My Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes movie review is officially here! In this movie review of the new Planet of the Apes reboot, we will be talking about why Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is the best movie in the (reboot) franchise, why Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is worst movie in the (reboot) franchise, and why I was both happy and disappointed walking out of the theater after watching the newest entry in the Planet of the Apes franchise.
After the Caesar (played by Andy Serkis) Planet of the Apes Trilogy (Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, and War for the Planet of the Apes) captivated audiences around the world, a lot of us ever wondered if there would be a new Planet of the Apes movie. And when 20th Century Fox announced that they were returning to this franchise, I didn’t know what to think.
Wes Ball was not my first choice for rebooting the Planet of the Apes movies, but after Nintendo picked him to direct the live action Zelda movie, I became extra curious to see what he would do with Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.
From everything Proximus Caesar to the incredible motion capture, this is my movie review (or video essay) on Why Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is the best (and worst) movie in the (rebooted) franchise!

What Wes Ball did with this movie astounded me! Continuing the story of Caesar by exploring his legacy as an almost religious figure was brilliant. On top of that the VFX were immaculate and the performances just as impressive. An epic return to this world that has me wanting a lot more! Fantastic review

Not for people with short attention spans, shame that applies to most of the younger audience these days
I love me a slow burn, I just think a lot of these scenes drag on for far too long. Maybe my attention span is shorter than Gen Z lol, I appreciate the comment!
