  • they actually learned tutting from the basic movements for this song, even irene said it was too hard to practice this song but i guess they managed really pulled it amazingly. one of the best dances in kpop honestly

  • This is K-pop’s dance/choreo of the decade. Red Velvet never disappoints.

    • No kidding,always comeback here cuz no matter how physically active some of the others are... I feel like I could do them if tried/get in shape but this? Yeah couldn't in 10 years lmao

  • Hearing y'all call Irene and Seulgi "master level tutters" fills me with so much pride. Neither of them really had any tutting experience prior to preparing for this choreo. They both had to start from square one and nail down the fundamentals of tutting before even beginning to attempt to learn this choreo. They said they worked for months on just learning the basics. Spella (the choreographer) really worked with them and I think it shows!

  • This really hit me. I mean, those women are millionaires. They are STARS. They can just release music and make stupid amounts of money. And yet, they are so dedicated to their craft that they would spend almost half a damn year in a practice room, getting this incredible choreo JUST right. That is on some Kobe Bryant ish - putting up 1 thousand jump shots every day. I guess that's why they are millionaire stars, now that I think about it.

    • These women are ARTISTS, full on. Only a true artist would put this much dedication and artistry into the choreo for a music video. Irene & Seulgi represent the artistic pinnacle of K-pop.

  • Glad dancers and choreographers are seeing this in Western world. Just phenomenal!

    • right??! I put it in a western perspective for non-pop fan's context.. if dojo cat did chores like this WHILE singing, people would literally be losing their minds. The standards in Kpop are so high, they don't get enough credit for the insanely hard work they put into their art!!

    • @@dasiamay2324 O.K., just needed to add a reminder that this form of tutting is practiced and perfected by Americans (westerners), but, admirably adapted by these great artists.🤩

    • @@deejohnson4793 practiced and perfected by western performers and dancers, yes!! But it’s hardly done by singers, which was mostly my point. Having choreography this skilled is obviously already a thing among dancers, but we rarely see this level among singers. That was why I bought up doja, but you can replace her with any singer in that metaphor and it would still apply. Doja dances and has choreography, but imo, it’s not nearly as technical as what Irene and deluging are doing here.

    • Good distinction. They are singers and dancers. 👩‍🎤👩‍🎤👯‍♀️ (I have to use emojis, 😀).

  • So this is definitely not Irene and Seulgi’s specialty. Unbelievably, according to Spella, the choreographer, this was their first time tutting. Their talent is unfathomable.

  • I know I'm a little late, but... 5 months. It took them 5 months, starting from zero, to come up with this. As mentioned by Hani Amalia, they actually learned tutting for this video. They spent about 1 month learning the basics then they spent about 4 months creating the choreo with their choreographer, learning the choreography and practicing. That, to me, is VERY impressive.

  • The fact that they didn’t even get nominated for best choreography. Such a shame.

    @leetaeyongmarryme3461@leetaeyongmarryme34612 жыл бұрын
    • That's just the nature of all but 1 of the kpop award shows(the outlier, the Korean Music Awards, only covers music not choreo), they're effectively decided by fan popularity/votes/sales. Red Velvet as a whole got nominated for choreo for another song with normal choreo, because it was more 'popular'. It's the same reason the biggest groups win awards for even objectively bad songs, while relatively unknown groups don't stand a chance.

  • They could be surprised when they do dance with singing together so it is real performance video. The choreography is considered live version of singing and dancing together .it is hard that why 4 th generations of kpop is different from past and how they grow well.
