Just curious, Why push the dirt backwards with the back of the bucket ? Im thinking the scoop would take care of it.

It's difficult to get an idea of the size of these buckets without some scale in the footage. If my Mother-in-law stood beside the bucket then I'd get an idea of its capacity.

It’s 90 cubic yards so 2 full-size pickups can fit side by side in it

No its not inefficient, they only pay the dozer operator minimum wage. So they make money.
