I like the way you kept the cracked before chair alongside the one being repaired. Great contrast
These are the most relaxing videos I've ever seen -- I could watch them all day! They remind me of Bob Ross, that guy on public television who paints the landscapes.
So true
This is amaZing
Great job 👏 👏 Very descriptive - and very informative …. Many thanks for the share 👍
Thank you for showing the COMPLETE instructions.
Master level explanation! Obviously you guys not only know how to do it, but you also have a passion for it. Thank you! 👍
Can you give an example of what to do if the dye color isn’t an exact/close match to the leather that needs to be repaired? Thanks.
Thank you for an incredibly articulate presentation and for the constant guidance and tips. I have learned so much from you..
I love this guy , great products and excellent tutorials.
Super impressive (just with the initial application). Thank you for your content!!! 🤓🤓🤓
youre a wonderrful and patient teacher!
I have some questions if you dont mind: I just saw your other video with crackling leather (the tan chair) but you added the filler first. What determines when the sofa needs filler and dye or just dye only? Also, I have deep rips on the arm even the foam is slightly ripped. Is that okay? Another thing, some eejit tried to dye the sofa but got the wrong colour! I got it like this, is there anything can be done? The dye they used is more like a reddish colour when the sofa is more of a brownish colour. Can the dye be applied on top no problem? Do you ship the the UK? Thanks and apologies for the many questions
This looks incredible! You just got yourself a customer!
That is a very impressive presentation. How durable is the repair over time? Are there any warranties?
I dont have any leather o repair but was transfixed with the video. Excellent job explaining everything!
Wow thank you for this thorough video, explanation, and information!
Moved house but leather chair which has rarely been used and was in the attic (converted to a room) is faded with sunlight. Would i use the filler that or would dye be fine? Also the chair is brown and want to match it up to a green 2 seater. How would i go about getting the exact shade of green? Thank you!
Wow! What an amazing explanation. Thank you and God bless 🙏
I have used their products and they are great! I dyed my brown leather chair and ottoman with the Blue B and it came out beautiful. Everybody thinks I bought it blue.
Thank you for the amazing video , very clear explanations
Mind blown. Amazing craftsmanship.
Wow ! Truly blowing away Thank you Kind Sir What's your thoughts on Fusion Mineral leather paint ? It is advertised to be used with paint brush leaving no strokes and providing really thick coat each time meaning you can one coat to Finnish lots of times ?
Beautiful work
I love this video. I have a piece of leather missing from a vintage Coach bag that I'm tempted to get leather filling to repair. Your thoughts??
I noticed that you demonstrate the repair on hard leather surface and it looks really great. How it would work on pillow like soft leather hand rest chair?
This is fantastic 🙏 thanks
Also recommend for car leather seat? My car usually park under sun
That is amazing. Great job
Wow!! You are great at your profession 👍👊👊
I have a couch, Similar to one you did in this video. So i want to do dye, Let Dry. Filler Let dry, and then Dye again. Correct ?
Thanks for the video. Where can I buy a bunch of those sponge pads? Thanks!
beautiful work
I have a leather chair that arrived new with an inch long cut. Does a cut that penetrates through the leather need to be sewn shut? Or can a filler still work?
Thank you for sharing your knowledge now I can fix my couch
I have a sectional w four recliners on it. It's microfiber with leather around the complete back sides and leg part. The leather is torn bad on the legs, I really want to wait on buying another couch so do you think you product would work for me? And if so can you do a tutorial on it for me. I would really appreciate it.
What a great job. Very clearly explained. Is there any chance the dye could come off? (Say onto your clothes)
Once you do this can you still clean the lounge without damaging the paint and filler?
Hi. This is encouraging to see. Im wondering how to match up the right colour for my sofas. They are blue leather but like a royal blue/navy. Any advice as likely the products to purchase are online.
Wow, beautiful!
Great video! Very informative!
What kind of products he is using? Thank you
saving me from 6 years in the past. thanks
Could I apply the kit to repair the black seats to an old land cruiser that is almost always driven on open air?
Your video motivated me to repair a 20 year-old couch. It now looks almost brand new. The repairs were easier than I expected. Thank you.
Hi there, did you use these products for the repair ?
@@elizabethguevara1307 I used Laether Flexifill from Furniture Clinic and Leather Max for the color repair.
@@powerspeakingpro6606thanks! I want to try this but not can’t justify spending this much on his products yet until I know I can do it successfully on something small
Amazing!
What was used for the first step - cleaning- ? How much do we need to clean it? Are we supposed to remove the shiney top coat sealer first before dying? Ty
Beautiful amazing
Would this filler be compatible with Colorbond paints/dye?
Great tutorial!
thank you so much. 👍👍
I need orange, do you carry bright orange??
Great video thanks
Can you use this product on leather handbags? Also how do I purchase?
Impressive. Just bought a massive leather sectional. I have no idea how to clean and/or maintain it. I put covers on the seat parts to avoid scratches.. 🤷🏻♂️
Thank you so much for your great video! I’m going to hold my breath and try to repair my sofa…..
Hi there, what product you suggest to repair a couch that is peeling a lot ?
Can I use lexol on the repaired part?
This is so cool! Can you do this on leather bags and boots also? I assume so just smaller amounts needed
do you do oxblood colours?
