  • "To what do I owe this brilliant deconstruction of the Gregorian calendar?" is such a believably Sorkinese line I screamed

  • He forgot one of the most important aspect of any Sorkin sketch: every single character (whether the VP or the janitor) is the smartest person in the room, has never been wrong, and three steps ahead of whatever it is the other person has to say. Sorkin can be incredibly and sanctimonious, but I’ll be the first to admit that I can’t quit the guy. He’s my guilty pleasure

    @latinolawdog5067@latinolawdog50676 жыл бұрын
    • It's too bad West Wing was his only show that really took off. I know most of them are appreciated after the fact, but they all got cancelled too soon. RIP: Sports Night, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, The Newsroom. Your final 5 seasons will forever be missed!

    • How does this comment have so many likes when it's blatantly wrong? Every single conversation has a pre-determined endpoint; he just thinks of the most creative way to reach it. Every single argument has a winner. His screenplays have some of the biggest burns in film and TV. Grow up in a big city and you realize that everyone is the stupidest and smartest person in the world. You're guilty about liking one of the best writers in the world because you don't realize that he's one of the best writers in the world. Congratulations.

  • The funniest part of about this is not the sketch itself which is great. It's that Sorkin sees all these sketches, parodies of him, appreciates them ( The Sorkinism video) and continues to do the same style of writing without even trying to write in a different way😂.

  • I like this show, it's edgier than the others, with the possible exception of Colbert, and his guests are more interesting, he has writers on, novelists, instead of just show-biz types.

    @siltom1962@siltom19627 жыл бұрын
    • Uh-huh? So Mr Meyers never has non-“show-biz types” on his baby, unlike CBS®' ongoing "The Late Show®" iteration? Odd that! Regardless, *suffer through this trivia:* That makes sense.. Because Mr Colbert's CBS® gig used to air in my country till a year or two ago. Mr Meyers' never has! The neo-TWDC® owned "network" in my country-of-residence used to air the former's, but they stopped not-too-long after he found his _calling_ in mocking the then-sister concern FOX® News' darling, "President Dotard".( In fairness, they did try to promote it, though - by including one or two of the early responses to the President's Twitter® taunts as trailers.) 'Coincidentally', around the same time when the said "network" decided to "cancel" "picking-up" more seasons of ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert®’, the now-"Home of (SHO)WTIME®" rival, which is essentially part of the 'Indian FOX®-News Corp® type' multinational empire - "picked-up" ongoing "The Late Late Show®" iteration over-the-air after amazon®'s waning interest for "renewing" SVOD rights.
