He wasn’t as nervous on stage anymore. Honestly, it wasn’t until I watched this video that I noticed how much his hands shook and how tense he was when he sang during the first year or so. Frat Boy Harry was definitely a lot more confident, and it was such a great aesthetic

Singing on the ground is actually munch easier than when standing up, because abdominal breathing (or breathing with the stomach) is munch more easier. I always lay on a flat platform when I practice belting or a new song. I feel munch more comfortable like that and I busted some insane notes that way. It of course also helps with straight posture. Both of those things are important when singing

I think that was the biggest change. When you look at his early performances, you can see how nervous he was.. hands shaking, muscle tension, etc (which I can relate to completely.. x10). So, I don’t think we were ever really hearing him at his best at the time until around 2013 or 2014.

I was never into 1 direction. I didn’t give a damn when they split up & went in more than 1 direction. Harry Styles singing Sign of the times blew my freaking mind. I was instantly a fan. His voice is ridiculously fantastic. Live in concert he is fantastic. Then I started listening to some 1 direction music & some of it was pretty good. Still prefer Harry on his own though. For Harry Styles his 1 direction is ⬆️

Going through those years were 1D was a thing were hard for us as family , including my kids that were teens. We heard abt them but didn't know or care due to the situation. A decade later I listen watermelon and got obsessed with the song, looked up the singer and discover all the deal it was. Magnificent!! The whole thing from 1D to today its extraordinary. Thank God for giving us such a wonderful human beings.

Just watching him through the years, not only does his voice ,skill and stage presence improve ,but he definitively emerges as the leader of this band. It's very apparent he was destined for greater things, and he has lived up to that promise. His passion for his music and his humble gratitude for his success is very apparent. As I am entirely too damn old for Boy Band stuff (old enough that I'm most steeped in music from the Black Sabbath/Grand Funk Railroad/Genesis/Peter Gabriel/Joni Mitchell/Eagles/CSNY 70s era, though I love most music from any time) I am so GRATEFUL these talented young men hung in there and did their thang to such a high level. Harry Styles (from his long hair time-YUM!) is now old enough so I can permit a warm thought to rustle through to my cold dead heart. Major blessing. Harry's astounding maturity, kindness, empathy and casually comfortable sexuality drew me to look more into One Direction, and really. Holy crap. It's quite a story-an evolutionary Game of Thrones in some ways. I have NO IDEA how these young lads kept themselves as together as they did. Mind blowing, really. 15/16 years old... just wow. You have to LOVE it, and they did and they do, and HARRY graduated from lead singer/heartthrob to superstar. He is one of those people like Diana, Princess of Wales, or Springsteen or Sting onstage (WHAT A PRIVILEGE)... there are only a very few people who are such beacons. I was privileged to see rock shows in 1971 at the Capitol Theater in NJ with performers just starting out that are still somewhat famous today: Yes, Grateful Dead, Johnny Winter/Edgar Winter, Leon Russell, Small Faces (Rod Stewart), The Band. So I think when I say wow that kid can SING, I am going on decades of exposure to brilliant musicians. He just has TALENT and a huge heart and some very interesting ways to express himself. Just a very cool dude and I plan to enjoy his progress as an actor, performer & voice of a generation. I am also REALLLLY enjoying the JONAS BROTHERS new stuff. My head is seriously blown, I tell ya. I don't recognize this timeline any more. Just happy to have KZhead to show me what I been missing. Sending to anyone who reads this little note: a whole bunch of sparkling pink bubbles of joy. You so deserve it! Loving life in every moment.

I was too old for boy bands by the time one direction came out, but I'm obsessed with Harry now. His newest songs, like Golden and As it Was, remind me of the 70's and 80s while still having their own unique sound. He is so talented and truly unique. He reminds me of Elton John somewhat as well, with a mix of David Bowie.

My original boy band crush was Duran Duran when I was 16 years old if that dates me at all! Oh my God I’m so in love with Harry Styles. What amazing charisma and talent. I’m so happy to see a musician/ artist, not using autotune and overdubbing and all that new tech crap. He has absolute amazing raw talent. So incredible! What hooked me was his video for “adore you” and then just snowballed from there

Singing on the ground is actually munch easier than when standing up, because abdominal breathing (or breathing with the stomach) is munch more easier. I always lay on a flat platform when I practice belting or a new song. I feel munch more comfortable like that and I busted some insane notes that way. It of course also helps with straight posture. Both of those things are important when singing

I think that was the biggest change. When you look at his early performances, you can see how nervous he was.. hands shaking, muscle tension, etc (which I can relate to completely.. x10). So, I don’t think we were ever really hearing him at his best at the time until around 2013 or 2014.

I was never into 1 direction. I didn’t give a damn when they split up & went in more than 1 direction. Harry Styles singing Sign of the times blew my freaking mind. I was instantly a fan. His voice is ridiculously fantastic. Live in concert he is fantastic. Then I started listening to some 1 direction music & some of it was pretty good. Still prefer Harry on his own though. Harry Styles (from his long hair time-YUM!) is now old enough so I can permit a warm thought to rustle through to my cold dead heart. Major blessing. Harry's astounding maturity, kindness, empathy and casually comfortable sexuality drew me to look more into One Direction, and really. Holy crap. It's quite a story-an evolutionary Game of Thrones in some ways. I have NO IDEA how these young lads kept themselves as together as they did. Mind blowing, really. 15/16 years old... just wow. You have to LOVE it, and they did and they do, and HARRY graduated from lead singer/heartthrob to superstar. He is one of those people like Diana, Princess of Wales, or Springsteen or Sting onstage (WHAT A PRIVILEGE)... there are only a very few people who are such beacons. I was privileged to see rock shows in 1971 at the Capitol Theater in NJ with performers just starting out that are still somewhat famous today: Yes, Grateful Dead, Johnny Winter/Edgar Winter, Leon Russell, Small Faces (Rod Stewart), The Band. So I think when I say wow that kid can SING, I am going on decades of exposure to brilliant musicians. He just has TALENT and a huge heart and some very interesting ways to express himself. Just a very cool dude and I plan to enjoy his progress as an actor, performer & voice of a generation. I am also REALLLLY enjoying the JONAS BROTHERS new stuff. My head is seriously blown, I tell ya. I don't recognize this timeline any more. Just happy to have KZhead to show me what I been missing. Sending to anyone who reads this little note: a whole bunch of sparkling pink bubbles of joy. You so deserve it! Loving life in every moment.

I was too old for boy bands by the time one direction came out, but I'm obsessed with Harry now. His newest songs, like Golden and As it Was, remind me of the 70's and 80s while still having their own unique sound. He is so talented and truly unique. He reminds me of Elton John somewhat as well, with a mix of David Bowie.

My original boy band crush was Duran Duran when I was 16 years old if that dates me at all! Oh my God I’m so in love with Harry Styles. What amazing charisma and talent. I’m so happy to see a musician/ artist, not using autotune and overdubbing and all that new tech crap. He has absolute amazing raw talent. So incredible! What hooked me was his video for “adore you” and then just snowballed from there
