Excited about the upcoming Raptor R but the TRX still has my heart … considering purchasing one before that V8 becomes extinct. Such an incredible truck.
The Raptor R is a joke. Ford should’ve crushed the TRX, but they chose to neuter it yet again.

@@scarroll625 Theyre not going to go over the TRX cause Ram and stellantis will just find a way to put the redeye engine on it and still be ahead. Although the raptor’s suspension is still ahead of the TRX.
@@gabem3878 maybe, but 90% of TRX/Raptor owners won’t actually use that suspension for its intended purpose anyway. They should’ve just made it AT LEAST 750 hp just to one-up Ram.
@@scarroll625 I agree! I dont think Ford wanted to crush RAM with the horsepower number in the first place because the 37s alone would slow down the raptor even if its lighter in comparison. Ford intended to give the people what they want and thats the supercharged v8.
I have a 2022 TRX, and if you put the suspension in sport, its still a comfortable ride, but eliminates that “bounce” in the other modes and is more planted without being harsh.

Almost bought a base TRX, but the markups changed our mind. So we bought a new loaded Laramie instead. Incredible truck all the same.
Parents did the same pre-pandemic. Priced out a Taco, fully loaded 10k less than a decently specd 1500. They spent the extra 10k for the ram, based on what you got truck wise for the price.
May be a moot point, however there are dealers offering substantial rebates on TRXs. If they aren’t local to you, the savings is well worth traveling or having it shipped. As an example, Dan Cummins CDJR is offering 4% below invoice pricing for TRXs, ask for Miles Goff or Devin Arnold if interested. Either way, you wound up with a killer truck!
Hey nice video. 2021 Trx owner here. I daily it and love it. I’ve never really noticed the bounciness you’re speaking of but I just use auto and sport mode. I never use the driveway anymore, rather enjoy driving fast through my yard up to the back of the house like I’m some sort of “real off road guy“. Lol

Don’t judge it what I’m about to ask, but, it’s possible to make the supercharger silencer? I absolutely love the TRX design, interior and exterior, but the wine noise, I hate it. Gt500 and corvette’s superchargers are quieter than hellcats’s and I like those.

It's a supercharged 700hp 6500+lb 37" tire 4x4 truck with heavy duty parts with the aerodynamic properties of a brick. Nothing about this truck says 400miles on a single tank, yet the bigger named auto and youtube auto journalist say it's the peak show off of American excessiveness. Nothing about anything from Dodge/Ram of the last decade has said anything other than, you're going to be smiling laughing and having just as much fun for less than the competition. If you want to be seen as "saving the world" buy a Prius, because they were marketed just for that.
Emphasis on "SEEN AS saving the planet". They mine the lithium and cobalt in Canada, they ship it off to Norway where they make batteries out of them, then they ship it off to Japan/ USA/ Germany / Great Britain/ Czech Republic / etc. to build those batteries into the cars.

What's it good for ,shopping truck, I seen it get stuck quite a few times and over on a few different videos, especially in mud flats. This truck is not like the raptor on muddy flats and extreme 4 wheel drive off roading. I cant find a vdio like the raptor on desert road and high rugged hill country. I like a truck for all works.

WHY THE TPMS LIGHT was on ?
I'm on my 3rd Ram, a 5.7 Hemi (probably my last given where Fiat and Stellantis have gone with the brand), and I really love that they came out with the TRX. It's a beautiful truck (except for the grille). But I have to say, I DESPISE the transmission they put on it. Why make an enthusiast/performance truck and pair it with a minivan transmission? It's idiotic. I have the same transmission in my Ram and I absolutely hate it. It's the single worst thing about my truck. The TRX...D E S E R V E D...a manual transmission. And the 1986 Ford Taurus shifter in the center console makes me nauseous every time I see it. To be fair, Ford is guilty of the same thing with the Raptor, but that's no excuse for Dodge/Ram to follow them. I've been a Mopar fan for as long as I can remember, so seeing this makes me both angry and sick at the same time. I truly would've loved to own a TRX, but, despite it being grossly overpriced, I wouldn't be able to stomach driving it with that ridiculous transmission. And there's no MDS on the TRX, so they can't even try to gaslight people about the manual being less efficient, or not being able to handle the power, or any of the other BS/drivel they spew whenever anyone asks them for a manual transmission. Thanks for the excellent review, as always, Miles. Please pardon my utter disappointment and absolute disgust regarding what could have been an amazing truck. I mean, they even f**ked up the freaking flappy paddles on the steering wheel. Just....aaaaaargh!!!

A truck getting 10mpg isn't anything new. Back in the 1970's a buddy had a one ton with a 454 for pulling horse trailers. He got 10mpg empty or loaded..
I'm a little bit curious... Who lets you test drive these cars like this? lol... Cause you really test their capabilities without holding back. And sometimes go through deep water and mud. Do you just return them and say, "welp, sorry. Thanks so much, bye!"? hahaha