Could you mix some of the dye into the filler first so that it isn't so light-colored when you apply the coats of dye?
I think that's a great idea to mix color in the filler I was thinking that too, look me up on Facebook for important information
I would probably say it wouldn't be a good idea. I think it could interfere with the strength and adhesion of the filler. This is just a guess on material science knowledge and not experience with this particular product though.
What did you use to clean it?
If you have a rip or large several rips do you need glue?
Thanks for shareing
How do I get the exact color?
Excellent video. I’m gonna place my order through your web
Just curious as to how you cleaned it Before you got too work on it
Can I use a different dye to change the color?
just finished my couches and love this! How long do you wait to put the sealer on?
Wow¡ thank you¡
Something new i learned today
It's like Spackle for furniture!
Good job man 🥃🍾
I SPILLED HAIR DYE AND WHEN I TRIED TO WIPE IT OFF IT REMOVED THE LEATHER DYE SO NOW I HAVE A BIG SPOT ON MY COUCH.
very helpfull
Unbelievable!! Is there any way you can offer a much smaller size of your leather filler? I just need it to make a few VERY small repairs, and I can't justify the $40+$12shipping. Thanks!
That was fantastic and very informative. I only hope I can purchase the products here in the UK. Thank you so much.
Did you find any equivalent products in the UK?
@@Tossphate Hi yes I did thanks. I purchased something from Amazon UK
@@michaeldynesdynesis3534 could you please tell me what it was and if it was any good? I'm looking to restore my leather chesterfield and don't want to botch it up. Thanks
Can u use on Faux or Vynil??.. My sofa is faux leather... small holes... tu !!!😊
Impressive, I need a whole kit but I'm in the Philippines. Do you ship to the Philippines?
can this work on big rips
Does anyone know if this will work on leather seats in a truck or the dashboard and glove box from having a dog and the nails of the dog making dogs in the front dash?
But won’t it be difficult to get as good a match in colour as in the video? Is there some kind of colour matching service or something? If not, I would think to get a good finish like this you would normally have to do the entire chair? Would love to know other people’s thoughts
not really as if you dye the entire couch it can just change its colour entirely.
Good work
Will this work on vinyl
WELL DONE...., THANKS 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Can I submit a picture of the damaged area to get advise on which products are best?
+Peter Stycos Absolutley, e-mail us some photos in normal lighting conditions from 5 or 6 feet away. We will inspect the photos and provide you with our recommendations. E-mail to : info@leathertouchupdye.com Thank you for choosing www.LeatherTouchupDye.com
I am watching this.video on May 2022, do you still sell these products? Thank You.
Is there anywhere that would come do this for me, or take it away to be done. Thank you
Dam I need this
Love your repair kit! Can you tell me how to choose the correct color of dye for my couch repair?
From another comment reply: "E-mail us some photos in normal lighting conditions from 5 or 6 feet away. We will inspect the photos and provide you with our recommendations. E-mail to : info@leathertouchupdye.com" (Many competitors ship a variety pack of many colors for mixing up the exact shade one needs, however it would appear that those are mostly of much lower quality.)
Can this be used with Faux leather ?
May I know the exact products they used ?

Once you have done a repair and sealed it, can you still use leather conditioner to moisturise the repaired area as well as the rest of the chair.
Hello Scott , this is a very good question. The truth of the matter is that over oiling or over conditioning will damage leather. We would recommend conditioning Leather once every 5 to 7 years. If you live in Arizona or a very dry environment, perhaps every 3 years. If Leather is over conditioned, or if body oils have saturated the leather the fibres within the hide will start to relax and pull apart. This causes Leather to stretch from body weight and heat and eventually rip in areas. Also, when applying conditioners to the surface of leather they should soak into the hide, and not lay upon the surface where they will attract dirt and be sticky. We have a very light conditioner that does an excellent job of penetration, and does not leave the surface sticky. Once you have refinished your leather, using our leather repair kits, the finish is now fully and completely protected. This means any spills on the leather can be easily wiped off, and all the wear and abuse will be transferred to the sealer or protective topcoat. If you apply oils or conditioners to the surface, you will be compromising the protective capabilities of the finishes, and if you have used our leather repair filler, the conditioners can seep into the cured filler and lessen the strength of the filler. That being said, if you want to do anything to your furniture, we would recommend wet cleaning, which means gently cleaning your furniture once a month with our cleaner, and then re-applying a protective topcoat, which is our leather protector once every 8 to 12 months . We would recommend to discontinue using a conditioner, perhaps once only 5 to 7 years.. Thank you for choosing www.LeatherTouchupDye.com
Wow where you based I'm in durban
BRAVO
Do you remove the tacks/nailheads?
Where can i but this product ?
I'm not sure what kind of leather my chair is. How can I tell?
Awesome
I ordered but was not able to note the color I need, which is dark brown.
Where to buy the filler
Does the leather filler come in a tube? It just seems more difficult to scoop it out versus squirting it into cracks and tears.
Hello our leather repair filler comes in a 1oz or 2oz wide mouth jar - very easy to apply. If it did come in a tube and you squeezed too much out its very difficult to get it back into the tube- its real easy to put it back into a jar! Thank you for the great question !
