Awp is a huge moneypit if nothing comes of it. We saw Liquid get smashed because cadian’s team was forced on to mp9s instead of rifles to funnel cash for the team awp. He got a grand total of 6 kills that map.

When they fixed the fast peeks, AWP was back full force. Even Boombl4 was awping for C9. Playing against a team that doesn't buy an awp may get you an advantage psychologically.

Yea, just lost AWP-less to Mouz nxt, an academy team. Awp-less on Overpass and also Inferno is just such a disadvantage that i refuse to believe this meta will happen. You need stellar riflers and an Overpass permaban...and then maybe it could work. But just the fact that the other team knows that an AWP is unlikely just saves so much utility when clearing territory. All that and peekers advantage got nerfed too...Nop, not gonna work in the long run.
