  • 😎😎looking good Sir ,quite a few helpers in this video . Have you seen Combat Dealers when the twins repaired a 251 pioneer 10 tonne bridge with soft wood because its tough but light. Looking forward to the Black Jack un boxing video👍👍.

  • Morning Tony, that's coming along nicely, I can imagine there was a bit of swearing when that top section kept dropping as you were trying to clamp it, I know I'd have called it a few names 😂

  • Very nice Tony cracking job, will you raise the bridge on legs and build a earth bank/ramp at each end? I have found a face book group that 3d print stone walls buildings etc. 1/6 War vehicles only is the group.

    • Morning Gary...thanks for your continued great comments and support. I am thinking to bed it on gravel and span over a ditch...I am not on facebook but my missus is...I will ask her to look these up...as you know I am looking to build a bombed out building diorama and 3d printed walls would be a great way to get started. Have a great weekend mate.

  • Tony, the bridge is coming along very nicely. Did the Pershing show up on Friday as expected? I am still etch priming. Doing the tracks now then will be done with aluminum, then finally the steel sheet metal parts. Going through 8 cans of UPOL!

    • Good morning Ray. Thank you. Yes I now have my Pershing. I will be unboxing this over the weekend. Sounds like you are romping away with your build...at this rate you will have yours completed before i put the first fixing in.😂😂 ..8 Cans!!! wow! thanks for the heads up...I have 6 cans ready, but sounds like I will need more. I am unsure on how I will start yet as I have not seen the instructions, but looking forward to all that head scratching before I get started. From what you have seen, is the build relatively straight forward?

    • @@tonys_workshop Good afternoon Tony. Well maybe you will use less paint than I. I kept ordering two cans at a time. The paint just seems to go so fast, understanding that there is a lot of waste in spray cans that does not hit the parts. Now on to the sheet metal and steel parts but I will be using a more traditional automotive etch primer which is 1/4 the price. My build will slow done quite a bit soon as the weather starts to get warmer and my property gets my full attention. I am sure you will out pace me, but I don't want this to go too fast anyway since it is meant to be a project in my retirement. Plus, I am afraid that when this is done, I will want another. I will be watching to see what Armortek has in their new product line this year. Looking at the pictorials it SEEMS strait-forward for the most part, but I have seen a couple pages where maybe there is some clarity needed. I wish their color prints were not so dark at times - hard to see clearly. Ad I did not see that when they specify Loctite, as to which strength to use, as I have 4 different grades - one for rubber, one for permanence, one for removal and one in-between. Have fun taking inventory, 1400+ plus parts. I was missing one suspension piece which they have already sent me. One last thought, be careful with the bottom aluminum base, there is one very thin piece on one corner at about a 45 degree angle that is easy to bend accidentally.

    • Hi Ray...I have just finished un-boxing...omg! that turret and front armoured section is so heavy, but brilliantly casted and finished. I must admit as I was un-boxing, I did start to tremble a bit as there are so many parts. There was some familiar sections which i hope I can understand, but a large glass of wine is now required to settle down and study the instructions. You are 100% correct, these kits are not for rushing, but for taking time to build and patience is all important. Not sure where I am going to start, but at the beginning seems like the best plan. Looking at the instructions, I may elect to de-grease and assemble the bottom hull section before priming and painting. Thanks for the heads up on the base, I will be careful. Hope you continue to enjoy the build and wishing you a great evening.

    • @@tonys_workshop Thank you. I decided I’m just going to get all the priming out-of-the-way on all the parts first before I start putting anything together. Have fun.
