  • I'm Japanese puzzle lover, and this is translation of the sentences on back of package. Sorry for poor English skills. 『はずる(English spell "Hazuru")』is that puzzles for adults who use "flash" and "logic" to solve them. Your mission is to solve and to reassemble. It's simple but profound. Let's try it through using your brain and hands to the fullest :) This has simple appearance, cool design unlike other puzzles and extremely simple movements. It's good for put in your pocket and play with cool. This is designed by Vesa Timonen in Finland

    • Thank you, masaki! It's always good to see a real translation from a real person, and not some strange version from a Google Translate algorithm. If things still seem a bit 'odd' to many of us English-speakers, it's because there's just as big a gap between Japanese and (in my case) English culturally as there is linguistically. A lot of language-use involves forms, idiom and colloquialisms which only make sense after years of daily use. I speak a little bit of French and German learned in school, and a tiny bit of Swahili (which I picked up from the time I spent in Kenya in the 1970s). The only way for someone like me to understand the subtleties of Japanese, Chinese, Portuguese or Klingon would be to learn the language properly. But I'm not clever enough to do that, masaki... GAIJIN DESU! :-)

      @EleanorPeterson@EleanorPeterson4 жыл бұрын
    • @@EleanorPeterson I agree about having a real translation as opposed to something like Google. A human translator can assess the meaning, emotion and intent in a foreign language and rewrite it to have the same effect (usually in English). Direct word-for-word translations are better than nothing but almost all the subtlety and implication is gone.

  • I'm new to puzzling and this took me almost exactly an hour to solve. It's satisfying to test the rotation of the disc in the center against the slide bars in various places. Once you dismantle it the solution becomes very apparent and you can immediately start doing time trials or fidgeting with the full solve. A very enjoyable and neat puzzle, worth the money.

  • Hi Mr Puzzle, I used Google translate to see what the Japanese symbols on the box said, although I couldn't see them perfectly. What I got for the first part was 'Swordsman Tororo Sarome Sa to Lotte...' but stopped at the complicated ones. Strangely enough, by erasing the last symbol (which didn't look right anyway) it became 'I'll take it'.
