I’m ready for Crown to start winning again
Me toooooooooooooo!!!!
They need more trumpet screams
Reps For Jesus no they don’t
Jayy MilL you are right the blue devils need more trumpet screams
Reps For Jesus they need to clean that guard up if anything
my favorite part of this is that at 1:43, they're so in tune that one of the overtones sounds like a trumpet screaming a double G
MOS3 knowing crown I wouldn’t doubt it
@@ChiptuneDCI I keep seeing this comment and I want to reply that but I always skip by it and forget.
@@ChiptuneDCI they definitely do, it's just overtones they don't mic them and have them stick out on purpose tho
These are seriously great modern uniforms- they make the performers all look 6'2
6'2 or 62? The collars are straight out of Dorothy's wardrobe from Golden Girls.
Seriously, I thought they were wearing stilts at first lol
A lot of it has to do with how the performers present themselves. I was taught to always stand tall and powerful at drum corps. It has a bigger effect than you would think.
@@Yoshi-uz2oeall corps teach this. The uniforms and membership/staff talent are what distinguishes the effect
There’s no other sound like this and there will never be 🔥❤️🎺😍 So lucky I got to be a part of this corps ❤️#inmymind
DCIaddict2601 ANTONIO YOURE MY IDOL
DCIaddict2601 what year?
Brian Pickler 2016
Michael Denise ❤️
So lucky I got to march this show #inmymind
When people say BD does weird shows and crown comes out with this.
Joel Zapata lmao
Felliniesque - A retrospective of the absurd characters in Fellini's film and life. Ink - With these fairy tales, children can teach us to listen again. As Dreams Are Made On - Glimpses from Shakespeare's The Tempest. Metamorph - The history of the Blue Devils' transformation in 13 minutes. What would be weird is if Blue Devils came out with a show that didn't have a Broadway quality, rock solid theme and premise.
Jesu Spectre any years before that and it would be a different story I think
Re-write of Spring should have been called, "phoning it in with unsatisfying abstraction, here's a prehistoric elephant tusk."
Jesu Spectre oh so that’s what ink and felliniesque is about? That’s news to me I just thought they were throwing shit on the field and hoping it came across
crown has the best hornline hands down
it is.
Wyatt Allen oh yeah yeah
*I K N O W Y O U*
Pay attention to the field from beginning to end, the detail of the uniforms, and you will realize this was a show full of genius. It hit me on finals night.
Keyo Wilson I don't get it
Keyo Wilson why? Other than the lines
That mello pickup at 0:39 is so HOT.
These drums are tuned great. Love how they cut through the ensemble
Holy f**k that contra sound at the very beginning. I've been watching DCI videos for a couple years now and have been in love with Crown but that is a godly sound I haven't heard before.
They always have the best most unified sound
1:31 man...do I hear hammers dropping?
I can hear Matt Harloff’s grunt in the middle of it lol
I wish they would start selling those sledgehammers lol
You could definitely tell they lost their CG staff to Boston. This show grew on me as the season progressed. That brass though never fails to impress.
shmiller70 I was thinking the same thing.
Yes. That flag work is a mess. Weapons aren't bad, though. Brass is lit.
Boston’s 2017 show tho 😳😳😳
Why did they leave crown to Boston?
@@T0mat0_S0up they wanted to do something different.
How this show didn’t take all is beyond me. It’s incredible
Damn this hornline looks as good as their show in 2013
They won the Jim Ott for 2017
Yep. 19.9 in brass I believe, close to the 20.0 they got in 2013
Wish I would've heard this one at an outdoor show. I got to hear Beast outdoors and it sounded incredible. I was near the 30 yd line at prelims in 2017. I dunno...apparently you have to be near the 50 indoors to get the full effect (?).
That horns down at the end to carry is smooth. Could you imagine blowing down the biggest arena in sports and not even snap your horn. Just smoothly down to carry
F i n a l l y, a high quality finals video
Best mistake of my life: turning the volume of my headphones to the max and letting crown rip at 1:31.
Arguably the most perfect show chunk ever
Crown pulling a Blue Knights 2016 looking one-legged on the field.
the line at the beginning is almost exactly same as the hit in crowns 2009 closer when they play slalom, what a weird coincidence.
1:35 that basement note tho!!
They were just in my town practicing. It was heckin awesome
Probably one of my favorite, if not my favorite hits in dci. If only the last 2/3 of the show wasn't focused on a vocalist
Mark Aaronson well...her vocal parts are kinda what defines the show
you're right but when I watch DCI, i watch it to hear the hornline and percussion for those amazing moments like in this video. If I wanted to hear a singer, I would go listen to a singer. Not to say that she was bad because she has a very good voice, it just isn't enjoyable to me in this setting.
Mark Aaronson well sir I'm sorry that Carolina Crown doesnt design their shows specifically for you. Plus, the singing is only in 3 minutes of their 12 minute show so...
Erick Veloz alright man no need to be rude, I'm just stating my opinion (if that's even allowed in today's world). it does seem though that the majority of people agree that singing shouldn't be the main course of a competition about marching band. I don't mind singing incorporated into shows but when the hornline takes the backseat to it, it doesn't seem right, especially cause Crown has the best hornline in DCI. Crowns own E=mc^2 is a perfect example of the incorporation, where it's just there for extra effect.
Mark Aaronson I would argue that the singing in this show makes more sense than in e=mc2. The singing in this show actually makes a difference because the lyrics are a big part of the meaning behind the show. In 2013 they were singing about "the sailboat" just because the source material was "Einstein on the beach"
Love this hornline!
What an amazing show I love it
It was so cool today i got to work with their main drum major
Wow, nice Old Skool POWER....
Hot damn 😳
Please tell me someone saw that one guy at 0:47-0:48 throw his horn into the air(around the 20yd line).
Why does it say HD but it still looks like 720?
#flowmarchingstreaming
1st Mellophone part at 0:04 is NUTS
strongest high C from a corps i've heard
I feel so horrible saying but I have loved this corps for so long and this year just let me down somehow. I get the concept but like the song from " A chorus line" ...and I felt nothing... I hope this is just a trajectory hiccup that all corps have.
I absolutely love this show now tbh... at first I didn’t get it but reading up about it it’s pure genius. The music is good, the percussion is awesome, the way the field is staged is amazing
Hi Ross
0:50 uhhhhh uhhhhh uhhhh... did snare line just dab?!
Hayden M. Yes!😂
Strongest Contra line imo
it's
I wish their color guard would have been better!
I honestly love how Crown always has cool looking hats every year. Just saying
where the trumpet screams at tho
Andy Crown doesn’t do that. You don’t win Otts with screamers. You win Otts with your mellos.
They should rename the show "It's is..."
How do they manage to look like the drill animations😭
I came here just for 1:33
Yeah I like it but Metamorph
Crown likes to wear pointy stuff on their heads
Really good program. Just felt.... weak, at Finals. Like it lacked the drive Vanguard or BD had in their performances. Still, excellent work.
Elijah Lurton Lol
Hornline playing was awesome... But let's leave the crazy choreo too Bloo, ok? lmao
Kenny Sper But Crown and Bd have incorporated choreo as a major part of their program longer than coats have...love coats but just saying
WHY ON EARTH DO THEY KEEP HAVING DCI IN THIS PIECE OF SHIT BUILDING????? THE ECHO IS HORRIBLE.
Is it just me, or are those uniforms killing them visually?
Crowd was super underhyped for the company front, dissapointing
