This was a fun new lens for us to test out, and thank you to @TTArtisan for sending us a copy.
Not only is it sharp, provides 2:1 reproduction AND has Tilt-Shift functionality!
Here's how we got on.

Spectacular images! Quite the interesting lens. Thank you for sharing with us. 📷☕️
For those who haven't used a TS lens, it might be useful to demonstrate the shots that you get without the lens tilted, vs shots that are tilted, to show that added depth of field. I've used Nikon's 85mm 2.8D TS for close-up (just .5x, but still better than most lenses), and it's quite effective.
Very nice sympatic format, keep on going.
I’m not a big macro fan but I LOVE shooting flowers. My favorite go to is my 85mm with an extension tube (and I own the F 105mm). Tripods slow me down and I don’t use massive f stops because trying to get the whole flower in focus doesn’t add to the beauty, imho. The tilt shift could be fun when you can’t shoot directly at your subject and for table top, paired with the ZF and it’s pixel shift, you could have an edge In product shots! Lovely Dahlia and Cosmos flicks Becky!👍🏾
Beautiful garden!
I bought one of these last year for my (cough Fuji X-System) and it is a very interesting piece of kit. Not for everyday use of course but it does have its place.
Great Video as always! I think Debbie is kind of a Stiff and Sickly Green! Cheers!
And does she move closer when you blink ? 😂
Got my Zf and using a lot of MF or older lenses with it. This one looks interesting if I wanted to try macro with 2x magnification on it. For now I am playing with a 35mm Zeiss Distagon. Love the extra MF aids on the Zf and now that I have the small rig grip it is an absolute delight.
informative video
good review Becky, but at 6:41 I would have to disagree with you there, you CAN'T use the 105mm z mount lens ( the MC designation) hand held for macro!, the AFD lens you CAN, but for some reason (physics) this lens captures any vibrations and magnifies them a heck of a lot more than the dslr lens does, even at the same f-stop and focus setting. the ONLY way I could focus and get a sharp shot is on sticks, and using a 2 sec. self timer mode!!, then it's still-life sharp.
Thanks for the video, but I bought this lens a month ago and then had my order cancelled by them because they “will probably no longer sell this item” !! I have now ordered a Fotodiox tilt/shift adapter (F to Z) so I can tilt/shift beyond 85mm...
I wonder how and if the Nikkor 19mm f/4 ED tilt-shift would work with the FTZ adapter and any of the z mount cameras?
Is this also a100 mm normal lens like the sigma 105 macro can be use as
I love my Nikon Z105MM f2.8 MC VR macro lens and often use it for landscapes as well as flowers and insects. This tilt shift faffing around might not suit me.
how about an old 35 2.8/pc with a TC-201 on a D2x. Basic.
I'd think the Zf with IBIS would be a good companion for this lens. Could you compare it to the Nikon 85mm P.C. lens w/FTZ? 🙂 Also, any word on the release date and details on the secret 35mm f1.2? 🤫
I second the motion on comparing it to the Micro Nikkor 85 PC-E.
🇺🇸⭐️🇹🇷💯👍
I gotta say. The z9 have the worst. And I mean the worst focus peaking. Z7 and z72 is far superior. The z9 is wayyy too bright. Even in low settings.
