmanship!
Scott seems like the coolest dude to go have a beer with. "This is up there with getting married and having kids, and oh yeah, I'm a forged in fire CHAMPION" 🤣🤣🤣🙏
Gotta love the sportsmanship-
His grave stone it gonna say “ I got keelllled”
Mi p no...
The amount of bro energy in this show always makes it amazing
Doug: Your blade is LIGHT. Past winners: Congratulations on winning.
*EET WILL KEAL*
eet weel keel
Eht wehl keeeeel 🤪
This dialogue is the hallmark of this show
Engrish. The true universal language.
Hopefully with lots of blood and guts. Maybe a chopped off head. Right? ;)
How can a show be so violent but so wholesome?
One the things I love about this show is how respectful the contestants are of each other's craftsmanship.
"And most importantly it will keal...." I watch this show to hear this
Dude that deserves a tie two beautiful and amazing blades! What an ending so close if it wasn’t for a rubbing guard they both should of won.
One of the best shows ever with no extra drama; straight to the point as an arrow; participants really have sportsmanship
4:34 that IT WILL KILL expression was very deadly and oddly satisfying
Its been some time since the last one close like that
I love the way they each were so respectful to each other and hyped each other up after each test.
“Get my 10 grand in ones so I can roll around in it” 😂😂😂😂
This is why I love this show. Both weapons were fantastic, and it all came down to one minor detail. Both guys did awesome work. It's a tough competition.
he looked so sad when it didn´t cut through
I'm glad Doug clarified that it did cut, but from having a thicker edge, just did not go all the way through.
Some of the two best swords I've seen on here. A very close call. Impressive craftmanship by both of them! and of course: *It would keel*
Mad respect to both guys. I love how polite and respectful they are to each other. Great job to both!
I love how the tho guys are so excited in the kill test
1:57 hahahaha my man keepin it real!
Everyone says how "it will keeeeeel" But no one says how it will cut 😔
Lukey S it will cut
Did you know doug marcaida came from the Philippines 🙂
@@jemelcabalquinto569 I'm Filipino but please stop with the over proud stuff it's really cringy.
KEEEEEL
@@jemelcabalquinto569 and?
The soundtrack in this ep is awesome.
1:58 What? XD that kinda came out of nowhere. . I do appreciate he said forge thick grind thin. That's a good strategy.
Both of those guys are Winners!... Thanks for Sharing
Two absolutely beautiful blades these two turned in. Both should be exceedingly proud of their work.
I love the respect the contestants show to each other
The guard is rubbing my knuckles. It is rubbing lead into my knuckles.
I disagree with the decision here. The knuckle guard can be corrected with no change to the blade itself. But the other guy's blade actually chipped. Blade damage is far worse than a knuckle guard that is only slightly too close to the hand. You can't fix the chip without taking a lot of the blade material away.
first blade might have chipped but it still outperformed on the cut test, but a damaged blade performing better than an undamaged blade AND with less design flaw, it was more clear that the first blade was the better of the two to the judges
they should start giving them the size of their hands as parameters. same with the thickness of the handle ive seen in some decisions, they craft it so it feels good in their own hands
Winners sword seemed easier to use and got the lighter claim as well. Plus the guard, sharp edge is important but only one part.
The Guard might be able to be corrected but the competition is about the state that it was turned in in not about what can be done with it in the future. The state the blades guard was turned in with was the failing point in the blade at that time. Up till the end it was any ones game but the judges felt the flaw in the guard was enough to out weigh the chip and roll in the other blade.
the lightness can be adjusted with a slight grinding, the guard can be adjusted, the performance of the blade itself is a lot to do with the tempering which can be iffy at best to re-do. for some mild "discomfort" to just happen to fit or not fit the judges hands, I have to say the blade itself outperformed more comfortable guard. if in a dire situation I would give up a little comfort to know my blade wont roll, chip, or nick up to bad.
His sword really is amazing. Just the guard.
