Shows how vital a vocal keeper can be, and how stressful it can be, having to keep yourself focused and ready all the time potentially without seeing or touching the ball for long periods of time. My interview for secondary school, the teacher found out I was playing keeper at the time, and he said keepers have to be mad, for some reason that has always stuck with me

I saw some comments during the match that he should have saved Aston Villa’s goal which is stupid! He had a decent debut! More secure that Runnarson! 🔴⚪️

He should have saved it. The ball trickled past him. Good keepers would have had the ability to save that. He played well after the goal but he is ultimately to blame for losing.

Had Holding been closer to his man like a good defender should be, Watkins wouldn't have got the shot off. Blame should be in his department after Cedrics initial mess up.

Solid debut for Matt Ryan and a shame he was let down by poor defending for Villa's goal. Objectively, this video is really insightful - goalkeepers play such a crucial role in keeping players aware of opposition threats and potential passing options for teammates. Although it may seem obvious to do so, I was impressed that he communicated in Portuguese/Spanish to Gabriel, who's obviously still uncomfortable speaking English at the moment. More of this content please, Video Manager! 👏
