“It’s not in any dog’s nature to be alone” 😭
Oh stop. I teach my dogs as pups to he alone. Not all of us stay home all day, we do work 😅
@@happycanadianfarmer are you perceiving my comment as me not considering that people need to leave their home…? Obviously people have to leave I was expressing a feeling of sadness and empathy for puppies left alone in that moment. Nowhere did I say it’s wrong if you do. What is it with you internet people I’m genuinely concerned you’ve lost your ability to perceive social cues, social context and nuance. If you think you just taught an adult human being that people have to leave their homes, that is genuinely bizarre. Please put down the magnifying glass and pick up a mirror
@@mikeleddyphotosome people just need attention, like puppies
@@mikeleddyphoto Woker alert, beep .. beep ..
@@mikeleddyphoto I am going by your comment stating they shouldn't be alone. I took it from there.
One of my dogs, when I left him alone for the first time, chewed up a book called, “Why Does My Dog Act Like That?” I took photos of the shredded book with the intact cover. I thought it was one of the funniest things I’d ever seen.
Our two Pyrenees puppies once at a book called "A Dog's Purpose." We joke that they learned the secret and ate the book so no one else could know, haha!
I would've tried to get in touch with the author to jokingly send him a "review" of his toughest critic 😀 - Everybody needs a laugh.
It is ;))
As a dog owner of over 40 years, i tech them as pups how to be alone. I start with 5 minutes. I come back in and praise. I do this a few times a day, plus I have them blocked off in a certain area . Then I do it for 15 minutes, come in and praise. Again i do this for a few days. Then i go longer. Also. In a large Kong I put in treats, plain yogurt and fruit. I freeze it the night before. By 5 months they all have free run of the house. 😁
'Ahhh...delicious sweaty rubber boot smell' 😂😂 dogs are so cute and innocent. You just can't punish them.
It was a nice change of pace to hear about a different kind of "wild animal" from BBC Earth!
This is the cuteness overload for the day for me
Well his whimpers got to me
Wow its a beautiful dog
Set up your dogs for success. Removing all items you don't want them to use as play things or targets of destruction; and, giving them appropriate toys & chews when you leave will help them with separation anxiety (all dogs have this, just to varying degrees), & help you by not having to clean up messes & replace destroyed items. Train your dog by giving them appropriate toys & treats, and leave for short periods of time, gradually lengthening that time until your dog is comfortable with your absences. Much praise & affection on your return, and a good walk &/or visit to the dog park to burn off that doggy energy will also help you to bond.
We have a spaniel lab mix doggy. He's the exact same way when we leave for work or have to run errands. He hates it when we leave. As he gets older, he's been getting used to it, but that doesn't make it any easier when I have to make a run to the store.
Well made clip, thanks BBC!
BBC Animals is one of my feel good escapes. Thanks, BBC ♡.
Awwww sweet pup ❤
Magnifique chiot. Très sage. Un Amour. ❤❤❤
I love this! 🙂 It's fun but also taught me some things I didn't know.
Probably because dogs grow up in PACKS and are not meant to be ALONE.
If you get a social type of pet that need companions…. Please get them in pairs or better.
Rule of thumb is usually wait till the first one is about 8+ months and TRAINED. I have 3 dogs. First 2 are a year apart ( 7 and 6 ) new guy is 1.
Broke my heart first time I left her alone lucky the only thing she likes to steal is socks
My dog once regurgitated a sock that had been in his stomach several days. Thankfully he did - it wasn’t going out in any other direction. Never let him steal socks after that.
Cute doggie
Oh such a adorable little guy!
Wow ,, food for thought 😲
ive always hate leaving my dogs alone
Get him a decent bed.
I love this so much a fur baby they act just like KIDS.... At each stage they R just so innocent.love it .....❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂😂
I love it, i like it
❤ 🐕
20 minutes to a dog is 2 hours and 20 minutes to a human
Two words: Crate training
This is such a cute and informative video! ❤🐶🐶
You said what I tried to say. 🙂
Almost cried 😢
🐶🥰
Puppy🐶❤
maybe get him some chewing toys
Has it made the house dirty or not? What has it eaten?
I swear I could hear Rusty saying: "Mama I don't know how this all happened"? Shalom
The camera at the loundry washer got lost at the beginning and end of the video
The tag on the collar has different names and phone numbers in different shots. Not sure how that would have happened.
F,,,ing beautiful bro
He shouldn't be left alone, but if they were planning on doing for the 20, he should have been trained first. Some people use operative conditioning with whistles, others use a kennel and some use a room that is puppy proofed. He could have gotten into something that may have got him sick or worse. Puppies are very clever. I am so happy the narrator said dogs are never meant to be left alone. Too many people get a dog for their own company and forget their dog is left alone most of the day.
Haha 😊😂❤
Why not use the crate?
Give dat Dog some goddamn toys
😘
The ripping up of everything is probably the worst part about having a puppy
i remove or put away all my chewable and leave out paper bags and dog toys for my boy when i leave. he loves to shred sop leaving things out helped save the rug lol
He shiuld have toys at least
🤣😂
Leave me alone will you
We bred them to be dependent on us because we like to feel so powerful ...
Very cute. But it's about time we stop calling dog owners "parents", "mom" or "dad".
i am from Bangladesh 🇧🇩 Where are you watching...?

Comments are usually about the vid content. 👍 😂 👍