I love how all these guys are cool and respectful when they lose
Good battle. Mark just failed to make it comfortable for the hand. Keep up the good work smiths.
One of the closest competition on the whole show in my opinion, both did a great job.
Can’t imagine loosing because the judges have big hands, even though your blade doesn’t deform
@Liberty or Death they have dQ a person without even doing the strength test for this exact reason
@Liberty or Death but even then, considering Doug's martial arts background, they'd probably prefer the balance and weight.
@Liberty or Death Of course you can fix chips and rolls. Swords used to meet other swords all the time and they weren't a one use item.
If I'm correct, the judges actually have fairly small hands, they frequently complain about big handles.
The way he said "hanging like a chewing gum" cracked me up
What's better than the actual show, how the competitors treat their fellow competitors. Comrade, respect and encouragement.
These are awesome swords! I want one now! 😀
Scott's only about 40 mins out from me. Now I gotta try to get in touch and see what he can teach me.
I loved Scott's winning reflections to the achievement :D
You can tell the contestants are so excited to be told their blade will “keel”.
This was so close, both amazing swords. I was on the edge of my seat when the judges were deciding
i love how satisfied doug by the weight is you really feel it inside him
I love how the two competitors are just having a good time watching that pig get obliterated
6:06 mostly like abdominal congestion sound
Both these guys ... chill Asf !
اللهم إن في القدس أبطال فاحفظهم وثبت أقدامهم 🇵🇸 وإن في غزة جيوشا فسدد رميهم وانصرهم نصرا عزيزا ❤
My best phrases in this program are It will kill It will cut And you are the forged in fire champion 😊😊 Very interesting program.
This was a great episode in my opinion. Great sportsmanship and blades all around
This episode is really a neck to neck competition between two skillfull blade smiths👌👍
4:23 That was the best fist bump i've seen on tv
Great episode!!
Wow.. nice job on those guards. Great build, both of you.
This was by far my favorite episode love both of the .
4:50 I love the way they both are like "Wuuuu"
That might be one of the most relatable way to describe a feeling💯😂
2:40 what a cute doggo
You know it’s going to be a good one when the testing starts before the halfway point
I really lile this show, but honestly, i think sometimes they should get someone, who knows how to fight with that specific sword.
Yea not really gonna work. Many weapons of old no longer have masters of them. Take a look at asian weapons more towards Japanese. You would think dougs training would know how to use them. Not based the displays and formal videos out there about them. Youll see often the baseball type swing. This simply isnt common during sword use.
@@1014p no it isn't but there's more than enough people who know how to use European swords, HEMA et cetera, so at least for the European ones... I know what you mean though. Doug's training is good for Asian stuff and Philippino stuff, but not for Europe stuff
They legitimately could have shared first place this time. They were both excellent.
Doug had so much fun doing that 7:45
Yes. I'm happy for that guy.
You can tell those fellas are gonna be friends forever, regardless of who wins, by the way they get along.
in germany some call du sack (you sack of) for dussack/dussage before fighting on stage
I love how people in this show is super kind, they have lost but they are so happy with his sword and with the other sword 😁
what i like is that theses guys really look like they're having a good time, no stress no pressure, just two smithes having fun
These guys were just wholesome
For some reason I really like that technique where they slam the blade into a curved log to put a curve in the blade.
Now this was a good episode
Imagine being the guy that has clean the weapons between tests
When they were cutting the pig with the second guy's dussage and both the contestants were like little kids getting excited lol, heartwarming.
Wow, they both did excellent! And what a spunky no fuss pair these two! :)
Scott made a beautiful blade.
the first one really feels the champion :D
Both these dudes, even though in competition are hyping each other up... Total bro moment...
Both these guys pass the vibe check.
Those 2 are so chills I wanna have beer with them
I enjoy watching this show. Wish I had tools to do cool things.
Those were two amazing swords.
Both of them are awesome. They respect each other. Most importanly, their sword , it will keeel 😂
10:08 - That woke me up.
Hands down the best match up yet
