The irony is your allegation that Netflix gets the Bible wrong, and I agree with you, but the Quran also gets the Bible wrong. Repeatedly..being brought to breaking points..seeing God's power..and again doubting..I feel sooo much weight. So much turmoil and pain..I too have repeatedly become angry...doubting..tired of doubt itself. Tired of the depth of emotions those trials take from within me...seeing Moses loved by God regardless...knowing he had nothing to prove but did anyway..it means so much and is a reference point for me to instill inside of my soul..to believe..to know beyond what is in front of me that God is able...no we can't see it..but we can feel God's presence in knowing his power..in knowing there is nothing to fear.

    • In the Qur'an there exist two fundamentally different conclusions to the story of Moses' contest with the magicians of the Pharaoh. After the power of Moses (given to him by God) was seen to be stronger than the power of Egyptian magic, we read: "... the sorcerers fell down prostrate in adoration. Saying: ‘We believe in the Lord of the Worlds,- The Lord of Moses and Aaron.’ Said Pharaoh: ‘Believe ye in Him before I give you permission? Surely this is a trick which ye have planned in the city to drive out its people: but soon shall ye know (the consequences). Be sure I will cut off your hands and your feet on apposite sides, and I will crucify you all.’ They said: ‘For us, We are but sent back unto our Lord: But thou dost wreak thy vengeance on us simply because we believed in the Signs of our Lord when they reached us! Our Lord! pour out on us patience and constancy, and take our souls unto Thee as Muslims (who bow to Thy Will)!’" S. 7:120-126 According to this passage, the Egyptian magicians have become believers, they confessed faith in the Lord of Moses and Aaron. They are even called Muslims in verse 126. In Sura 10, however, after recounting the same event we find this conclusion: "But NONE believed in Moses except some of the children of HIS people, because of the fear of Pharaoh and his chiefs, lest they should persecute them; and certainly Pharaoh was mighty on the earth and one who transgressed all bounds. Moses said: ‘O MY PEOPLE! If ye do (really) believe in Allah, then in Him put your trust if ye submit (your will to His).’ They said: ‘In Allah do we put out trust. Our Lord! make us not a trial for those who practice oppression; And deliver us by Thy Mercy from those who reject (Thee).’" S. 10:83-86 The report of Sura 7 that some Egyptian sorcerers become believers is contradicted by the categorical statement of Sura 10:83 that none but some of Moses' own people (the Israelites) believed in him.

  • I'm currently watching the series and reading the Bible at the same time and notice how many small details that are very important, have either been omitted or mistold. For example, the Egyptian princess did not lose her child and then found little Moses, but she went to the water to bathe. Or when God revealed Himself to Moses and said that He means "I am who I am and who I will be," right after that God said, "I am Yahweh, God of your ancestors, God of Abraham..." God's name is intentionally not mentioned, but only the meaning of His name. Yahweh is God's name and the meaning of the name is "I will be". When the Israelites created the golden calf as a representation of God, God killed many for deceiving Him. He thus showed how bad He thinks worshiping idols is, but nothing about it was shown or mentioned. I'm not surprised why it was left out since Christians wear Jesus' death on the Stauro/Xylon around their necks, which is exactly what God has always hated. For God, worship through objects can only be settled with death. So it's no wonder why it was kept quiet. Such films/series are intended to hide the true background and events, which to me looks like the deliberate work of Satan! The series doesn't show the most important events in the desert because it would show that today's believers are all idol worshipers...

  • I'm not too keen to watch this solely because the Bible's perspective might not be fully accurate. Only the Holy Quran truly honors Prophet Moses (AS) as one of God's greatest prophets. In Islam, we don't depict religious figures visually. For those who enjoy reading, delving into the Quran is essential to truly understand the profound legacy of Prophet Moses (AS). Those who hold a deep affection for him will surely be in awe.

    • @@madcircle0461Believe is not required. I know Jesus is a historical figure. That's widely accepted in academia (though he's nothing like the mythical figure in the Bible; heck, even Christianity in the early CE's is nothing like what it is today. Christianity was eschatological, which is far from what it is now). But there is no archaeological proof of Jewish people living as slaves in Egypt for 4 centuries, nor is there any proof of a mass exodus. Biblical scholars know this. Even your priest knows this because he's learned it in seminary. The only difference is that the scholars share this knowledge with the world, while those who went to seminary keep it from the world.

The Turkish nation, which is older than all divine or non-divine religions and accepts the existence of a single god, knew the truth of creation and the fact that there is a single creator long before the people of the Middle East. (Ancient Sky God belief). Turks did not embellish this reality with fairy tales. Because the children of the steppe liked to face facts instead of fairy tales. Until he accepted Islam. Even though we have accepted Islam and now love listening to fairy tales, we carry the blood of the only god of the skies with us. For this reason, Muslim Arabs and Jewish Israelites, who are genetically and culturally brothers, are on one side. We, the Turkish people, are on the other side.
