Birding and bird photography on the Atlantic Coast of Florida is spectacular!
In this part 2 of Sparky's Florida Bird Adventure he travels from Jupiter to Miami and inland to find some amazing birds in interesting locations:
Jonathon Dickinson State Park-Florida Scrub Jays, Red-cockaded Woodpeckers, Brown-headed Nuthatches.
J.W. Corbett WMA-Bachman's Sparrow, Swallow-tailed Kite family,
Grassy Waters Preserve-Snail Kite up close!
Sparky also shares his best butterfly and reptile finds of the trip.
Lots of suggestions for a Florida trip when their politics improve. I wish you had enough for a part 3. Great birds and adventures.
More videos coming, Kathy!
Now I'm excited, Sparky. You have spoiled me for birding and travel videos
Some epic finds Sparky!
Thanks, Tomas! But I would have rather have been up on Hudson Bay :-)
Enjoyed again a lot Sparky
Thanks Servan!
Another awesome video, love that Halloween Pennant, and of course all the fantastic birds.
Thanks Sarah! Appreciate it. More coming!
Growing up in Florida...Pines are very common. We called them lightning rods...lol.
Ha!
Thanks for sharing this trip. Fantastic photo and videos!
Thanks so much, Tracy!

Beautiful, thank you!
Thanks for watching Aurora!

Thanks Andrew! And thanks for watching
Love the content as always
Thank you! And thanks for watching
Florida has some great birds. You found a lot of Burroing Owls!
Great birds any time of year! Summer would not be my first choice though :)
@@SparkyStensaas that's true, it's hot!!
I’ve been subbed to both of your for a while, please do a collab that would be cool!
Congrat's on the Bachman's! Loved this video. Awesome footage and animals. Thank you.
Thanks Kevin! Finally…long time coming
Cool Bachman's, and that Snail Kite...so neat! And great lizard photos too, Sparky! Someday I'll reach Florida...have rellies in Jacksonville and Gainesville areas, and met lots of photogs in the bog last winter from Florida.
Hi Randy! So many cool things to see and photograph in Florida! But like the Sax-Zim Bog in winter, shooting conditions, weatherwise are often tough. Best time to go is April and May for the most rated birds, but winter is great for Herons and Wading birds… If you avoid spring break :-)
My oldest child lives in Palm Beach County, so I love going down and spending a month or so with her and her family around March and April. Been to all the places in your videos and love birding and photographing in Florida. Really enjoy your videos and have been watching the ones on Sax Zim Bog as I'm headed out there this coming June. Hoping to maybe run into you!
That’s great Dickson! Lucky to spend that much time down there. Any targets for Sax-Zim in June?
Hello, a really nice video/vlog of you and you are a very good storyteller and combined with the wonderful images interesting to watch!! Greetings from the Netherlands
Thanks for your kind words @gijsvermeulen5248 ! I don’t know if I don’t know if I have any other viewers from the Netherlands! Welcome!
Not my area of the country to bird... but always love your videos. Can't wait for your next TRNP adventure. I reviewed your past videos before my last trip there.
Thanks, Kelly! Heading out there in early October and should have the video done by mid October. Thanks again for watching!
Paines Prairie near Gainesville is Snail Kite central! Also good for the herds of Bison and wild horses
Thanks for the tip, Keith! I haven’t been in northern Florida ever. Sounds like an awesome place.
We get a couple of those butterflies in our backyard......... fun stuff.
Hi Ron! I bet you do. When you coming to Minnesota next?
@@SparkyStensaas February is penciled in
I have seen a Bachman's sparrow as well as a red-cockaded woodpecker.
Very cool birds!
Always fun to watch!
I appreciate that!
Your spiny lizard is a curly tail!
Thanks!
Is that a red color band on the red-cockaded woodpecker’s leg?
Hi Dory, Yes! I think most of them are banded as fledglings in the state park. Red-cockaded‘s are probably one of the most monitored species in North America. Thanks for watching!
