  • Thank you for properly configuring your printer settings. Watching all those other stringy timelapse messes has really started to bother me to no end. Yours are SO satisfying to watch and the prints look great. :)

  • Imagine 2:00 - but its not just a balance game, but also some form of chess, with pieces that move in defferent ways, and capture each other, all the while you have to avoid being the one to make the board fall off.

  • How do you get good adhesion with that metal plate? I have the same one and nothing sticks to it lol

    • Clean with alcohol, then try hair spray, glue sticks. Different mats might work better for different types of prints too. There's no rule that restricts you to one kind of mat.

    • @@jamesfowley4114thanks! I did end up going back to that plate and using glue stick and it does get great adhesion now. Also printing rhe first layer at 10-15mm/s really helps, especially if there are a lot of smaller areas on the first layer.

    • Different people with give you different answers. My opinion is if you want a printer you can take out of the box and it works well without tweaking and tinkering, look at the Bambulab A1. If you spend less on a printer than the A1, expect it to need some tweaking to get it printing well. You can spend much more on a printer than the A1, and also less, but I think it's very good value if it's affordable to you. When watching reviews do bear in mind that many are paid, and the reviews that some of the cheaper printers have, are by people who have been given a printer that has had extra attention paid to it by the factory before shipping out for review.

    • There are a lot of good printers. I'd look for one that can do the first layer stuff (leveling / z offset) automatically. Bambu is very competitive, but it's a closed ecosystem like Apple. Creality is cheap, but not for heavy use. Prusa has been around for many years and their printers will last, but tend to be expensive. If you absolutely love to tinker and assemble things yourself, Vorons are very good.

    • Cheap: Elegoo Neptune 3 Pro/Plus. For mid range: Bambu Lab A1/P1P/P1S. High End consumer grade, no contest the Bambu Lab X1C. Best Value overall would be the Elegoo Neptune Plus range of printers, sub $500 price tag for some massive machines.
